La Lupita is authentic Mexican in the heart of Brickell. The food is always great and service varies, but is mostly on the positive side. I have tried a variety of items on the menu and the only one i would advise to stay away from is the fish ceviche, which is made with tilapia and tastes a bit like dirt… Otherwise, everything else is delicious and most importantly, authentic.

This little place is worth seeing out. It is located near the 10th street metro Mover station. The service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the enchiladas and they were excellent. The place is reasonably priced. I will definitely be back.

This place rocks! Their tacos are amazing and flavorful. Service is quick, place gets really busy after bars close. The price is great for the area and for all of Miami is a great value. The location cannot be beat in Brickell, you don’t drive anywhere, just walk from bar or club to La Lupita. Beer buckets available and a huge array of tacos and mexican dishes on their menu. Staff is bilingual and very professional. I get there every chance I get.

Solid Mexican food! My wife and I have been living in the Brickell area and for some reason we had never tried la lupita despite walking by it hundreds of times. Usually when I’m in the mood for a burrito, I make my way to my ceviche. However, my ceviche isn’t «traditional» Mexican food and la lupita definitely comes close to fitting the bill. We arrived around 9:30 and sat immediately at one of the outdoor tables. Minutes later, we were greeted by our sever with menus. Starving, we quickly ordered chips and guac. For dinner, I chose the la lupita burrito and my wife chose the gringas(quesadillas with protein). Shortly thereafter, the waiter returned with what can only be described as a heaping platter of tortilla chips with a generous portion of guac sitting atop. The guac was good, not great and the chips were served cold. My preference for tortilla chips especially fresh, deep fried chips are to be served hot. La lupita also offers three sauces(not salsas) to accompany the chips. The sauces were bold and the only memorable option of the three was the sauce(salsa) verde. One of the major pluses about la lupita is the amount of food. My burrito was big enough for two meals and my wife’s gringas were both satisfying and filling. Another plus is that the food isn’t expensive which is also a nice change to most of Brickell’s Mexican food options. Our service was great and our food was very good! I would come back to la lupita!

Not great, food was tasted ok. I got the 3 tacos comb– chorizo, steak and chicken tacos– with rice and refried beans. Rice tasted like uncle bens rice. My friend got the burrito, it was huge. She said it was ok. My hubby got something that started with an A, it was basically fajitas, he said the meat tasted good. We could see the guy in the kitchen, he microwaved everything but my hubby’s meat. $ 56 for microwaved food. Plus the tip $ 8.40 they included it was a total of $ 68.80. Not worth going here, pricey tasteless food, strange looks from the two guy workers, hard to get attention of the only two waitress’s working.

Love this place but the management is super terrible. If they don’t run out of certain menu items they’re closing well before published hours ;( –loyal customer that thinks you need a wake up call.

Food was a dissapointment. Extra salty guacamole, bland burrito, and the special fish tacos al pastor were all but special and pastor sauce was just awful. Service was of no help, didn’t even care when plates arrived, nor offered a reasonable option when I didn’t even touch my food. Also. burrito with sauce and cheese on top? Burritos are supposed to be eaten with your hands, not with fork and knife. I was at least expecting some kinda discount since we didn’t eat most of the stuff. but I’m sure that’s too much to ask for. Save yourself the time and avoid eating there. Nothing Mexican about this place.

So this isn’t the establishment that you go to for high-end food. This is your local neighborhood joint with good deals, big portions, and decent food. My husband and I like to go here for happy hour 5−8pm for their 1 $ tacos with purchase of $ 7 margarita. They are pretty small tacos, they do upcharge you for adding cheese, but we do like the chicken, and the chorizo as well as the pastor. Flautas are okay, not that well– seasoned. They have some decent hot sauces. Margarita are not that strong, on sweeter side but huge. Basically if you don’t care about your calories, and want a casual cheap tipsy fix with decent food, it’s an okay spot to go.

Everything you could want from a no-frills mexican joint. Delicious and fresh, friendly service, AND they’re open late night?! It’s happiness in a soft corn tortilla!

Let me tell you this Mexican restaurant is a hidden gem! Delicious! Can’t tell you how often I crave Lupita but since it’s not near my house I don’t visit it often enough! I had the 4 tacos with rice and beans! Fire! And also ordered the fountain of cheese with chorizo! To die for! Must check it out, very inexpensive and quick for after your late night outings.

After a bike ride we Unilocaled Mexican and this was the closest. It deserves more than the three star rating! It’s nothing fancy but serves great food. Theft have about 6 tables outside and a very large inside. We sat inside and trusted the outside tables to guard our bikes since all tables were full. We asked for chips and salsa… you get a choice of red or green salsa. We chose red. It looks like a thick creamy tomato soup. we mixed the squirt bottle salsas in with it for a great spicy salsa. Chips could be better. Chips and salsa were free. My friend ordered three different tacos. $ 2 each and $.50 for cheese/taco. He said they were great. No lettuce or tomato on them because they are authentic. They use cojita cheese on everything! My other friend had chicken verde enchiladas with rice and beans. She enjoyed also. Service was quick. I saw margaritas on other tables that looked yummy. I will definitely return again.

Gotta love the Happy Hour at this place. Through 8:00pm, you get five-dollar margaritas(check that: STRONG five-dollar margaritas) and one-dollar tacos. The tacos, while small, are packed with your choice of filling(anything from steak to beef to cochinito pibil, of which I had four because they were so freaking tasty and because, well… they were only one freaking dollar each). Aside from the environment they’ve created by pushing cheap food and drinks, it kind of feels like the happy hour«rules» are the only real rules La Lupita has in place. At some point in our evening, one of the people in our party pulled out a bottle of Mezcal, for which our serve was happy to provide shot glasses. La Lupita!

I don’t know how long this place has been here, but I cannot believe it has taken me this long to realize it was there! My mother and I were on our way to El Vato for a Saturday lunch before work when we spotted this gem. Might as well try it right?! All the servers were very nice and attentive. We ordered some marge to start and queso with mushrooms. The queso was delicious, but they only give you 5 small corn tortillas and charge you for extra… boo. They put 3 sauces on the table. 1 really spicy one, a brown one, and one other. The brown one is delicious. I don’t know what is in it, but it has amazing flavor. I put it on everything. Mom had a regular marg and I had a frozen strawberry one. The regular marge are DEFINITELYBETTER. My strawberry frozen margarita was bland and very watery. It didn’t really tastes like strawberries or tequila. wahhh For my meal I ordered the La Lupita Burrito! Delicious – however it comes with red and green sauce on it. I would steer clear of the red sauce, it tastes eerily familiar to ketchup. The green sauce on the other hand was to die for!!! and the burrito was HUGE! and very yummy! Mom had tacos, I believe, but I didn’t try them. She said they were good though. Another boo is the fact that they don’t give you chips and salsa. If you ask for some, they charge you… boo As we were sitting there, we read a sign about their happy hour. We immediately made plans to come back! Margaritas are $ 5 during happy hour if you order $ 1 tacos!!! The marge are normally $ 10! We came back about a week later and divulged into many marge and many tacos! For my tacos I ordered the carnitas which were delicious!!! So good. I did ask for sour cream, however, but it tasted and looked like mayo, very strange. The location is a little strange, and if you sit outside it is right next to a parking garage, but hey, everything can’t be perfect right? This probably would have been 4 stars if it weren’t for everything they charge extra for. The prices are a little steep on margaritas and some of the main dishes – but Brickell… We will definitely be back!

So thankful I finally made it over to this place. We were planning on going to El Vato, when I saw this place and thought let’s give it a try. Yes, I am a fan. I think I could eat here daily as much as I love Mexican food and this place is authentic. After two visits I really like their food and margarita’s. First time we popped in for lunch. We sampled the queso dip with mushrooms and they give you small tortilla’s that are homemade and delicious. We really enjoyed the queso. I tried the steak tacos with onions and cilantro which I loved. The steak had great flavor, excellent small tortilla’s. It came with rice and beans, the beans were good but I did not care for the rice at all. They have happy hour Monday thru Friday from 3−8pm. We met before an event the other night and you can’t beat their happy hour. As long as you drink you get any of their taco’s for $ 1 and all of their drinks are $ 5. They have inside and outside dining and both times we chose to sit outside. We had the same very friendly waitress who was great. Good guacamole as well. We also had some awesome friends join us so the company was fabulous! George, Jenny, Nate & Nicole. Now I prefer them over El Vato, IMO better food, much better Margaritas and service. I do think their drink prices are a bit high during non happy hour so pop over for happy hour and you will be impressed. See you soon!
