William Y.

Business Owner

Dr. William Yu was born in Miami, FL and raised in Puerto Rico where he learned Spanish and English. He got his BS at the University of Florida in 1996 and his Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University.

His clinical rotations at NSU included; ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and low vision. He was the recipient of the Primary Care Clinician Award during his third and fourth year of school. He was the Student Government President and graduated with highest honors.

Dr. Yu is currently licensed to practice optometry in Florida. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. His hobbies include sports and spending time with his wife and two daughters

I’ve been going to the Einhorn Eyecare Center for years and it’s always a great experience. I’m always seen right away at my appointment time, I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. Dr. Yu is great, very nice and makes the patient feel comfortable right away. The staff is also very helpful and courteous, I’ve never felt like i was being pushed by them into buying anything or extra tests. I’ve recommended this center in the past and continue to do so.

I love Dr. Yuh & the stuff. First off, this Dr. Explains everything from his medical experience to you as a patient so you can clearly understand it. I love how he try out different lenses to you find what feels right for you and comfortable.

I have been a patient of Einhorn Eyecare Center for over 20 years and will certainly continue in the future. Both Dr. Einhorn and Dr. Yu conduct their exams with state of the art equipment using care, concern, and patience. This is very important to me especially since I was in a profession where my life literally depended on great eyesight. The office manager, Debra Laing, is in a word a SWEETHEART. She always makes me and my family feel like, well, family! She is always quick with a laugh and best of all, knows just how to cut through all the insurance b.s. to make sure you get the most for your insurance dollar. Debra, as well as frame specialist Marlene are equally adept at assisting the client with a HUGE selection of up to date and fashionable frames. They are very patient and will let you try on as many pair as you wish. If you can’t find something that you like, they will be sure to find it for you and order it. I have received many compliments on the pair of Ray-​Ban tortoise shell frames Debra recently helped me select. This is one business where I actually have fun and look forward to my next appointment. I heartily recommend this office to anyone looking for the best in professional eyecare.

I have been coming here for years now and have yet to be disappointed.
There’s a big selection of eyewear and sunglasses. They don’t push you into getting them if you don’t want to, which is great.
I have been to both Dr. Einhorn and Dr. Yu and they are both great. They both make sure you’re getting the correct vision for both glasses and contact lenses.
With appointments, it’s easy and they send you a text message to confirm your appointment.
It is a little far from my house but it’s worth it because I’m going to great doctors.

This was my first visit to Einhorn Eyecare Center. As I entered I could see the large area dedicated to retail with a huge selections of frames. I was worried, oh boy I am going to not get an eye exam but I am about to get a high pressure sales pitch.
Boy was I wrong, Dr. Einhorn was great with no sale pressure at all to buy glasses. This is very appreciated in today’s world where everywhere you go someone is trying to upsell you on something.
The staff is great and they have great hours! Einhorn Eyecare Center now as a customer for life!

Great service, great people! We had three appointments with Dr. Yu for me and my two daughters. There were people already in the waiting area, but we were only waiting for a short period of time. We had a great visit with Dr. Yu who is very professional, but also extremely personable. We get our glasses online, so all we needed were the prescriptions but the office staff was more than helpful and pleasant. I have been to many eye doctors, but I will not go anywhere else now. I highly recommend Einhorn Eyecare Center.

I was extremely happy with my appointment. I arrived early and was seen right away. I saw Dr. Yu who was not only professional but very friendly, taking the time to get to know me and chatting with me like there was no rush to move me along and get me out the door. Once I got to selecting my frames, I was assisted by Alex, who was also very friendly and helpful. I didn’t feel any sales pressure, which is rare these days! He explained everything to me and while I wasn’t able to purchase on the day, I will be going back to purchase the frames he hoped me pick out. If I had to find one negative I’d say that when I first arrived, while filling out my forms, some (and I should note only some) of the reception staff were discussing their personal lives, dating etc. which I really didn’t need or want to hear. That said I have definitely found my eye doctor so I will be back and would recommend this office to anyone in the area.

Einhorn Eyecare Center Excellent service and a knowledgeable staff. I recent lost two contacts in two weeks and call the office and they were replaced at no cost! Just had our annual exams and Dr. Yu was through and explained the test result in layman’s terms. Highly recommend this practice we are long time patients, due to the caring and friendliness of the entire staff.

I wish all medical staff I made appointments with were as friendly and professional as the staff at Einhorn Eyecare Center. The wait time was… what? Did I write wait time? There was no wait time! I arrived a few minutes early and got into my appointment as scheduled. Dr. Yu took his time and explained things thoroughly, as well as the staff, when I selected my frames. I did have to return for an adjustment and met Pete, who treated me as though I was a VIP and expedited the process for me. I highly recommend Einhorn Eyecare Center for your next vision exam!
