This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company, ever, and according to the BBB, we’re not the only ones.
My fiancé ordered engagement rings for us at the end of October. Their site says they will ship in 8 – 15 days. Here was the first big red flag — end of November rolls around and there was no word from them. My fiancé sent a message through their contact form (which they claim to respond to within 24 hours). A few days goes by, no word from them so he filed a complaint through Google wallet, which is what he used to pay for the rings. Surprisingly (or maybe not so much) they got their act together the next day and sent a tracking number. They claimed to have issues with customs which is why shipping took so long.
Our rings arrived December 6^th, and they were much too big. We figured this was simply because my fiancé didn’t know our sizes. To our dismay, when we went to a jeweller she told us the ring sizes were even bigger than what we ordered.
What we ordered: 8.25 and 11. What they sent us: 9.5 and 11.5.
We contacted them to get this fixed right away. We received no response from them. We contacted Google wallet, but according to the company’s policies, they don’t refund custom sizes. A claim has been made through our credit card company.
I decided to contact them myself and surprisingly I got a response.
Unfortunately, the response I keep getting is «ship them to us and we’ll resize them for you for a $ 70 fee». They keep insisting that the sizes they sent to us were correct according to their ring sizer, however they cannot offer me any documented proof or the special ID that was assigned to our rings. I have had these rings measured by a jeweller and we measured them ourselves with a calliper and consulted the ring sizing chart available on their webpage, which they keep linking me to, and the chart indicates that the rings are in fact too big.
Countless emails and these are the two things they keep telling me: My finger probably does not conform to normal ring sizes (??? I know my size but this is not the issue) and that for a fee they can resize it for us.
What should have happened, once proof was sent was: We’re sorry, please send us those rings and we’ll send you new rings in the correct sizes.
We have found a different jeweller who can make us similar rings. Stay clear of this company.
