Danny Dillon Shampology

Shampology is one of those places driven past numerous times being just a block from my house and wish I had gone in sooner! Danny the owner was very kind along with the sweet young lady who did my blow dry. They were able to schedule me as a walk in and had me walk out looking fabulous for a wedding that afternoon. Another lady was two chairs down with Danny and clearly had been coming to see him for quite some time. I just love the natural hospitality, makes for a cozy place you want to keep going!
I can’t vouch for the service yet but they also do threading!

Love this place! Vincent is the bomb and he’s FAST! They take walk-​ins too. An hour ago I was calling everywhere because my hair was so overgrown and now I look fabulous and have some awesome new layers :) thank you!!!

I have been coming to this salon for over 4 years now and I have to say it doesnt get any better than this. The place is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Danny to everyone!

I have been coming to this salon for about 3 Or 4 years now and always have had a good experience.
I used to have another stylist but had been seeing Danny last few years.
He really is great. I’d say one of the best colorist in Miami and my hair grows very fast since he’s been my hairstylist .
The salon is on the DD and is a nice, cool and clean salon.
Danny also has a great team and everyone is nice. From facials to nails they have it all.
I always like my color and style when Danny does my hair and more importantly, he has a great positive attitude at all times and i love being around people like that.
He is very professional and prices are reasonable .
Keep up the good work!

I have been getting my hair cut here at Danny Dillon for over 10 years now. Danny and his staff are great and and you can so get a manicure or facial. Danny always keeps his appointments and after coming here so long you become part of the Danny Dillon network. Thanks for making me look great!

I’ve only had nail services here thus far, but they’re great! Super friendly staff make you feel welcome and the mani-​pedis are awesome! Free parking too!

Danny Dillon is a professional and one of the kindest in the industry. So why has he hired mean, bitchy stylists to work along side him? The whole time I was there for a keratin treatment I was lectured, belittled, and made to feel like I had perhaps done something to offend the stylist — and I’m nothing but polite and respectful to other people.
I almost walked out of there crying because the stylist just chose not the hear me when all I did was make a reasonable request so that I might walk out of the salon feeling good about my hair and myself. All I received were defensive, unfriendly, and rude remarks.
Thankfully Danny came to my rescue and spent a whopping 1 minute to hear me and do what I requested so that I would feel good enough to step outside in public.
People go to salons to feel good about themselves and when they are taking the step to do so, there is no reason to treat them so poorly and with such disregard. (You are a stylist, you are not curing cancer).
If you make an appointment, just be sure to specifically request Danny.

Staff was EXTREMELY rude!!! I couldn’t make it to one of the appointments I had made because I was having a surgery done and had paid for the service through groupon. When I called, the lady said I couldn’t make another appointment because I missed my original one. And when I asked «Well what about the money I paid?», I quote she said «You lost it!». She was so rude the entire time, I was completely dumbfounded.
Wish I could give negative stars!

This place gets one star because I could not give them zero. I had an appointment at 4:00pm for a keratin treatment. I arrived on time and was given some forms to complete. I then sat there for 45 minutes with no acknowledgement or explanation that they were running late. One of the stylists then finished with his client and then completely ignored me and started to chat with the other client (there were only 2 stylists there). At that time, the woman stylist told me it would be at least another 15 minutes, making my appointment over an hour late. I explained that I had a 6:30p appt, as they had explained the service would take 2 hours. Her response, well we are running late what do you want me to do. I finally left at 5:00pm as I could not wait any longer and there was no telling when they would get around to me. As I left, I told the male stylist who was still chitchatting with the other client that I had to leave and he said nothing.

I had seen the sign for Shampology as I passed it every day in the DD. When I saw the coupon they were offering for Keratin in Couptessa I figured it would be a great opportunity to try it out.
It was hard to get in for an appointment since I had gotten a few coupons so my daughters and I could have a ‘girls day out’. Getting appointments for three people within the same time frame can be hard. There are only two stylists and a couple assistants.
Unfortunately one of my daughters couldn’t do it at the time so my little one went for her Moroccan Oil treatment as I got my Keratin. I must say that the vibe and the energy from the get go was very positive, everyone was super nice. Again, great vibe, positive energy and smiles to go around.
I witnessed the transformation of one client who had the longest, thickest, wildest, coarsest hair into sleek long sexy hair and was supremely impressed. The stylist who did her hair took care of my daughter who was very sweet to her, kept on complimenting her and did a wonderful job. When a girl is 15 compliments are very nice.
Michelle and Danny took care of me. Both were wonderful and Danny gave me some great tips on thrifting in the area.
Overall it was a great experience and I am very happy with the treatment.

BUT
I’ve had great experiences with Danny. On my first visit, I felt like we were instant friends and that I had been coming to him for years. He knew exactly how to handle my thin hair and gave me an AWESOME cut. It even grew out well — no awkward period — I didn’t have to go back to have it shaped up for months and months. Danny is clearly more concerned about making his customers look good than making money by having them return every 6 weeks. At my last appointment, when I asked if he thought I needed color, he said no; again, he’s not out just to make a buck.
At $ 200 for cut and color, this is more than I’ve spent in the past on my hair, but it’s certainly not unreasonable, I only have to go 2 – 3 times a year, and, in any case, Danny is worth every penny!
