I had a great stay here on business! Two nights although my flight to Miami got delayed and I arrived extremely late the first night.
The views are incredible and you can see the city of Miami in all its palm tree glory during the day and its bright lights at night.
I got the a whole suite to myself which included two bathrooms, a balcony view, two HUGE TVs, and a master suite style bathroom. The bed was very comfortable!
Room service was prompt when I ordered a burger fairly late at night.

I didn’t stay here but attended a conference at this location. The rooms were well kept, although the IT department seemed more annoyed than helpful when issues arose during presentations. The staff was very professional otherwise and they set up quite a spread for breakfast, lunch and snacks in between!

Stayed at the Marriott for a bachelorette party during Art Basel.
Positives:
— Extremely friendly and prompt service in the restaurant on the second floor. Good options for breakfast.
— Large gym facility with spa water and not crowded at any time I visited. Nice view of the pool from the treadmills.
— Starbucks and several good restaurants within walking distance.
Less Positive:
— Décor is a bit tired

My boyfriend and were getting away for a short trip to celebrate. The hotel was fine and all — standard fare for Marriott. What was most notable was the 5 star service. Anesha was fantastic and really impressed my boyfriend. There was candy and a sweet note of congratulations from her after our night out. Kudos to Anesha!

Buyer beware. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. I’d barely give it a 3. Lots of construction around this place with the noise going on until 10:30pm. How can you relax with constant construction noise? You can’t! This hotel is is serious need of renovation as well. I’m ripped off due to this being a PRICELINE purchase. Never again.

Went back again still everything was closed on the weekend? Room was good and this time my battery was in the keys. hotel is nice I just really wish they would put more excitement in it. Good coffee service. The plus is that it is close to everything.

Stay here if you must. The staff is friendly professional and needs more training knowledge of their facilities. I asked two people for the excutive lounge and both sent me to 2nd floor. Front desk finally sent me to 21st.
The hotel clearly was or has been a high end. Now it is a migration of a classic trying to keep up. Nice flat screen size. Bathroom as been remodeled it is clean but other hotels in 5 star category are crushing JW Marriott Brickell. And they know it as the Marquis down the road us top notch. Bed was comfortable almost identical to a courtyard so nothing major there. Room overall was ok nicely stocked mini bar in room.
Their in hotel bar was ok. No beer on draft though but good choices for drinks. And barman was knowledgeable and friendly. Front desk very professional and knowledgeable.
Pool it is a regular pool and the bar remained closed. No waiter ever in the pool area. So this pool might as well been for the less pricey courtyard or Hyatt down the street.
Very nice and complete gym. Spa has treatments and dry sauna only. No jacuzzi, cold splash or steam room. So nothing major there. There is an LA fitness two blocks away that has all your fitness needs.
Overall I was underwhelmed with this 5 star JW Marriott. The only 5 star clearly are prices. Everything else is 4 and most 3 stars like a new courtyard or garden inn w half the price.

Stayed at this property for a business conference for 10 days.
Pros:
1. The hotel is conveniently located to nice restaurants and shopping.
2. Onsite dining
3. Great breakfast in the concierge lounge. (Actually better than the breakfast we had downstairs)
Cons:
1. The women’s restrooms at the meeting room level were appalling. A few stalls were out of order (for 10 days) and the smell was unbearable. We complained several times to no avail and resorted to going back to our rooms every time we needed a restroom break. I’m not pleased with that.
3. A man walked into my room a little before 6:00AM one morning. I was still half asleep and in bed. I thought I heard movement in my room and sure enough when I sat up in bed I was face to face with a stranger in my room in the dark. As soon as he saw me, he exclaimed and ran out of the room. I quickly got up ran to the door put the chain up (which I could have sworn I had up. Later found out that is was damaged) and called the front desk. The lady at the front desk casually said «Oh, he went to the wrong room». No apology, nothing, just that. I was incredibly upset about this whole experience. Shortly after I hear a knock on my door. As you may have guessed it was the «accidental» intruder. I asked him what he wanted through the closed door and he said he wanted to apologize. I asked him to leave and never return to my room for the duration of my stay. After breakfast that morning I went downstairs to the front desk to see if I would get some sort of explanation. Before I could even finish talking the lady rudely interrupted me by saying that Marriott offered me bonus points and I should check my account. Really… A man is creeping around the bedroom of a female guest in the dark at 6:00 AM at the JW Marriott and their response is take the rewards points and move on? This is truly incredible. I requested a customer sat. survey and I’m still waiting to receive it.

Very nice hotel. 15 minutes walk from downtown MiamI. 20 minutes to South Beach. The hotel was very nice. Room was very comfortable.
I wish I could see the ocean though. I could only see a little crack of it. I don’t think any of the rooms in this hotel can see it. There are buildings and constructions right in front of me.
Just one terrifying thing happened to my group was that some other guest from the hotel requested to have our pulled out one morning. When we ask for our car, the valet said our car was already gone! Absolutely terrifying before we saw our car around the corner waiting to be picked up. How could anyone just request a car from another room?! Someone needs to fix that!

I’ve stayed in the vice presidential suite (concierge level access as well) of this hotel several times and it’s never disappointed. Even when we’ve stayed in their regular suites, everything has been absolutely perfect. Their pool is awesome, and the metal bottom makes it even better because you don’t damage your painted toe nails ;)

I wish I had written this review earlier so that I could specifically recognize the individuals at this hotel by name. What I will say is that from check in to check out, the service here was OUTSTANDING. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The staff made my mother and I feel very comfortable and welcomed.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was well decorated and large. The TV in the mirror was an excellent touch.
The lobby was immaculate. The gym had new, well-​kept equipment, towels and free water bottles. The cardio equipment has individual TVs. Having spare headphones is an excellent touch.

Stayed two nights here and as others have mentioned the only comparing is the valet parking fee. $ 36/​day is ridiculous. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and responsive, and the rooms are nice although the carpets are showing some wear. Pool and gym are great and the location is perfect. Walk to Mary Brickell or take the trolley to Vizcaya or Bayfront park.

This is the first complaint I have ever sent about a Marriott property. As a Rewards member, I always try to stay at Marriott properties when I am out of town, even if it is out of my way. In the past, my stays have always been pleasant, but this one was by far the worst and is making me question my loyalty to Marriott. We were on vacation for this stay (I usually travel for business) and I was looking forward to the quality I have come to expect from Marriott to relax, but found myself stressed and disgusted by for the following reasons:
1. Upon walking into the room, it smelled as though someone had left damp towels in there for weeks. We tried our best to open the windows to air it out to no avail. When we asked the front desk to rectify the situation by switching our room, we were told there was nothing else available, but they would send up housekeeping. Housekeeping had no solutions for us as they did not have room/​air freshener spray.
2. Our ice bucket was not only missing its lid, but had a dead bug in it… Lovely.
3. Our mini bar looked as though it had been ransacked even though we had just walked in. Most of the items were missing and we requested it to be refilled, but it felt as though the room had been used and not cleaned.
4. Our TV remote was broken and we had to turn on the TV manually. The front desk sent up a new remote to solve the issue.
5. When we turned on the TV manually, we noticed it was covered in a layer of dust, which only further made us question the cleanliness of the room.
6. We paid for the room based on rewards points and spent the extra points to book on the concierge level where the food was not the normal quality I have come to expect from the concierge lounge. Most of it was inedible.
I was contacted several times to fill out the post-​stay survey and then thanking me for doing so by David Heitner. I even wrote him a personal email and never heard back. So much for customer service!

Rooms could use a little updating but it’s still a very nice property conveniently located in the Brickell area. You’ll be walking distance to everything, including great restaurants/​bars. It’s a nice reprieve from certain parts of SoBe, a little more grown up & a lot less touristy.
Only thing that’s kind of annoying/​inconvenient about most Miami hotels are the valet fees. JW is $ 30 per night.

For the money I would expect more friendly and polite staff, and better food. The $ 20 breakfast dishes took over half an hour to arrive, and were cold and rubbery.

I really took advantage of my recent two night concierge club stay at the hotel by using the pool, club freebies, eating on site and hanging in my cozy pad (with balcony).
This hotel is best suited for business travelers. My favorite part was the pool because for 1) it was almost empty and 2) it had a good amount of lounge chairs in the sun. I also want to point out that the pool floor felt like walking on sleek glass. Classy! It was a great stress release at their pool.
The club access was on point and the small bites were good. Best meal was the breakfast. I also hung out after check out since I had a late flight. No one bothered me, just hung out and finished up some work before my flight. Good deal.
My room’s bed, balcony and bathroom were other favorites at this hotel. Valet was good but a little late during one call ahead.

I came to the JW 2 nights for a wedding in October. The hotel itself is elegant yet well kept and modern. The ambiance is lavish. The rooms themselves were small but enough space for me, with generously sized bathrooms. I loved the beds (super comfy) and they provide robes but no slippers.
The service was definitely notable at the hotel. This hotel is designed to cater to its clients. They will gladly answer to any request and will insist on carrying your bags, holding the door, all the small things that are often missed.
A few other details: The pool is small and often in the shade due to surrounding buildings. You cannot walk to the beach from here. The spa is small and meager and shares a space with the gym. The gym is up to date with ellipticals, treadmills, free weights, headphones, individual TVs, etc. It is one of the best hotel gyms I have been to!
I absolutely loved this JW and will be back if I am in the area!
