Very good place for Colombian food. Burgers are awesome and the hot dogs are the best part they are Colombian street dogs with potatoes stick and many different sauces they are out of this word. Great spot to eat in the brickel area. Service is good and so is the food great spot

I ordered their hot dog with quail egg. The quail egg was ok, the bun and toppings ok as well. The hot dog was pretty dry and overcooked. Not sure if I will go back again.
Side note: The staff was a bit slow but very polite.

I came here for lunch and had the shrimp scampi. Probably not the best choice for an entrée when coming to a Colombian restaurant but it was delicious nonetheless! The food was great, the service was prompt, and they had good background music playing. I would definitely recommend.

worst arepa i’d had, its like im eating a paper towel, i ordered 4 chorizo con arepa which is sooo dry and no taste at all, and 2 salchipapas… i end up throwing everything, cant even eat it. my friends are laughing for having those kind worst of food.

A solid locals late night place to grab traditional Colombian dishes, sizable portions, good atmosphere place is always buzzing with life, already 3^rd night here in a row :) Brickell and most of downtown Miami seems to house trendy and rather expensive places that all seem to close relatively early, so it’s nice have a place like this to grab food, particularly wonderful for after a long productive night of boozing lol. They have classic dishes, but also street food… Like their own twist on a loaded hot dog… Try it! (Pics below) so goodddddd ! I swear I ate half my body weight but Jesus Christ I’m addicted. Good service too, staff is friendly. Honestly the only bad thing I can say about this place is DONT SIT by the kitchen. The way the kitchen person rings the fucking bell is enough to give you a nervous tick. I started twitching from that shit, there’s def a more efficient and subtle communication amongst staff and kitchen. Ruined the atmosphere for me. But anyway, dope spot!

Had great late night meal at la moon. I got the fries a d the crazy burger. The burger was great and the fries were perfectly crisped. It was busy but the wait isn’t bad and it’s open after 3am. Quality food overall and nice atmosphere.

Nice restaurant! accessible for rides, its also along the road that captures customer to stop over for food craving. Its a cool and nice place to hang out with friends, drinks so refreshing.
.chill chill… As for foods you can have any Colombian Foods and Styles… Crazy moon burger, La Supermoon Perro terrific!!! almost all hotdogs were Yummy and delish!!! good service they have!!! COME AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEVER REGRET!!! love it!!!

I was in town for a meeting and got there early enough to have lunch before. I was looking for places on my phone, and everything seemed really far away to be walking to in the heat. I came across this place when I was looking for another and came in just to cool off. I am super glad I did! It got the salmon special, which the waitress neglected to tell me came with calamari and clams too. BONUS! It was so much food for such a reasonable price. I will go out of my way to come here every time I am in Miami. I love places that serve good food without the big city price tag. Totally chill vibe inside too.

Delicious Colombian food at a decent price! Ordered the Niçoise salad with a blackberry smoothie, but also tasters the Crazy Moon Arepa Burger. Everything tasted fresh and was served in quite large proportions. Service was a bit slow and the atmosphere was very laid back with ESPN playing on the TVs. Take-​out orders seemed very popular although there were many tourists and Miami residents eating here.

After partying on St Paddy’s Day, i came here to grub! This establishment looks like a «dive» but in reality the food is authentic & quite good. The ambience is casual and mostly patronized by locals as they are open til 5am. I ordered the Argentian skirt steak medium rare which was perfectly cooked ($ 15.99) and the dish comes with a small salad, rice & black or red beans and tostones. This is a good price for the amount of food you get. The bottles imported beer was $ 2.50 (heineken) which is cheap. My partner ordered the chicken filet ($ 11.99) which was served with same sides as skirt steak dish. All very delicious & conveniently located to home. We will return but need to try the «burger» & empanadas next time.

Enjoyed dinner at La Moon on a Thursday evening. I ordered the Colombian Hot Dog and the Salchipapas.
Quality
The most important thing about La Moon is to understand that what it is. La Moon is not a great Colombian restaurant, but it does what it does well. It serves crowds of people, typically intoxicated people delicious fast food style cuisine. Importantly, they serve this food extremely well. On this occasion I was not intoxicated, but was craving a hot dog and La Moon is the first thing that popped in my head. The Colombian Hot Dog is delicious as it is a quality hot dog layered in the five different sauces and served with potato chips on top. The Salchipapas are a bowl of yellow potatoes covered in pink sauce with pieces of hot dog strewn in. It is a perfect combination, just be cautious because the potatoes do come out hot.
Quantity
The Colombian Hot Dog is large and with the Salchipapas it was perfect for me to share with someone. However, I must make it clear if you are a bit intoxicated you probably need one just for yourself.
Value
It is a lot of good food for a very good price. Of course there are other things you could go with on the menu, but if you stick with the classics you end up with a great meal at a similar cost of a drunken trip to another fast food place.
Ambiance
La Moon is located in Brickell, right next to Blackbird and two blocks from Mary Brickell Village. It has a good sized patio with tables and chairs and some space inside as well. It follows a standard drinking schedule as it remains open all hours of the night on the weekend. It is not a place that many people seek out, but it is more a place people end up after a few too many. There are a few televisions always playing soccer and Spanish music typically in the background. It is a place that was on and is proud to have been on Man v. Food, thats really all you need to know.
Crowd
I came at an off time, but still there was a good number of people enjoying the weather sitting on the patio. La Moon can get extremely packed especially as the night progresses and once bars start shutting down you can watch the crowds of young folks migrate over.
Service
The restaurant is what it is and you cannot expect tremendous service. The waitresses are nice, but they are just doing the bare minimum. They know what people are coming for so theres no reason to bend over backwards. I’m surprised they even use table service instead of order at a register.
Parking
It is in Brickell so as I’ve said before it is street parking and it is often difficult to find. If you know you need something at Publix it may make sense to park in their lot and buy something to get validated. Honestly though most people find their way to this spot way past when they should be driving.
Extra
La Moon is certainly not a hidden gem, but it is a hot spot well known to locals. The food is good and cheap and goes down well with a few drinks. Definitely a must try if you are out and about in Brickell.

Why happened to my beloved hot dog? I used to love this place, especially at their old small location. After moving into bigger digs, and who could blame them, they maintained a high standard of doing what got them there, good, fast, cost efficient junk food served into the wee hours of the morning. However on my most recent 3am visit I was crushed to see, or in this case taste, what had become of my most beloved Colombian hot dog in the 305 area code. Was I less intoxicated than on previous visits? Surely not for a lack of trying. The condiments were not the problem, the normal copious amounts of pineapple relish, mayo infused with ketchup, more ketchup, bacon, crispy potato fries and the quail egg to crown it all off were all horrifyingly satisfying. However, the wrinkled, overcooked, dried out, puny, excuse for a hot dog will never be forgotten. «Hey Chef!» I wanted to scream in a semi inebriated stupor. «The poor thing was already dead, you didn’t have to kill it once more!» Their crowd has not diminished and all but 3 tables were taken by customers winding down their nights. I hope to return soon and update this review with a more flattering one.

This place. I was sober and still housed my crazy moon arepa burger. A crazy moon arepa burger is a thick beef patty topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, fried egg, bacon, and chipotle mayo between TWO arepa (fried corn/​cheese) patties. It’s insane. It’s heaven. No possible way to look sexy while eating this burger, though my girlfriend took the knife and fork approach. I did not.
I love La Moon after a night of bar-​hopping or dancing in downtown/​Calle Ocho/​Brickell. It’s always packed with partiers, and people are generally in a funny, friendly vibe when they’re at La Moon. It’s a local spot with a very Miami feel.
Yuca fries with cilantro mayo were fab, and they’re known for their Colombian hot dogs. Haven’t tried those yet. Whether you want a juicy burger with a fried egg on top or just a plate of rice and beans, La Moon just does a great job. Their sancocho (traditional Colombian soup) is a hit with all the native Colombianos I know.
Whether you’re sober or not, La Moon will be damn good and you won’t be disappointed.

Come here and get that Super Moon Perro which is basically a hot dog with a quail egg in the middle. It was one of my favorite snacks/​meals I’ve had in Miami and something I heard lots of locals like to munch during a night of drinking.
Service was terribly slow and it seemed as if like the workers were fighting or something. I mean, the restaurant wasn’t even busy but at one point we heard the cook ring the bell like 10 times and no server came to deliver the food – the cook himself had to come deliver our food. The servers clearly weren’t that busy and were ignoring the bell for some reason. People around us were also getting frustrated. Because of this, I can’t give more than 3 stars.
So other than the service mishap, the experience was good and the Super Moon Perro can be an awesome addition to your Cuban food exploration mission. Be sure to check this place out but don’t expect superb service!

I returned here on a recent Saturday night /​early Sunday morning with a group of 3 others after bar hopping in Brickell (after all, isn’t that really what La Moon is best known for?)
This is the first time I’ve been to La Moon’s newer location, which is just a short distance from their old place. Everything is similar. Still not quite enough seating for the amount of patrons who come here, still a line for the restrooms, and still about the same menu. What does seem to have improved is the service and wait time for food.
I had the Pincho De Carne con ensalada, or beef skewer with salad, and a Sprite. I was really happy with my food, it hit the spot on this late night, and the price was fair — For the pincho and a soft drink, the total came to just under $ 15 before gratuity.

Delicious authentic Columbian food. It was a great ambiance and incredibly cheap.
We had the beef empanadas, Arepa con Lecha, and deep fried chicken with red beans, rice, and yuca. It was amazing!
This is another place where servers don’t really speak English so brush up on your Spanish!

Small place on the corner of 8^th Street. Very cute industrial look on this inside. Not too much décor but friendly and clean. Food was traditional Colombian cuisine. Very well made with good flavor with a homemade feel. Only drawback is the parking because the area is currently all under construction therefore parking was limited but not to be missed if you are in the neighborhood. Friendly staff.

Lazy night or a drunk night? Head over to La Moon! Another one of my go to restaurants! I always call in and do pick up, otherwise be prepared to wait for a bit. Definitely a full house towards the early am though. All of my native Miamian friends always make fun of me for eating La Moon sober.
They’ve been featured on Man vs Food and have great weekday breakfast specials– but I have to always get the Perro Columbiano. Definitely a lot of variety and they have specials for each day of the week. I’ve tried quite a variety off of the menu and have to say that everything is pretty good and good value for the portion sizes.
Non-​brickell residents– beware of parking!

There is a lot of construction going on around this place, but don’t let that discourage you from figuring out a way to make it work and trying this place out! Today I conquered the madness of Downtown traffic, Miami drivers at 5pm & rude Pedestrians for 1 thing only…
Über bummed my phone died (–_​_​_​_​_​-​) & I wasn’t able to get a picture of my mouth-​watering, homemade Colombian Empanadas. ($ 1.40 a pop!) They were FIYUHHHHH! Unlike your commonly seen «fauex-​panadas» across Miami, La Moon has the formula down pact! All of the crevices of these fried delicacies are STUFFED with chunks of perfectly cooked beef, potatoes & veggies. They’re fried to order which is really the only way to enjoy empanadas; FRESH! Served with a side of their salsa picante (hot sauce); I heard the gates of heaven open at my first bite. Needless to say, ordering 1 or sharing is NOT recommended ;)
Fresh juices also available: Mango, Guanabana, Lulo, Maracuya, to name a few; all water-​based, refreshing & delicious! Indoor & outdoor seating available. Great staff who offer friendly & speedy service. Menu offers a ton of variety & an extensive selection of classic Colombian dishes.
This is a place worth coming to for Breakfast ($ 4.25 specials!), Lunch, Dinner, midmorning, midday, or even for a midnight snack. Can’t wait to be back for an Arepa Rellena!

Known for an after hours spot… I decided to come in for lunch…
My first impression is that the party never stops here… The floor is dirty with papers, sugar packets, and food…
The chairs and booth seats are ripped and loose…
However, the service was good, food came out fast.
We ordered a Picada (empanadas, plantains, meat, pork skin, chorizo, blood sausage, lettuce and tomatoes) and an order of Quail eggs.
The assortment of the Picada is great, but the actual quality of each item is debatable. The empanada was not great, the blood sausage and the meat was dried (and fried)
The quail eggs where the best thing in our table. I guess if you show up at 4 AM and drunk everything tastes great!!!

Personalmente he ido en varias ocaciones con mi novio, y puedo decir que la comida esta bien, pero el servicio suele ser muy malo, se tardan mucho para tomar la orden, para traerla aun mas, y luego hacen esperar hasta para traer la cuenta… Deben mejorar el servicio y aprovechar mas la ubicación de su restauran, ya que la decoración esta muy pobre y descuidada. Ojalá mejores, suerte!
