This place is large and conveniently located, cheap and not freezing when you walk in. It has that typical Latin flare to it, colorful, wood tables, latin soap operas playing on the TV in the back ground. I’ve never really been a huge fan of latin food but I wanted chicken and rice and they had it! It was plain and tasty as I wanted and dinner for two people was only $ 28.00 and that included beer, so I would say it’s a great place to get full on a budget. But note it’s not a fancy place you take a first date in my opinion. No frills! I would go back and get the same dish though

This is a neighbor restaurant for us that never fails to deliver a satisfying meal. While the ambiance is nothing special, there is plenty of room and the staff is always friendly. I have tried most of the items on the extensive menu and have never been disappointed — the soups, cerviche, chaufa and fried seafood dishes(shrimps, calamari, etc.) all offer generous portions at a reasonable price. There is free parking in back and never a wait(unlike its neighbor, Sabor a Peru, which is pricier without being appreciably better).

I’ve come here since I was in middle school and I’m in college now. And I’m Cuban which is funny because I just love any kind of food. The Peruvian cuisine here is excellent! and the staff is so warm and welcoming. I love coming here. Try the ceviche or the jalea with chaufa. 3 of my favorite plates.

Service was horrible. Waiter took 30 minutes to come to the table. No utensils. After 45 minutes they told us one of the plates ordered was not available. Hour later we are still waiting for the food we ordered instead. Horrible service and for the price we pay its not what it should be.

I chose the«Chaufa de Mariscos» which is a seafood fried rice(I Highly recommend)… When my food came out I was like woahhhh this plate had EVERYTHING… I think 3 people could have ate from how big it was! I really loved it. However, What I wasn’t to happy about was the whole wait. I understand we had 17 people in the party but why does it take 25 min to get us a glass of water? Other than that I loved the food and the vibe.

I stopped here after work one evening to order food for my family. I’m a big fan of Peruvian food but had never been here so I went the safe route. I Ordered the lomo saltado, pollo saltado and the Jalea Mixta. The lomo saltado and pollo saltado were good but theJalea mixta was a bit disappointing. There was more calamari in it than anything else maybe 3 pieces of yuca but the taste was ok. Overall the food was ok. The restaurant setting is similar to a diner. The staff was nice. Will I return? Yes.

Is not a good example of Peruvian food, the ceviche has a weird taste, the causa de camarones don’t have shrimps at all only 2 on top and the jalea mixta over cook and no enough mix, more calamari than any thing, I really don’t recommend

I have been here a couple of times during the week for lunch. The food is moderately priced, but we’ll worth it. I have had the traditional Peruvian dishes before(arroz chaufa con mariscos, lomo saltado) and they were incredible. Sometimes Peruvian food can be a little greasy, but not here. The food was cooked to perfection, without extra oiliness or grease. This was most evident on my last outing, when I ordered the Jalea Mixta. This was literally a mountain of fried seafood and yuca, which is mouth watering delicious and filing. But that wasn’t enough. We had to go in with the Pescado al ajo, which is grilled fish in garlic sauce and potatoes in its creamy goodness. Their Salsa Verde and ceviche salad added even more to the flavours that were already present. If you’re looking for delicious Peruvian cuisine at a moderate price, this is definitely a place you want to visit. Buen Provecho.

Terry casual spot. The food is great, the server we had was named Edgar. He was so attentive, he made sure nothing else was missing in our table. He was also very friendly to my daughters.

I love going there but there is one particular server that has a really bad attitude. Everytime you ask questions he tells you to look at the menu. No manners at all. Not sure of his name was not print on the receipt and he did not have a name tag. I will love continuing to go there but the service needs to improve…

The ambiance is simple, the AC is on high. The food is good, but not memorable. The service was A-Ok. They do have free parking, and salsa bands that play on weekends. The restaurant is fairly clean, but feels dirty. The décor/tables/chairs/etc are a step above McDonalds. The food is quite good. The Lomo Saltado was delicious, the ceviche was a bit on the salty side(but also quite lovely). The Chaufas was a bit greasy, the octopus in purple olive sauce was somewhat heavy. The deep fried shrimp and fish was good, but also on the greasier side and the breading was not memorable. The Sangria was too sweet and noone in our party finished their glass. I would eat here again, it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t amazing; and with so many Peruvian restaurants this one doesn’t really stand out.

One star for service. Tho the food was not all that my friends told me it would be. We sat down and after a long while the waiter(no idea of his name since he didn’t introduce himself) showed up and stood there. My friend had to simply say, «…yes, we will have something to drink I guess!» Finally after waiting for a long time for our food, it arrived, cold(no utensils or the promise any). I had to send it back. They promise it would take 5 mins to make… when originally took over half an hour. I didn’t exactly received a new one(saw the piece of fish missing that I had eaten). Needless to say, not impressed at all. I’ve had amazing Peruvian food and this was not one of them.

Food is great but service sucks. And the waitress had the biggest attitude ever! My boyfriends kids had to wait 8min for an over easy egg after waiting 30 min for their food.

The Seafood rice is awesome and the first and only dish I’ve eaten. The inside always seems empty. It could be because the space is large or people just don’t like to sit down and eat here. There can be language barriers with the staff but when I want a good rice dish I definitely go here.

The soups in this place are delicious. Can’t go wrong with aguadito de pescado, yo get a big portion and always hot. Papa a la huancaína is a must and the parihuela is great too.

El servicio y atencion al cliente no es el mejor, la comida esta aceptable, la propina incluida en la cuenta, talvez sea el motivo de la poca atencion!

I love Peruvian style Ceviche. To me, there is no other way. This place is legit in that respect. The portion size was huge for one serving for one person! I could not finish my plate. I stopped in for lunch the other day and service was with a smile, nothing to complain about here! I wish the fish was JUST A TAD more cooked but only a teeny weeny bit. ((Personal preference.))

I come here often and love the food, the portions and specially that it wont break the bank. Portions are big so most plates are perfect for sharing. Highly recommend the ceviche de pescado, la causa with tuna, the saltados, and the arroz chaufa.

Mal!

Slow service After we sat and waited for over 20 minutes to order, we still got the wrong food. Needless to say we end up leaving. The restaurant was not even totally full. We got to enjoy our appetizers and drink. When the food was delivered it wasn’t what we ordered. The waiter got mad because we would not eat it. He refused to give us his name. We like to enjoy and promote local places but when the service and attitudes are not right I will call them out. There are plenty of Peruvian rest in the area. Go try another one. Don’t go to this place. Peace!

Sorry, but my past two experiences here have dissuaded me from coming here again, at least in the very near future. The second to last experience ended up becoming a 2-hour ordeal, when our meal should have taken maybe 1 hour, tops, but what really took the cake was this Saturday. There were perhaps 8 seated tables. We were asked to sit and waited, and waited, and waited. After 15 minutes and no water, nor other acknowledgment, nor any waiter coming by to take our order, we stood up and walked out while the waiters stood around at the bar and looked straight at us. No apology or attempt to convince me and my friend to stay. With that attitude, the message they sent is «we don’t care enough about you to serve you», which is fine, there are plenty of other Peruvian restaurants throughout Miami that would be happy to provide us with service. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
