I work right next door to the cupcake store and boy do i love it!!! They have the best cupcakes anywhere! Thumbs up to the owner… you know who you are!!! The cupcakes get made fresh on the daily and i love them! My favorite is the guava but ive tried some of the others and well… theyre all little pieces of heaven!!!

So excited that they opened one close to me! Their cupcakes are moist and yummy. Good place in the Plaza nice parking as well. I like how they can have parties such as baby showers and kids parties in the back of the store.

Good stuff! It’s not the same quality of service as the original in sunset but it’s close and will do. Not sure what all the complaints are about. The cupcakes are good and the venue is nice. Try it out!

Super sweet, but delicious, moist, decadent and buttery cupcakes. Hits the spot every single time. I got the red velvet, chocolate and vanilla with nutella frosting, guava, and vanilla coconut. They we’re all amazing! They’re also building a place in the back for baking lessons, parties, and wine tastings while you bake! Love this place!

First things first, the service was amazing. The young lady working the front (whose name I forgot to get) was very pleasant and helpful. As soon as I stepped in the door I was greeted by a chipper voice and a smile. She then proceeded to review the flavors of cupcakes currently in stock. Keep in mind that I’d gone there on a mission. I’d already researched their menu so I went in knowing what I wanted which is just what I ended up purchasing. Intially upon request there were not any guava cupcakes in stock but she was so kind as to check in the back (without me having to ask) and guess what she found in the fridge? You guessed it, guava cupcakes.
I thoroughly enjoyed the red velvet, the guava cupcake with the exception of the garnish didn’t taste much like guava, and the caramel pecan was way too sweet. Additionally, I wish that the cupcake were standard size. I won’t complain too much though because at 1.25/each and 7.50 for 6, it’s like being able to sample most of what they have to offer at a discount.
I think that this place is worth trying out.

I found LA sweets after eating nearby on a Saturday night. We walked in about 8:30 pm and the young girl behind the counter was extremely helpful. Not only did she go over the history of LA Sweets with us but she also went into detail about all of the different cupcake flavors on display. Of course, we had to try the Patrón flavored cupcake! I like that these cupcakes are fluffy and light, they didn’t taste like they had been out for a long time and they were small (you don’t feel as guilty devouring five tiny cupcakes in less than 5 minutes). My favorite flavor was the Samoan, it tasted exactly like the Girl Scouts’ cookies! The only downside to these cupcakes is their size. Definitely visit if you’re in the mood for a small treat.

These cupcakes are very delicious. They are moist, buttery but very sweet. They have a fun variety of flavors. One cupcake (mini) is enough because of how sweet they are. They are good– I wouldn’t turn one down but they aren’t my favorite. My kids liked them better than our regular cupcakery. The most unique thing I noticed about their flavor options was a selection of cheesecake flavored– strawberry, choco and caramel cheesecake. I tried the guava though, and was quite tasty.
I don’t give it 5 STARS cause it didn’t too my fave!

I’ll start by saying I’ve been the number one fan of LA Sweets since they first open in Sunset… So i couldn’t be more excited when i learn i was going to have a location open just a few blocks away from my home. I started going frequently since the first week they opened, even though it is a very small location it always had a good variety of flavors and the staff has always been exceptionally nice. Now with sadness and disappointment i have to say that in the past few months I’ve gone to buy cupcakes and the quality has gone down really badly… the cake of the cupcakes sometimes is oily, sometimes is dry and the worst part is the frosting! one thing i appreciated of LA sweets was that delicious, fluffy, creamy, light, not too sweet frosting, that i could eat by itself! Now its a block of grainy, sandy, pasty, diabetic coma sweet frosting… yuck /​/​i really much doubt that Letty and her husband are still the owners I’m going to assume they sold this location as a franchise or that they hired a new baker that is in need of more training… because it would be a shame that those cupcakes are being sold without their taste supervision/​quality control. Im going to have to give this location a brake and start going to other cupcakes stores in the area, ill go later on to the Sunset location so i can compare if it has the same problem.

I think between birthdays and baby showers I’ve sampled every cupcake flavor they make. It’s hard to pick a favorite, they are all moist and fluffy. I like that they use cream cheese in a lot of their frostings, which gives it a bit of tang. We’ve all had desserts that just simply taste of sugar.
The red velvet cake they made for my friend’s party was amazing, and I don’t even like red velvet. The sponge cake was dark and chocolatey, and the frosting not too sweet. Delicious.
If only they offered gluten-​free and vegan versions!!!

Cupcakes were good not cant live without great. It’s just the right size to feed your sweet tooth but it was a little greasy, but hey it’s a fatty food. I would still go again Bc they good!

On a Sunday night we came here because Micha’s was closed. I feel this place is trying to be like Micha’s Cupcakes but, falls way behind. Their cupcakes are nothing in comparison. Mediocre taste and the frosting is watered down and not creamy. Another thing I did not like about this place, is that the first thing out of the server’s mouth is how their products were featured in cupcake wars on t.v. Apparently, they need to sell you the cupcake because it cannot sell itself which, tells you alot about their products. You want delicious cupcakes, go to Micha’s and do not waste your time coming here.

LA Sweets will satisfy your sweet tooth in a pinch, and with its location between Lime Mexican and Off the Grille, it could make a huge name for itself, unfortunately it is not quite yet at the Misha’s level.
The customer service is exceptional, anytime I have walked in (alone or with my girlfriend), the young employee remembers our faces, explains each cupcake and shares his favorites. He mentions the deals going on at the time and which cupcake is the rotating daily one. I have zero complaints about any of the employees working there.
The cupcakes themselves are ok, nothing out of this world. Their ideas are very interesting, and I did enjoy the guava and patron flavors, but overall they are a bit greasy and heavy with not enough taste to them. I don’t mind the heavy if it is coupled with an explosive or impressive taste, but heavy without the follow-​through. Sometimes I have eaten 2 different cupcakes and I wasn’t sure which was which, not a great sign.
I will still pop in now and again, especially for the Patron cupcake (follow that direction, it’s quite good!), but I haven’t been 100% sold yet.

So happy they opened a place in Kendall!
The pricing is much better than that of Brickell location and also plenty of variety.
The weekly discounts are what keep me coming back so keep up the good work!
Customer service is great two employees helped me different days and both were nice and knew the merch!

I agree with one of the Unilocal reviewers in that the customer service was exceptional, especially coming from a young employee. He was extremely helpful, and explained each cupcake very well, and had a wonderful demeanor about him. Always smiling, making me excited to be there. But it ends there…
As far as the cupcakes, I wasn’t impressed. The presentation seem promising, but once I took a bite, I felt like they were all too buttery and greasy. It was way to heavy, and mind you, these are little mini cupcakes. I was kind of disappointed.
Sorry, LA Sweets, I wasn’t digging it.

I thought I’d never meet a cupcake I didn’t like until I met you, LA Sweets. Where do I even start… So many flavors and so many disappointments. These cupcakes aren’t fresh. My guess is they are baked off site and shipped over here where they are crammed into display cases like sad clowns in a very tiny car with no AC. The cake itself is dense, greasy (slick, shiny greasy, that’s never good) and pretty flavorless. The red velvet was red, like really red (like a greasy clown’s nose) which was completely unappealing and I’m sure just as unhealthy. The frosting was mediocre at best. The double chocolate frosting/​ganache was rich and flavorful and that is the reason for the extra star. Tragic.

Love this place! The two times i have been the staff is professional and knowledgable! The cupcakes are delicious, i love the guava, ricky martin, and the red velvet. I have tried others and they are great! I would recommend this place to all of my family and friends!

Honestly, it’s 2.5 star rating. Here’s the scoop.
Half a star for the cupcakes and the rest goes entirely to the awesome young man who assisted us.
The customer service we encountered was phenomenal for someone his age. He was definitely in his teens, but had a wonderful disposition– something a lot of teenagers lack these days. If they’re smart, or any other business owner reading this, you want this kid working for you.
As far as the cupcakes. Well. Disappointment pretty much sums it up in one word.
The cupcakes remind me too much of Mischa’s. Too dense, too greasy and simply too artificial in taste. We had the red velvet, the coconut rum, the strawberry cheesecake and the guava. They’re too hearty and just lack finesse (yes, I look for finesse in a cupcake!).
I am sure there’s a market for these cupcakes, they’re just not for me.
