Gusman Center For the Performing Arts

The Gusman Center inside the Olympia Theater is a gorgeous venue with an old Miami feel. The decorative style is ornate, with unique decorations on the ceiling and lamp posts. I recommend arriving for your show early, so you may stroll through the lobby and restrooms with an observant eye.
Parking can be difficult as the theater is downtown, although they do offer valet.
We purchased our tickets online and received an email confirmation which stated in big bold red letters: YOU MUST PRINT YOUR TICKETS TO OBTAIN ENTRY INTO THE VENUE!!! WE CANNOT SCAN YOUR CELL PHONE! This is ridiculous, and also turned out to be untrue. When we arrived, staff was scanning cell phones and failed to advise us of that fact. A minor annoyance; yet I would advise management to be honest with their patrons.
The venue is small enough to still feel intimate and large enough to welcome a good crowd. Staff are overall friendly. They offer a full bar including liquor, wine, and beer. There are sodas and light snacks like popcorn for sale. They accept credit cards.
Bottom Line: beautiful venue for performances in Miami.
