My initial reaction: poor man’s Burgers & Beer. If you can’t walk the extra ten minutes to B&B, you’ll still get a(relatively) decent sized patty on a branded brioche bun, with many of the standard trimmings you’d hope to order from B&B; but I’d be happier if they didn’t try to brand themselves so closely to their predecessor because it sets up some seriously false expectations. I’m also not wild about the adjoining night club(yes, you read that right … go ahead and check behind the velvet curtain in the back next time you stop by. No, seriously.). On the burger hierarchy, I can’t compare them to B&B, but I would put them on par with Five Guys or Shake Shack, and several steps above your McDonald’s.

Another burger joint? What’s with this craze? Close to work and I was in the mood for some greasy food. So why not. I ordered the single with all the trimmings, my wife ordered the spicy burger. Both were good, but a little too greasy for my liking. Is this place called Damn Greasy Burger? Place is a little pricey as well. Kick myself in the butt after paying $ 10 for a burger and fries. Although must admit, their sweet potato fries are good. Would I try it again, for sure! Just make sure it’s a payday and I did good all week.

Damn bad service. Luckily the heat game is on and we’re not in a rush. They completely messed up our orders, and never received everything I ordered. Maybe the servers are new. Because they’re forgetting and messing up orders For us and the tables around us. Damn mediocre food, damn bad service. 1 damn star!

Ordered lunch from DGB through . I had a burger, fries, and onion rings to meet the delivery minimum of $ 10. It was definitely a lot of food. The order of onion rings were huge. Overall, it was pretty good, but the burger wasn’t anything that would make me rush to order from them again. I know I got a delivery order, and my food didn’t come immediately out of the kitchen, but my burger was REALLY dry and I took the lettuce off because it was kinda gross and wilted. The onion rings were the highlight of the meal, but won’t bring me back anytime soon.

DGB — damn gross burger. I did not like this place. I spent the afternoon in downtown Miami and had one of those internet dealsite coupons for this place. I popped in with a few friends and none of us were impressed. Granted I don’t eat meat so my review is based solely on the veggie burger and cheese fries I ordered but from what my friends said of the meat they were not impressed either(the word dry kept coming up). Veggie burgers are basically pre-cooked and simply need to be warmed up placed on a bun slapped up with some condiments and dressings and served. I ordered first and then my friends did so I was a bit confused when my veggie burger was the last to arrive at the table(like 20 minutes after everyone’s meat and that was 20 minutes after we ordered so I basically waited nearly 40 minutes for a Morningstar burger). The original sauce was supposed to be a miso mayo. Thank gawd I opted for something else(I tasted it at the condiment counter and it wasn’t so good). The burger was as expected a veggie burger, no complaints on taste just time. I also ordered the cheese fries and that was a mistake. The fries themselves were ok.(In full disclosure between the four of us we ordered all the fries: sweet potato which was delicious, curly which were good, and regular which were normal). It’s just the cheese sauce they served with it was not even edible. Imagine the worst movie theatre cheese sauce ever and then make it luke warm. It wasn’t cheese. It was basically cheese flavored oil product. Not recommended. I also ordered the chocolate shake. Skip it. I don’t even know how to describe the powdery non chocolate flavor of this slightly cold treat. I’d say this place needs to rethink it’s approach to food and service or it won’t last long.

My wife and I visited DGB on a Friday night, because I had purchased a New Times $ 25 coupon. There is plenty of parking in the nearby vicinity, both metered and garage parking. The restaurant is half of what used to be Mia’s gourmet dining area — I guess that didn’t go to well. When we walked in, I was instantly saddened to see the place pretty empty. On a Friday night, there was only one other couple in the whole joint. The décor is nice, a little retro(your typical, if cliché, Beatles, 50’s drive thru, colorful collage of retro ads décor). There was a Lakers-Magic game on, and one of the kitchen employees was at the front watching it. The guy who took our order was pretty friendly. We ordered a double burger with bacon and mushrooms, another double with bacon and bleu, an order of chili fries, and a bucket of Heineken. It was a healthy date night :) The total order was around $ 50, minus the $ 25 coupon. The food took about 10 minutes to come out, which was OK. We assumed they were cooking the burgers to order. Overall, we were pleased with our experience here, and would definitely return. They have some REALLy good specials, like $ 8.75 for a burger + fries + soda combo on Friday nights, happy hours, and a bunch of other ones. So, make sure you find out what the specials are before you go. Because otherwise, you will feel like you paid too much for a burger in a place without much of an environment. No music. Just TV. We ordered our burgers medium, and they came out medium well or well done. But it was OK, we were hungry. The burgers were good! the chili cheese fries were good! There were no napkins in the napkin holder at the counter, but one of the servers quickly brought one out and was very friendly. In general, the service was good. The food and burgers were good. The service was friendly. We felt kind of scammed that the guy who took our order didnt tell us about the Friday night special(which would have saved us 35−50%), but it was OK because we had the coupon. Its so sad to see a restaurant with so much potential, empty on a Friday night. Looking at other reviews, I guess bad service, frozen food(probably due to low turnover on raw materials — they dont have enough consumers to offer fresh), and bad management are the culprits. Its certainly not the location or the décor, which were cool. They have good promos and I have seen some of the marketing online, etc… YOUGUYSCANDOBETTER, DGB!

The chocolate shakes are serious. Like real serious. I don’t even like chocolate ordinarily and I haven’t even tried the other flavors because of how much I love this shake. The burgers have great ingredients but are often not prepared to order and are rarely prepared w care. Very pricey but they have lots of cool deals and are worth the time when you get a deal. Rainey days and your birthday are good times to stop by.

I ordered ahead for take out, got there about 15 minutes later. They had not even started my order yet! 45 minutes later they tell me they accidentally gave my order to someone else, and are making it now. Once I finally got it… it wasn’t even my order! So frustrated with them. Food wasn’t even good.

Should be writing 2 reviews — one for service — which would get 1 star and the other for food — 2 stars As soon as we drove by our daughter realized this is Club Mia. disguised as a burger place during the day! Place was clean, open and bright. Nice variety of free sauces to try on the counter. Service — of what i could see there was a total of 4 people — unfortunately the 2 who were up front seem to be the most lost… they were not sure which order went with what and there was a delay. Line started getting longer. They noticed the delay and in an effort to speed things up, one of these two tried taking too much on her hands and spilled an entire order. Feel sorry for those folks who already had a wait, just got a little longer. Food — I had Single with bacon, bleu cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato — it was cooked to order — no pink and it was ok with onion rings(which some were cut too thick for my taste) What is a complete rip off is the Shake — STAYAWAYFROMTHISONE — NOTONLY is the size ridiculous,(it is the size of a regular coke cup) not really so tasty(kinda watery) but is price of $ 4.25 is RIDICULOUS for its quality… Hubby had double with cheese with sweet potato fries(which were soggy and not of good flavor) Place was ok, food was ok… Not sure if we will be back thou… Damn Not That Good Burger for us…

The Burger here is very good for the price which BTW is the same. You can get the ones in the menu or build your own — my choice: Double Burger and bleu cheese — medium rare please. Food comes fast and is consistent in the majority of the time since I got some well done ones. Grab your beer with it — they have a good selection. If you are in a mood for a quick-good-burger, please stop by.

Had the single burger with Havarti cheese and curly fries. The burger is made to order and toppings(lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.) are free. You will leave stuffed! They also have a variety of dipping sauces which you can try. I had the sweet chili mayo, the cilantro garlic aioli and the DGB sauce. The atmosphere is great with awesome music(not too loud). The facility is very modern and clean. Great lunch spot! We were served quickly. Will definitely be back!

Place was cute and had nice ambiance. We were excited as the place actually had some decent beers to offer and were hopeful that this would translate to the food. Liked: — beer — sweet potato fries Disliked: –burger meat quality — unfortunately did not translate into a «damn good burger»

And I’m back. I have been to DGB3 Fridays in a row thanks to groupons and Miami New Times deals. Before I begin, I would just love to thank these services for saving me over 50% on food that is below mediocre at best. The burgers are ‘generic, bland, off a factory out of the midwest somewhere’ quality. I’m not sure why they claim to be selling burgers that are a proprietary blend. Anyone with ½ a taste bud knows this just ain’t true! The reason we’re going down a star from my previous review: can we please get the take order right just once? Seriously, how fkn hard is it to fire up a double bacon cheese burger with lettuce and tomatoes? Last week when I opened my to go burger, there was absolutely no BACON, and today, to my surprise, I had someone else’s Burger! WTF people? How do I order a double bacon cheese burger with lettuce and tomato and get a double burger with bacon, lettuce and sauteed onions? The fries are spot on, but there seems to be a glitch somewhere in the kitchen because right now, they’re 1 in 3. finally, if you want something that’s not going to disappoint, ironically they have a kick ass hot dog as well as a blackened mahi-mahi salad. Go figure, a burger place that sells top quality everything else except burgers. FML Miami!

Damn good burger is a damn good spot. Come on your birthday for a free burger, that’s what I did :) the customer service was excellent, the place looks trendy and airy with the tall ceilings. Very clean with a high status club vibe(especially the bathrooms) The burger was I think the best I’ve ever had in Miami(neck and neck with the Luther from bulldog BBQ) the fries(waffle) were awesome, and the onion rings were great too. The sweet chipotle sauce is a must on the burger! I can’t wait to go back!!! Luv this place :) Now I’m so DAMN stuffed!

I think Damn Mediocre Burger is probably a better name for this place, but that wouldn’t help sales would it? That’s what it is though, just mediocre. Part burger joint, part night club, the décor is supposed to be retro 50’s or 60’s. Yeah, like a early 60’s strip joint maybe. What’s the beef?! Quoted from their website: «Our dgb blend is an always fresh, never frozen combination of short rib, chuck and brisket. « Uhh, really? Then why did the patty look like it came fresh from a processing plant? The toppings and bun were decent enough, but for less than the twelve bucks paid here I can go to a Five Guys and get a much better burger or for a little more I can to Burger & Beer Joint and have a superior burger! Sides? I tried the Sweet Potato fries which at first were really good, but quickly lost their edge when they began to cool off and started to taste a little too greasy. Unless you’re already downtown, I’d skip it.

I have eaten at Damn Good Burger three times, and every time it has been delicious overall. I always get the build-your-own burger, which is reasonably priced and plenty big enough. The meat is juicy and tasty, and I like the selection of cheeses available. Havarti is especially decadent… Although I love the burgers, I did have to take off a star for the fries. When this place first opened they had real French fries, but now they have waffle fries which are OK but definitely not as good. Sweet potato fries are very good, onion rings are yummy, if a bit greasy(a guilty pleasure…) Also, portion sizes used to be bigger. So overall, I would prefer the fries they used to have, but the burgers are always«Damn Good!» Highly recommended.

DGB had a promotion to commemorate one month of being in business: Cheeseburger & Fries for a grand total of $ 1.50! So I made my way over for take-out after work… It’s impressive for a burger joint: woody, spacious, there’s great natural light coming in through the many windows, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Nice. Go up to order and the 2 cashiers are complaining about not getting any tips… Okie dokie.(Btw, I left $ 2 and said, «Well, I hope this is enough.») I placed my order and found it odd that I wasn’t asked how I wanted my burger cooked. But being that it was a special, I didn’t worry about it. As long as the burger wasn’t rare, for $ 1.50 I was going to eat the thing! Customers are given a number on a long metal pole so that when the order is ready, a server from the kitchen can bring it directly to wherever you’re waiting. Took a while but a wait was expected due to the promotion. A smiling young man brought me my order and I was gone. Once I got home, I opened my packages and things were looking quality: friendly waffle fries, soft yet sturdy burger bun, fresh veggies, there was that lovely oozing slice of cheddar cheese… BUT the meat… Something about the beef made me «hmmm». Closer inspection and taste revealed that the patty was of the very generic, cheap-o, frozen variety. It was both disappointing and perplexing to me why a business that has«burger» in the title would invest in everything BUT its namesake item. Yeah, it was only $ 1.50BUT it was also my 1st(and subsequently, last) impression of DGB. There are too many great burger places around to come in with a mediocre product. Hopefully, the burger I got isn’t what’s normally served. If it is… Well…

My experience was tremendous. The manager came and said hello, recommended his favorite burger, and even offered our party the sweet potato fries on the house(which were amazing) to try. Our busser was a little dressed down but what do you expect from a teenager trying to make a living by doing the right thing and working! None the less he was cool and reeked of nothing but hard work. Great experience, awesome burgers and sides for the price, and brilliant selection of beer. Definitely going back.

The burgers were satisfactory. They messed up our order and they were having issues keeping the condiment bar filled(I had to go ask 3 times for condiments). The staff is very nice though. I’ve eaten at quite a few burger places and honestly this place is not damn good. It’s okay.

Yet ANOTHER Burger place has opened in Miami. I am starting to suffer from Burger Fatigue… I really don’t get this craze. But anyway, I thought I’d check out this place out. It has opened in the old Mia Biscayne space in the 50 Biscayne Tower in downtown. The ordering process is much like a fast-food restaurant. You go up to the counter place your order, and then they bring it to the table. I was a little surprised at this considering the price you pay. Speaking of price… it’s on the expensive side. Their Damn Good Burger actually is a double burger with two patties… nice enough. It starts at $ 7.99. Add fries and a drink and your meal is $ 12.25 including tax. Kind of steep IMO. The burger was pretty good. They jazz it up by branding the bun. Angus beef from a certain farm(I can’t remember the name). The fries are very good… hand cut but not especially crispy. Overall, the meal was pretty good. One glaring omission from the menu is a turkey burger. Especially in health-conscious and image-obsessed Miami, you’d think they’d at least offer something a little on the heatlhy side… the answer is no. Limited selection of sides too… I was expecting more. Atmosphere was OK. I went for lunch and have also tried a couple of other burger places in town(Burger and Beer, Fatburger and 5 Guys) They look like they’ve spent little money fixing up the original Mia space. Its not bad, but nothing special either. Burger and Beer atmosphere is a lot better. Overall, its hard to justify the price. A Burger King whopper or 5 Guys burger, fries and drink will literally run you half the price and the taste is almost or just as good.
