Karmen Bakery & Cafetria

A great place to stop for either a quick snack like a café con leche and an empanadas or a big order of dozens of croquetas and a birthday cake. There’s a wide variety of pastires and savory snacks to choose from. A long table lining the shop’s front window with about 5 stools is the dine-​in area. So if its just a few of you, stay, relax, and have a cup of coffee. If its a group of you, take the coffee to go!

Yummy Cuban pastries. My favorite was the chicken croquette… sooo good & flavorful. The café con leche was also good. Friendly & pleasant staff. Nice spot to go to for breakfast or a quick snack!

This is the real Karmen Bakery — the other one listed on Unilocal is really Yisell Bakery (she bought it from Karmen two years ago).
In any event, between the two, this is far better in pastries — less flaky, larger and they make fresh batches if you ask them to without any issue. I bought from both of them and sampled the beef pastelitos from both — Karmen wins — the pastry has more meat and as I stated earlier — less flakes. I wanted to make sure I brought the best one to a shin dig I was going to – even though I didn’t bake either, I feel a sense of responsibility to bring delicious contributions.
The prices are reasonable as well — and they prepare for large events if you order in advance.

Bakery and cafeteria, panes, sandwiches, cakes, pastry items. Clean little bakery with some great items to choose from. The service is much friendlier than there other location.
Driving home we had a slight sweet tooth, so we decided to stop and get some pastry’s and other sweet little desserts. To our desire they kindly delivered. Prices are so reasonable. We spent eleven dollars on a big box of a variety of desserts and pastry’s. All were very good. We picked a few things that I do not even know the name of, but did not care it hit the sweet spot delightfully.
Cool place with some good baked goods.
