Mac’s Comics & Collectibles

Macs comics is awesome. Always with the newest issues on comic book day wednesdays. They also have a Comic pull list updated weekly for you to have your comics separated and ready for pick up the following week.
Went in today for Captain America #1 sad they didn’t have it but of course it isn’t there fault. That comic book blew up with the twisted ending that was blown up on all social medias. I did find though the final copy of Of DC Universe Rebirth #1. Plus some other goodies.
So come and check them out and release your inner nerd.

On Mondays there trade paper backs are 25% off! So I can get the Amazon prices with the comic book store experience! Nothing better than getting your comics at a good price, and chatting for a few minutes with the employees about all the current goings on in the comic book world.

This place is very clean and organized. Staff is helpful. They have a pull list so that way you have your comics waiting for you to pick up.
Great selection of new and old comics, novels and collectibles.
If you are into comics, this place is a must visit at least to once.

Opening the door to adults swearing up a storm should have been my first indication that I was walking into a douche convention. But I forged ahead. At the counter was one employee running the store and a couple cussing as loud as they could.
The husband kept shouting random stories like «When I got my second child baptized, right as the water hit his head he yelled „Shit!“ and the priest asked me „What did he say?“ and I replied „He said „SHIT!“ You’re water’s too fucking cold!“ My wife just looked down and said „yeeaaah“ We never went back to that church.»
Another gem he told the store was «If a little fucking kid comes into the store without his parents I always ask him „Aren’t you suppose to be in school?“ That’s why all these kids are so fucking stupid. It’s not my fucking fault that your kid’s a fucking tard with your tiny pencil dick. FUUUUCK!»
All this is coming from a parent of two while being in a store that markets primarily to children. Then came the conversation about Unilocal reviews. Apparently they have to be careful what they say to customers because negative reviews really hurt their business. All the employee had to say about that was «I don’t care, it’s not my store!» Followed by a hefty chuckle. It’s a good thing no Unilocal reviewer was in the store at the time or they may have gotten a negative review.

I’m subscribed to this store since May. The prices are really affordable. The employees are really friendly. The store is very organized and clean, nothing cluttered.
I hope they continue in business for many years.

This comic book Shop is great! The prices of the comics are fair and they have a bunch of comics that are 99c. Even better is when you buy 20 comics you get them for 10 dollars! And any comic you get after that is only 50c. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Honestly, go to this shop! There’s another comic store called A&M comic shop closeby. If you can help it, don’t go there. This place is MUCH better. I will definitely be coming back for more comics and supplys!

Have been shopping at macs for many years now I go every week to pick up my new issues if you want older issues I don’t recommend macs but if you want your weekly issues macs is the place to go the clerks are always very positive and friendly I remember once I asked when darthvader 1 came out and he took me behind the counter to show me pictures of the covers

This has been THE comic shop for since I was 5, 1^st thing I ever got was a remote controlled Mighty Morphing Power Ranger Zord.
Everything is so easy to find and well organized. With their email pull system it really is convenient especially wen you can’t make it there every week.
Surely the best spot for comics in Miami!

Came to Mac’s a few days ago to see if the reviews to this place were true, but I wasn’t satisfied.
I came expecting it to be a nice large space being that I’ve heard that they got a nice selection of comics and collectibles, but it’s actually somewhat smaller than I imagined. Although it wasn’t what I thought it would be the selection they had was still great and plentiful.
Now the reason I’m giving this review a 2 star is because of customer service. When I was dealing with the one employee there it felt like he was trying to rush me out of the place. It just seemed like he was disinterested and just wanted me to leave. I didn’t get his name, but he was somewhat of a big guy. It might’ve been that it was a slow day and that he was a little frustrated, but that’s still no reason to act the way he did. Maybe if I came back on another day I would have a better experience, but with what I already received I might not come back.

Definitely the best spot in Miami for comics. The one guy there in the mornings always remembers people and their pull lists. The discount for subscriptions is awesome and every little bit off helps. It’s well organized and everything is pretty easy to find. Would definitely recommend this place. I’ll continue to go here as long as they are around.

This a very organized and clean store that carries current print comics. The owner is a really great guy and will never hesitate to help out or give you his recommendations. They don’t carry any older comics with the exception of some back issues and series that are reprinted as graphic novels or collections. The main reason I came here the first time was to pick up the Before Watchmen series and they sell them already bundled for your convenience. They also sell the alternate covers and have plenty of independent comics. You can also pick up bags, boards and boxes for your collection. Check their hours on the website before you drive over because they don’t open every day. I might subscribe soon since this shop is so close to home, and I’ll update with my experience once I have.

Very organized and friendly staff. I came here for the first time ever on Free Comic Book Day and I was impressed at how smooth the crew over there ran things. I’ll definitely be back.

It’s a regular comic shop. It’s variety though is huge and has a subscription service that I don’t personally use because if for any reason you can’t go within a week, they take it out and you lose your comics. The figures are a little over priced but nothing to make the store look cheap. It’s well organized and the employees are helpful.

I’ve been going to Mac’s for a while now and I’ve never had a bad experience. The subscription service is the best, bar none. there is no way you can get a better deal than simply e-​mailing them with your pull list, coming in to pick it up on Wednesday (or Thursday, or Friday, etc.), and getting up to 25% off your final purchase if you pay with cash! The owner is extremely friendly, and they also have a huge collection of back issues, figures and statues. Many variants are carried in-​store and you can also place a special order in advance. Overall, Mac’s Comics is a fine establishment, and I don’t think I’ll be switching over to another comic shop anytime soon, or ever for that matter.

Thought I’d post a review up since I saw this place only had three stars and that’s no good. I’ve been to a lot of comic shops, and I’ve been to most of the ones in Miami, and Mac’s is the best one we have right now. I was considering quitting comics altogether when my old shop closed down earlier this year. Things were getting a little expensive, especially when I decided to help out the owner of the old store when the shop was declining by declining the discount he normally offered. I had tried another store near my house (they’ll remain nameless, I’m not running a smear campaign), but they were too expensive, ran out of stock quickly, priced up common variants, and other usual nasty tricks. I gave it one last go, and found Mac’s.
His system was like an upgraded version of the system my old shop used. No fee to get a box or pull list, a 25% discount (more than the old shop) for being a subscriber, and an additional discount is added for cash payments. This allowed me to continue collecting. I’ve come here once around noon, and my comics were ready, which is something I was told would happen but still wasn’t used to. I’ve never missed an issue since being here, and that’s all that is needed from a shop.
I haven’t been here that long, so I can’t make a comment on this whole «Mac’s not friendly» thing that’s going on here, but he’s been nothing but professional towards me. It took me a year and a half to build the banter I had with my old shopkeep, so I’m not expecting much convo when I walk through the door. I’ve never needed much help after he explained where things are and how things work, so I’ve never asked, and I’m he’d help out if I did.
I’ve also been to comic shops that are a way too overpowering with the nerd factor. I’m a true believer, no doubt, but some shops just bring out everything bad about being a nerd or fan-​boy/​girl. When I walk into places like that, even with my Iron Man shirt on and on a Wednesday, I feel out of place and just plain embarrassed to be in there. I’ve never had to experience that here, yet. Nor have I had to endure any looks or comics from a pretentious register-​monkey who’s sense of entitlement gives him free reign to determine your legitimacy as a comic fan.
So I don’t understand how people could call this place expensive or unfriendly. Is it the best comic shop I’ve been to in Miami at the moment. I mean, if you’re going to comic stores for atmosphere, décor, conversation, and/​or to be part of a nerd-​chic community, I’d suggest driving four hours to Orlando’s A Comic Shop, but if you’re looking for the best deal in comics without any stress, pretension, or hassle, then Mac’s is the best in town.

I’ve been a subscriber with Mac’s Comics for about 7 months now and I’m quite happy with the service and selection.
Mac’s specializes in new and recent comics. They do have a selection of back issues, but I recommend this comic shop for those who want to keep up with their current favorite comics.
They offer a great subscription service. You can opt to be emailed every week with a newsletter of what’s being released, so all you have to do is reply with what you want so you never miss a comic. You get 25% off if you pay in cash, and I think 20% off if you pay with a credit card. The discount has helped me save a ton of cash and also leaves me with some extra cash to check out other comics I wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.
If they don’t regularly get a comic you want, they also do custom orders for more obscure and indie comics. They’ve also got some toys and other collectibles.
My pull is always ready for me when I go, and I think I’ve only had a couple of instances in which I had a comic missing. When this happened, they’ve gotten it for me the following week.
Mac’s Comics is a great shop to get your comics from.

I’ve only gone recently to Mac’s Comics, but I don’t think there is a better store here with a great selection and really good deals (I think 25% off for subscribers, and you don’t have to order a ton of comics to get the deal) You won’t get better prices anywhere else if you subscribe, it’s very much worth it. The store is very nice too: clean and in order and the layout is good, with all the new releases plus tons of old ones. Also, if comics isn’t your thing, they have some cool figures/​collectibles/​busts there too. Service is friendly, and Mac is a cool, chill guy and always has your order ready for you. I highly recommend this shop and glad that I have a place where I can get my comics regularly.

They had anything I would have ever looked for in terms of comics but they embodied that weird comic book guy aesthetic. Never terribly friendly, there.
I had my box there for years until I discovered another, friendlier spot down the street.
