It doesn’t matter how big or small or what kind of event it is we can make it extra special. Our staff is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Our food is prepared on site by one of our chefs, this is perfect to entertain your guest as they watch a chef creating a delicious Paella right in front of their eyes. Our Paellas are famous in Miami and throughout all of South Florida, chances are if you ask a neighbor or someone at work they have been to one of our parties and loved it or at least have heard of us and how amazingly good our food and service is.

History

Established in 2003.

Don Paella Catering is a family owned and operated business that was started by chef Youry Tundidor that with a passion for making great food affordable in 2003 started delivering delicious meals to corporate events and pharmaceutical reps meetings. Didn’t take long for him to grow the clientele and in 2005 he got the idea of making Paellas at the event. It was an immediate success, after one year the amount of business had doubled and now is very well known in Miami and South FL as the most delicious Paella in the area. We have many great online reviews of hundreds of happy customers for whom we have made their event truly memorable. Our success is due to the fact that our staff, chefs, cooks, servers, waiters, bartenders etc love and enjoy what they do and we only use the freshest and highest quality ingredients available.

Excellent team work. A Chef and an assistant came at the established time. They brough dinner rolls and assembled a tasty & fruity green salad. T and plenty of maduros. They both served the meal.
The paella came still hot, on two very large paella pots covered by foil paper. One was a seafood paella and the other, a meat paella. The seafood paella had plenty of shrimp, scallops, calamary, oysters, etc.
The meat one, chorizo, chicken breast, pork chunks.
Great presentation!
Better was the seasoning and taste of both (I tasted a little of each). There was very little left over. It was a success!
This was a Christmas gift to customers.

We contacted this company months in advance for an event in Miami. It was difficult to get anyone to answer emails, but finally we had a guy name Youry on the phone who couldn’t find any emails; he started working out a detailed quote over the phone with us. We received the quote, and in less than a week we approved his work and sent it back in order to sign the contract and make sure he will be helping us for the event.
Youry Tundidor, who is actually not a simple guy but the chef and owner of DON PAELLA, has represented himself so poorly and unprofessionally. He has received emails without responding. We proceeded to call him many times and leave messages, and the three times we got him on the phone setting up appointments he promised to call back and left us waiting. We have a three hour difference with Miami; here in Seattle we were calling him and he never answered the phone. His employee Armando also received our phone calls and felt so helpless.
It is May 20th today and we were counting on this company to provide the food, full rental service, and the entertainment. .. now we only have a month to find a catering company.

Don paella catered my mom’s birthday party for 40 people and everything came out perfect. The paella valenciana was so delicious! Every single person raved and enjoyed the paella. I spent $ 512. It came with tostones, salad & bread. The salad was nothing special just greens, which is why i deducted one star. I will definitely use them again. Don’t think twice about hiring this company. Thank you Don Paella!!!

We had a great experience using Don Paella to cater my son’s birthday party. We ordered a Paella Valencia for 40 people starting at 12 noon with food service at 1PM. For about $ 11 a person, the food, chef and an additional server were included. A lot of the other paella caterers I called were charging the same price for just the food with a chef being another $ 200 with no servers. We supplied the plates and silverware.
I was initially worried that these guys would be at the party on time, but unbelievably they showed up EARLY. It was almost too early being 1 hour and 15 minutes before the start time. Hey whatever better early than late. Both chef and server changed into uniforms and set up a pretty professional catering station next to their large paella pan. These guys came with their own fuel and a cooler with the food. At 12 they started cooking.
The food was ready at 1PM as promised and it was AWESOME. The paella was piping hot and absolutely stocked with shrimp, clams, calamari, sausage and chicken. I’m getting hungry thinking about it. The food was enough for 50 people! The chef and server stayed until 3 and then put the paella in serving platters for us before leaving.
My only warning would be that neither the chef or server spoke a lick of English. Luckily my ass can speak Spanish…
The entire night we had constant comments about how great the food was. For this price you definitely cannot beat it. They also provide Parillada catering, lechons, and BBQs as well. We will definitely use these guys again in the future.

Had Don paella cater a small birthday party (20 people) a months ago, I was eager to cater paella again since I had a wonderful experience in another occasion involving around 50 people, my error was to think these were the same company as the one used on prior engagement. Anyways, the paella was way too salty, over seasoned, and oily, when the cook asked my husband how he liked it and he let him know he felt it was too salty the cook let him know that everyone has different tastes for saltiness and there’s nothing to be done about that, which is true, and all well if he hadn’t really made it so salty! His error I felt might have been adding salt plus the juice of the olives, and I guess more salt, and all the other seasoning and BOY was it oily!!. When he asked me how I felt about it, being my birthday and in no mood to ruin the night I simply answered with it was ok, which I don’t think he liked hearing based on his expression. Anyways I know none of my guests felt it was good they ALL (being close friends/​family) complained it was too seasoned and some even said it was hard to swallow, others didn’t even eat it. Anyways there was about 3 large containers of food leftover everyone kept giving me recommendations on how to fix it, adding more rice, hot sauce, and what not. Needless to say it was bad, this was in March and I still have people bringing up how bad it was and its June! All in all I guess it’s really a hit or miss with these guys and the cook you get. Excellent service and food. I had the Paella Real for my 5oth birtheday party celebration and was extremely pleased w/​everything. … from the food, to the presentation, to the personal service prior to and during the event. Would recommend them and use them again certainly. I had 2 appetizers only the coconut shrimp and the tostones rellenos de carne. The paella came out nice and sweet, not fishy at all. Guests really liked it.

Don Paella provided every aspect of our event: tables, chairs, dinnerware, bartending service and, of course, the food. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. All guests raved about the quality of the food, but I expected that based on the reputation they have here in Miami. Youry (the owner, I believe) is a pleasure to deal with over the phone and via email. He follows-​up after the event too. I strongly recommend them and I will use them again.

Don Paella provides wonderful catering services. They offer various types of paella that make at any sort of venue because they have the coolest custom cooking vessels that can get set up anywhere. And because everything is cooked in front of the guests, the paellas are real crowd pleasers!
I’ve had their seafood and pork/​chicken «campesino» paella, plus a bunch of their homemade appetizers, like their scrumptious lobster empanadas. The paellas come absolutely loaded with all kinds of ingredients and everything is served with a yummy salad topped with a raspberry vinaigrette and fresh bread.
