Dog Dude Ranch of Miami

My 4 year old Catahoula Leopard/​Aussie Shep mix «Hershey» — active rescue dog — LOVES coming here; we call it paradise camp for doggies. He always comes home happy and tired — never wants to leave the ranch. Service is always helpful — the place is clean and all the animals are treated like family. We have our family pet stay here at least 2 – 3 times a year when we travel. We should also leave him for playdates and plan to do to over the summer. Thanks Dog Dude Ranch!

Another great stay at the ranch! We went away on a week long cruise and left our 2 pups at the ranch. It’s great knowing that our two pups will be taken care of properly. Again, they came back pooped and happy.
They no longer offer a pick up and delivery service, but they directed us to «Julio» who they recommend for the transport. Julio was great. He was professional, prompt, very communicative letting us know when he would arrive, when he dropped the dogs off, when he would pick them up, and when he would drop them off. Great service. I think his business is called, «Animabulance». If you need a pick up and transport of your pooch as the ranch for Julio’s number.

I have been taking my Beagle to Dog Dude Ranch now for almost a year. He absolutely LOVES it. The facility Is fantastic and very clean. I was out of town and the nurse called me to tell me that my beagle had strained his leg and that they had taken him to their vet and had him checked out and X-​rayed. He had to war a bandage for a couple of days but they made sure to keep him safe while still enjoying himself. I truly can’t thank the considerate staff enough for the care he has received and for my peace of mind when I have to leave him. I highly recommend Dog Dude Ranch!

What an amazing place and what an amazing person Priscilla is. My daughter was moving to Italy for 6 months and did not feel her older pup could handle the journey. 6 months turned into three and a half years. Priscilla has continued to care for dear Chloe as if she was her own. Daily medications, trips to the vet, and all the love you could imagine. We could not have asked for a more loving and professional place. We miss Chloe dearly, but know she is getting everything she needs and more.
As far as the charges go, Priscilla stopped charging us after a while. We just paid for medications and vet bills. Unbelievable to find someone who truly cares.
If you are considering boarding you beloved dog, you could not find a better place.

I have been bringing both my dogs to DDR since they were puppies. About two years now! It’s an amazing place. It’s been perfect given my work schedule and the staff has always welcomed my dogs with open arms and treated them like their own. I don’t know what I would do without Dog Dude Ranch. The facilities are very well kept and the location is so conveniently located. It’s a great way for my dogs to socialize and release all that energy! I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a puppy paradise.

Extremely poor customer service, dog came home with food aggression and fearful of other dogs.
Update 12÷31÷15: let’s get the real reason for the late payment… That is because of lack of business skills from the facility who messed up the payment. Further more I contacted the ranch a total of 3 times to pay and was unable to. I have since been harassed via email and phone calls because of my review. Note my dog did not stay again due to his new anxiety and nothing to do with the payment as it was only brought to my attention a few days before xmass.
Leave your dog at this facility and I am sure you will be leaving similar reviews. Our furbabbies deserve the best possible care. Not a unprofessional, money driven, hurtful person.

Dont leave your dog here. We boarded or dog once for a night, everything seemed ok so we took her again when we had a trip. Our second stay was 2 nights, after we picked her up our dog was scared and would snap if you tried to touch her at times (she never did that before). This lasted for about a week, they certainly mistreated her. A few times upon arrival we noticed the workers yelling all the time and when we complained/​asked they said «ooh they dont yell at the dogs … They are yelling at each other».
The last gift doggie ranch gave us. Our dog developed an irritation in her ear, got it checked at the vet and it was a fungus she got while there. Don’t take your dog here!

We used this place for our dog Sam while we were visiting the Miami area. They were wonderful!
Setting up the stay from out of state was a breeze. The facility was well cared for.
When we picked our dog up he was happy and looked like he’d been running and tumbling. We are glad he got activity and interaction while he was there.
Only wish they had one of these in Houston…

Wouldn’t trust my fur baby with anyone else! Dog dude ranch is a blast for my dog and I know he’s in great hands whenever I need to leave him behind. They have tons of room for them to run around and play all day, no cages! The prices are great, and they have always been able to get my dog in whenever I need to make reservations. My pup is always exhausted for 24 hours when he gets home, and smells great after their exiting bath!

We adopted a lab mix rescue puppy last year and he is a big ball of energy… we joke that he is a clone of Marley from «Marley and Me.» The first time we had to board him for a quick trip, we took him to the vet and it didn’t go well. The vet called 5 minutes after we dropped him off and I could hear him barking like crazy in the background. We almost cancelled our trip, but they called back a little later and said that he had calmed down a bit. However, I worried about him the whole time we were gone, so that definitely put a damper on our getaway. When we picked him up two days later, his snout was raw from pushing up against the crate door, so I knew that we could never do that to him again and I began searching for an alternative. When we visited the Dog Dude Ranch, I knew that it was the perfect place for Jake, as he loves to run and play as he lots of energy to burn. After his first stay there, which was only for a short trip, he was depressed for a couple of days upon returning home. We were concerned, as we didn’t want this to happen every time we go away. However, in retrospect, I think he may have thought we were abandoning him since he was a rescue pup. We decided to give it another try and recently took him back again for a 5 day stay and he did great! In fact, he became super excited in the car when we pulled up and eagerly went off with a staff member without hesitation! Thankfully, he was his typical crazy, happy self as soon as we got him home.
We will definitely continue to take them there when the need arises, as he is happy and well cared for which means that we can relax and enjoy ourselves as well.
One additional note: although the staff is very friendly and attentive, they are very busy taking care of all of the dogs, so they don’t always answer the phone or respond immediately to emails. You may need to keep that in mind when trying to make last minute arrangements.

My puppy is my world! He’s the most loving, kindest lil guy around. He’s also 80 pounds. I had to go out of town very suddenly and looked online to find a big-​dog friendly boarding. My vet has a boarding facility, but I want go know someone is with my dog at all times. Not 9 – 5 Monday-​Saturday. I stumbled upon DDR. It looked great! I called to see if I could schedule a meet-​and-​greet since they have to meet your dog first. I did have to call 3 times (in a row.) I was in a little hurry and didn’t want to leave a voicemail. They did pick up and told me to come on over.
The location is easy to find and they have lots of room. They have roaming chickens and horses. Don’t worry they aren’t in the doggy play areas. I let Cooper off his leash while I talked to the «Wrangler» and he was having so much fun just sniffing around.
the rooms are 12 feet by 12 feet, conditioned by industrial fans. The dogs wake up around 7 – 7:30 and are out playing after breakfast. They play for a couple hours and then go back to their rooms and settle for nap time. While your dog is playing, the Wranglers watch to see who are his friends and that’s how they determine roommates. After nap time, it’s lunch time and then the Dogs are out playing again. They get around 5 hours of free-​range play time. They even have big sprinklers for the dogs when it’s a hot day!
I was sold. it’s inexpensive, $ 40 per 24 hours of your dog being there. We might do day care there soon since he’s so happy! They also offer pick up/​drop off at an additional fee. When I got my dog back from my weekend away, he actually seemed more upset that he was leaving than he was happy to see me! But it’s a good thing. At least I know he’s happy there and always welcomed. Cooper and I will definitely be back whenever I have to go away again.

I thought this was a great option for my dog while I was away, but if you can find anywhere else to go… Do so! My dog stayed there for almost 10 days, when I picked him up 2 things were different. First, my dog has become more aggressive, which he never was, now he has become more dominating when around other dogs. Second, and more importantly, he came back with a severe infection! I don’t know what happened while he was there, but now he gets bumps all over his body where the hair comes off his skin, and he even bleeds a lot from the bumps. The vet costs and medication costs are obviously outrages. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and highly suggest you look for other alternatives!!!

Our American Bulldog LOVES going to the Dude Ranch. He’s full of energy and enjoys running with the other dogs there. The staff is excellent and takes great care of each dog. They are flexible, communicative and caring.

I absolutely love this place! My boxer is full of energy and days I know I’ll be working 9+ hours without being home to let him out, I bring him here. Before I found Dog Dude Ranch, I tried another doggie day care that was a small indoor place. Well, I guess my boxer was too much and he got his little booty kicked out. The staff here is very friendly, and the guys that are with the dogs definitely know what they’re doing. I always get my baby a bath at the end of the day as he always likes to get messy.
I also wanted to point out a small incident my dog had where he got in a small fight with another dog (he’s deaf and can be spooked easily). My dog bit the other dog (not that bad) and the ranch had their vet take a look at the other dog right away and put him on antibiotics. I of course offered to pay but they said they covered it, which I think was very generous.
I’ll continue bringing back Caspar as long as he’s invited :) he has the best time and sleeps the rest of the next day. What more could you ask for?!

Our dog loved this place! Great place to bring your dog if you want them to have some fun while you’re gone!
The place has lots of open space where the dogs can roam and play throughout the day. They group the dogs by size and personality, and have «wranglers» watching them to make sure all the dogs play nice. Also, the whole meet and greet process is great; I felt so much better knowing our baby wouldn’t be around any aggressive or mean dogs.
The idea of cageless boarding is a little weird at first, but I think our dog enjoyed it more. They put the dogs in rooms in an open air barn with 1 – 3 other dogs. They even make sure to put dogs together that have become «friends» while playing during the day. This helps them not be lonely while their owners are gone.
Our dog had such a great time when she was there. We have boarded her at standard boarders before, but she was in such a better mood when she came home from Dog Dude Ranch. And she was sooooo tired after playing all weekend! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants their dog to have some fun while they’re out of town!

After $ 541 dollars later… Mediocure. Not really very happy.
My dog is my life and my best friend. After only a couple days there he busted a blood vessel and no one cares to take a look at him until I went bat shit crazy bc I was out of town and didn’t know if it was a cut eye injury. At this point the owner tells me that those papers I signed were made by her lawyer and I was responsible for payment. She also said that she wasn’t responsible if my pet got injured. Then why the hell do I pay you to watch him. Agg. I went crazy bc this is my baby my only child and to hear that is like someone robbing me and then me paying them.
Then I being him back because I am in a time bind and can’t find any other place to take my un neutered male. I get him back four days later with scabs all over his body!
Now I am looking for another place to take him too.
Don’t recommend this place unless unless likes to play way too rough and is not a big dog who is spoiled. I have a 65 lbs who is use to care not getting banged up and no one noticing or doing anything until it’s too late! The front desk ladies are the worst too bc they never
Overall point, make this place last worst case option. Did I mention their is a MILLION DOGS THERE AND PICTURES ON AD ARENT ACCURATE!

Love this place, and so does Beasley! I have a 30 lb beagle mix who turns into an old country dog when he’s at the Dude Ranch. The owner has always been able to accommodate and is involved in the business. This is a Gem in Miami and I don’t feel so bad leaving my puo when I travel anymore!

In search of a suitable and reputable place to leave my beloved spunky terrier called Peanut, I came across Dog Dude Ranch of Miami (DDR)
At DDR our furry family members romp around all day in the open spaces. They are separated by temperament and size. The living facilities are on the «open air», however, they are completely enclosed (have full protection from rain and sun). They have fans feels relatively cool as it is totally covered and shaded. Mist sprays are provided as well.
I love how there are no kennels. For those who have rescued a dog from a shelter, it is important to know your dog will not feel as though it is being abandoned again in a miserable place. A lot of boarding facilities feel depressing, but never at DDR. This is summer camp for dogs! This is a place where dogs go to play and be happy!
I was a bit concerned leaving my shih tzu here due to the breed being a brachycephalic one. With Miami being hot and humid for most of the year, they have a harder time keeping cool. Now, for my fun loving working class terrier mix, DDR is heaven sent.
The staff is really friendly and give you a tour of the facility on request between 11am-​2pm. The areas are kept so clean and the resident dogs are pure sugar. I had so much fun seeing this wonderful place, meeting the staff and resident dogs (all rescues, hooray!).

When it comes to overnight boarding for the dogs in my family, I’m quick to find those less-​than-​typical experiences. I’m not the kind of owner who’s ever been fond of the big room, lots of crates scenario, so I looked for a unique boarding facility where our 3 family dogs could play and sleep together like they would at home.
When I came across Dog Dude Ranch it sounded absolutely ideal. The ranch is out in Horse Country, so you can rest assured your pup has ample room to run and play. Pulling in to the facility and as your car kicks up the dust, you’ll quickly feel like you’ve been transported to some remote farm in Tennessee. Friendly horses to your right and just up a little further you’ll find the dog stable (formerly used to house horses). Pretty cool.
Now, if you’re the type of owner that likes to keep your pup clean, or if your canine prefers the indoor comforts to the great outdoors, I don’t believe this is the ideal boarding facility for you. Our 3 dogs got to sleep together in an enclosed and covered space, but their sleeping compartment was within the outdoor stable. To keep them cool, they got a large fan. Given the Miami heat, it was a little concerning but we went with it any way and figured, they’re animals, they can take it.
The prices are incredibly reasonable and the staff was absolutely lovely. I really don’t have anything negative to say about the experience (and I’m sure our dogs had a blast), but as an owner, I feel more comfortable knowing my dog’s getting to sleep at an indoor facility with air conditioning while getting the experience of playing outdoors. Aside from that, they were very sweet and welcoming.
