This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The tablecloths are dirty with food stains and crayon markings, the edges of the tables look like a dog has gnawed on them, and the menus have stains and folds on them. In addition to the sanitation issues, the service is unprofessional. The hostess took us to a table and just left the menus, utensils, and plates all thrown in the middle. The paper sheets that they pretend are tablecloths were dirty as well. Our waitress was unprofessional, didn’t introduce herself, and had her phone in her back pocket. It took a long time before we received any bread on our table. When I asked for balsamic vinegar and a steak knife, it took the waitress three times to get it right. When we ordered just three appetizers, she forgot what the third dish was. The most disappointing part of this experience was the food. Nothing about the food was extraordinary, much less acceptable. The calamari was actually soggy and not crispy like it should be. The portobello fries were too oily and didn’t taste like much. I actually had to leave and go to another restaurant to eat because I couldn’t finish any of the food.

Older crowd. Portions felt smaller and food was cold. I remember service being so much better when I was younger.

I went because of a family gathering. Our waiter was great. The bread served before dinner was ok. The house wine was ok and the food was less than ok. Lot’s of flavor around the the pasta but the dish it self was not great. Was fresh but not close to be delicious, I ask for penne pasta, house most ordered dish. The tiramissu was delicious. It’s not my type of restaurant, I like the mom and pop Italian restaurant style better. But alway ok.

Picked up 2 sausage rigatoni express lunches this afternoon and opened one up to find a roach inside the pasta. In disgust, I called to complain and inform the manager. He was nice about the situation and refunded my money but I will never be back there again.

Was going to go to Chilis but an hour wait at 6pm wasn’t happening. So we decided to go to Macaroni Grill. No wait at this time! The place is very nice and clean. I like the dim lighting and the décor. The waitress was very sweet. Food came out at a decent time. We were a party of five and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the shrimp scampi which comes with plenty of jumbo shrimp. Not just 3 – 5 like in other places. I want to say like 8 pieces. I didn’t count but enough to fill my plate. The prices are decent and you get a nice portion. Thumbs up

I gave this place another try after having a couple of bad experiences in the past. The place has a nice atmosphere; however, the food just didn’t do it for me nor my family. Service was ok, Our Wait time was good, only 25 – 30 minutes for a Saturday night. One thing I always like from them is the warm rosemary bread with the real olive oil and freshly crushed pepper. The food not as good as expected. The plating is nice but the food didn’t taste good specially when you compare it to other Italian chains that we dine at. Anyways, this was my experience last nigh and was not pleased. Also, what happened to the servers writing their name on the white paper table cloths :(

At one time I loved the Macaroni Grill and it was one of my very favorite restaurants. All the stores that are in my area have closed so when my daughter saw the restaurant on Kendall Dr. she insisted that we eat there. From the time we got there and stood at the hostess stand wondering if anybody was going to greet us it was bad. Then we were left sitting at our booth without anyone acknowledging our presence for at least 10 minutes, and multiple employees walked by the table. And then the waitress disappeared at check time which seems to happen at multiple restaurants. What is with that, you would think that they would want their service to shine at the end of your meal since they know you’re adding to the tip to their check. As for the food… My daughters meal was fine, But all she gets is pasta with marinara sauce so her meal was good. I had the pollo caprese, which was a flavorless piece of strangely textured grilled chicken. The lighting was bad at my table but I am sure it needed another minute on the grill. I has a couple of bites from the edges and that was all I could stomach. It came with a side of pasta with a tomato sauce and a few slices cherry tomatoes and 3 little slivers of mozzarella cheese. The pasta was decent. Then there was a pile of some leaves, I got a side of balsamic vinegar glaze to put on them because it needed something. With so many of their stores being put out of business I would think that the locations that are still around would try a little bit harder. Quality and services as gone downhill. It is very sad, I miss the old Macaroni Grill.

Came here for an appetizer style lunch since they have an awesome deal of $ 2 for $ 9.50 on select appetizers! My boyfriend and I ordered Mac and cheese bites, goat cheese peppedew peppers, spicy ricotta meatballs, and baked prosciutto Morelia. Our server started us off with fresh ciabatta with a saucer dish of olive oil and fresh ground pepper. I asked for fresh Parmesan cheese grated into the oil as well which pairs perfectly. The ciabatta is lightly crispy on the outside, fluffy and warm on the inside. This place is perfect for a first date because the tables are lined with a white paper cover and paired with crayons to draw on. Romantic restaurant vibes with a simple fun activity to break the ice! The baked prosciutto Morelia was the winner of appetizers with its ooey gooey chunks of mozerella wrapped in prosciutto and unbelievably fresh basil! The two goblets of meatballs were runner up with more basil, soaking in tomato sauce. The Mac and cheese bites were too crispy for my taste, and the peppedew peppers are a perfect for for those who enjoy goat cheese and balsamic vinegar lightly drizzled onto this combo! I only wished our server was more attentive to our table because there were a few things I wanted but had to ask other servers who passed by. Maybe since it was a slow lunch shift for her, she thought I didn’t need anything.

Dirty the chain has lost its charm. The booth we were seated in was filthy and graffiti on the pane. The cushions need to be replaced in booths they old and worn you can feel the springs also doing battle with gnats. Not for us.

I visited the restaurant for the first time this past Wednesday with my mom that was coming from out of the country and was craving Italian food, this was the closest that we had around and have heard that is a great place. Unfortunately it ended up being an unforgettable experience and not for anything good. We ordered the cremini pork shank and the chicken Marsala since it was a house favorite, the sauce was uneatable and extremely repugnant, since both of our dishes had the same sauce we could not eat any of our entrees, waiting over 10 minutes for the waitress to come to our table to check on us I tell her that the sauce it’s extremely repugnant all she tells me is that the cook they had that day was not really good and that I needed to go on a day that the«lady chef» was there because she was the good one, something that it’s not my fault and information that I find unappropiate for a customer to know. She went up to the manager to tell him that we didn’t have any of our meal because the sauce was so bad and he only offered for us to order something else, how would I order something else after being told that the cook they had was not good. Immediately I tell her that I don’t want to take the risk to wait and order something else after what was told to me and that I just wanted to leave and that if I had to pay for something that wasn’t properly cooked to bring me my bill. The manager never approached our table to appologize about the inconvenience and they ended up telling me that they had to charge me for at least one meal, of course they chose to charge me the priziest one end ended up having to give tip just for how uncomfortable the situation was. Ended up being charge $ 33.40 for a meal that was never eaten. No apologies no complementary dessert or coupon for another visit… Nothing… didnt not complain because I was so shocked about the response that I was getting that all I wanted was to leave. Luckily the shopping center had other restaurants and went to Chili’s, great service great food and funny story they even have a mini computer for you to pay and they give you a mini survey about everything from food, service, cleanliness, etc. I just find it funny how such an elegant place like macaroni grill offer such a service and a place like chilli’s that to me is more of an everyday place ended up offering such great experience. Macaroni grill never to consider such a disappointment.

The customer service was excellent I really hand it to the staff. I tried to place an order for pick up online but was experiencing difficulties. Called in and was taken care of, even got a coupon for $ 5 off of my meal. When I got home I was disappointed by the extremely dry and oily carbonara. This was my first time dining with them, in restaurant dining may be the better option. I possibly my give them another try, but today was a total let down.

I have been going to this location for many years, for a birthday here, a birthday there. Today’s experience was good. Food was good, just always very heavy. I think that they put far too much oil in their items. We always enjoy the comp bread, and the fried calamari for appetizer. I had the eggplant parm and my husband, the lasagna. Both ok, just nothing to write home about. This restaurant is not bad, food is ok, and service is good for the most part. I just much prefer smaller mom/pop type places, but don’t mind coming here when celebrating with family or friends.

This place was like a slow nightmare unfolding. The food is really, truly bad. I have been here a few times over the years and while I think everyone knows you aren’t going to Macaroni Grill to have the best Italian food of your life, you are going because you expect it to be affordable and consistent. Our experience this time wasn’t any of these things. We ordered several appetizers, including the fried calamari, the goat-cheese stuffed peppadew peppers, and the mac and cheese balls. The fried calamari was the most decent of the three; the stuffed peppers were greasy, heavy and drenched in a sticky-sweet balsamic glaze that was really off putting. The mac and cheese balls were also oil bombs, and not very flavorful at all. We also got a salad which had potential, but was so overly drenched in dressing that it was too salty and wet to enjoy. For entrees, we had the Classic Italian bake, which features a few different dishes, such as meatballs and baked ziti. A child could have made better tasting pasta and meatballs. Two of the diners at our table commented that the meatballs looked, smelled(and probably tasted) like dog food. We also got a margherita«fatbread» which is basically like a pizza, served with a tomato sauce on the side. The fatbread was indeed, fat, with way too much bread, and was overly greasy and lacked flavor. $ 60 some odd dollars later, we were extremely disappointed with our meal and will never return to Macaroni Grill.

I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and it came back an eternity later with a waitress that kept remarking how hungry she was. There was a point that she put her hand under her shirt and rubbed her stomach saying«Mmmh…I wish I could have some, I am so hungry» it was kind of weird ok not kind of VERY weird and wish I didn’t see my waitress do that. As she left I finally began to dig in only to find out that my food was cold and my noodles were raw. Like uncooked-type raw. Not going there again, did not enjoy anything. It was a pretty bad experience and have heard worse from some of my friends. Honestly I have been scarred for life and will not go to Macaroni Grill to dine!

Tho the waitress was taking her time. We had a really good time and the food was to die for. This place is beautiful for date night and family events. We didn’t have to wait to be seated, very surprised since it was a Friday night.

The staff is really awesome and friendly. The place is packed today so the kitchen is behind and we have a big party next to us consistantly complaining about how there food still isn’t on the table every five seconds, and once they got there food, continued to complain. Damn freeloaders! That would be the only bad part of my first experience here, which has nothing to do with the business. Our server, Britney, is super nice and very attentive. They were out of the Eggplant Parm which I really wanted but went with a chicken alfredo. It was very good. The place has alot of wear and tear which needs to be fixed but besides that I will definitely return to this establishment.

Absolutely horrible dining experience. First of all, we waited for over 30 minutes to be seated when the hostess lied and said they had called us a while before and marked us as a no show. After ordering from their very limited menu, the food took an hour to come out. We understood after that it was because of short cooking staff but what really did it in for me was the manager’s attitude after we explained the situation. Instead of trying to fix it, she continually argued with us that we were wrong about the time we had been waiting. The food was eh. Nothing to write home about at all. We then receive the check to see absolutely no discount or anything to make up for the terrible service. Our waiter even seemed embarassed by the manager’s attitude and embarassed to even work there(he later discounted the drinks off our check) Honestly never even want to go back there.

Food is great. But it is so noisy you can’t hear yourself think. They shout the names of the employees to pick up the food. Surely there are quieter ways to get the food out. There is no obvious sound absorbing materials used in the construction of the building On the positive side the opera singer was fantastic If you’re going to eat here, request a table as far away from the kitchen as possible.
