A Zoo. The worst customer service and extremely overpriced. Came in to get my hair done and could not believe how rude the receptionist and the stylist were. They need to learn manners unless they prefer to act like monkeys in a zoo.

Péssimo ! Fui tingir minha raiz, perguntei antes se trabalhavam com o produto que eu usava no Brasil e dei exatamente a fórmula que meu cabeleireiro passou. Até então tudo dando certo. Sentei para passar a tinta e veio a 1a surpresa, não aplicam qualquer produto para que a tinta não deixe manchar no rosto. A 2a surpresa foi a forma rápida com que aplicaram o produto, a partir desse momento comecei a rezar para N.Sra. da Coloração. A 3a surpresa foi o tempo, jamais tirei a tinta após 30 minutos de aplicação, sempre fico no mínimo 45 minutos. E, obviamente, para finalizar minha 4a surpresa, que na verdade já era de se esperar, encontrei vários fios de cabelo que não foram tingidos. Enfim, não recomendo jamais!!!

Certainly the worst place to get a haircut. The hairdresser was very impolite! I got the haircut that she wanted, no what I had requested.

Absolutely worst place ever! On December 21, I Spent $ 135 on a set of nails, pedicure, and tip, for my wedding out of state. Two days later, after landing in Texas, nails started chipping and, on day 3, fell off. I called to speak to a manager and didn’t get a call back until Christmas Eve. When I returned from out of state, I came to the salon to get a refund. Not only was the lady at the desk rude, she actually had the nerve to tell me to shut my mouth, but they refused a full refund. Absolutely disgusting people to take someone’s hard earned money for a horrible product and service. Please people, do not spend your money in this place. Horrible horrible horrible!

had my hair done with Siggy– she’s awesome. She did highlights, hair cut, and blower and my hair looked great. Best part– she is fast! the salon is expensive so make sure you are ok with the prices.

Honestly, I don’t know why this place has so many negative reviews.
I must say, I had a great experience as a walk-​in (1^st timer).
Let me start by saying I am very particular, when I choose who can style my hair. I have really long, healthy, beautiful, well-​maintained hair and I’ll be damned if I let anyone cut, dye and/​or style my hair and mess it Up! Oooooh, it wouldn’t be PREETY. Lol
Thankfully, when I have good vibes about a place, it usually turns out to be a great experience, which was the case at Coco’s Salon!
Turn back the clock:
I recently found a gift certificate from Coco’s that was given to me many moons ago. Obviously, I NEVER used it, until today. I wish I wouldn’t have waited this long!
Beyond a doubt, it took a lot of courage for me to go to someone new. I prayed to baby Jesus and He blessed me with Ari as my stylist. She is nice, sincere and did a great job asking how I’d like my hair to look, then following through with this info. That’s a huge Plus! After I went on and on about my hair (Lol), she gave her opinion, and thankfully she was able to exceed my expectations.
I am Extremely Happy with the End Result! I would definitely recommend Coco’s Salon. If you go, remember to ask for Ari.

I honestly don’t know why there are so many bad reviews. I was a walk in for a blo dry. I was taken immediately. The wash was really good with perfect pressure. I was asked if the water temp was ok, if I prefer conditioner on the ends only and if I wanted a cool rinse. The blo dry by Isaac was excellent and I’m really picky. He did a superb job and I was out the door on less than half an hour. Only reason for 4 stats instead of 5 was no use or offer of product. But I’d return in a heart beat.

Today was a day filled with torture, I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone… I met my really nice, cute sweet stylist, and loved his personality, he was a very nice personable guy, but then he talked me into doing my color, he left bleach on my scalp for more than a hour, under heat and my hair was canary yellow in 1 hour, great look for Cindy Laper, but not for me. when he started to chop into my heat it was obvious he knew nothing about cutting hair, finally the receptionist (only professional person there, she quickly called a good stylist from there 2^nd salon and said come now, this woman’s hair looks like a duck, yellow and fried, he showed up took me to the other salon location on the other end of the mall and had to cut all my hair off, it is 1 inch long now, was 8 inches long before the fry, he had to re apply bleach, and now my color is not as bright yellow, but not a good color, and my scalp is bleeding and has blisters oozing with blood, my hair that is left is fried, the receptions actually asked for 160 $ payment and they offered me shampoo and conditioner to try to repair my hair, I asked them to keep there product and told them I won’t pay, I should sue them, pain agony and 6 hours, fried horrible scary hair :(I will hide for now, need a hat or wig

I have had the worst Manicure experience in my life at this establishment. The manicurist had my nails soaked in acetone for over 30 minutes, while I had a pedicure. Nails should soak in acetone only for 2 – 10 minutes, no longer. She then proceeded to rip my nail while FILING off my SHELLAC manicure. I insisted that she stop the service bc of her rough and insensitive service to my nails.
It seems that the management is not concerned with training of their employees and the service that they give.
Do not go to this salon for nail service. Or go at your own risk of having a painful and unprofessional service.

Went in today to get a haircut and left really happy, got Mike to wash bad cut my hair recommended by a friend and he was really nice and really knew what he was doing, love my haircut and thee blowdry, really fast and fair price!

This salon is located in Aventura Mall. I live in Aventura and decided to go in for a consultation and hair color cut etc. Its close to me so I thought I would try it out. I should have known because I’ve gone in there 3 times. EVERYTIME I have gone the woman are the most incredibly negative rude unhappy stinky smell like smoke and insulting to customers people I have ever met! They insult you and then act like you’re nuts! I’ve been getting my hair done since I was in my teens and I was shocked at how anyone could hire let alone stay in business with the type of people that work there. HORRIBLE! If you are looking to be pampered DONT GO HERE! If you are looking for limited hair colors and bad attitudes then this is the place! You’ve been warned! I never like to give a business a bad review but these people more than earned it!!! AWEFUL! I wouldn’t take my dog here!!!

After patronizing the same hairdresser for five years and feeling increasingly disappointed, stranded in Aventura Mall because of the rain, I entered Coco Salon. I got color, high lights and a trim and left very happy: Marlen is one of the few hairdresser who listens to what the client asks. I don’t think the prices are that bad, considering where the salon is located. The only complaint, is that the salon is very busy and that I had to sit in the waiting area with the color on my head. I will be back for sure.

Today was my 3^rd visit to Coco’s, and I will NOT return.
On the first visit, I was waiting while my husband got a haircut. The nail tech and some other staffer got into a loud conflict IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS, and it ended with the nail tech’s lunch dumped all over the floor. This wasn’t a great first impression, but I figured maybe it was a personal issue for the nail tech, and gave the rest of the salon the benefit of the doubt.
On the second visit, I went in for a consultation. I sat down with one of the stylists to get their input on how to style my hair for an upcoming job interview. He told me point blank there was nothing he could do to make it look nice without cutting or coloring it (I’ve been growing out the last color and letting my gray come in). I walked out very disheartened.
On today’s visit, I had finally decided to get a fresher, shorter cut. Several things went *very* wrong. First, I was sent to stand in the middle of the shampoo area while my stylist and I waited for a shampoo station to open up. Very poor form on their part.
Next, that was the sloppiest salon shampoo I’ve ever received. Twice I had to reach up & wipe suds away from my eyebrows!
At the stylist’s station, I saw the stylist had his scissors in a case on the counter. When he picked them up I saw that, underneath the scissors, the case was full of hair. At this point, I started to get up & leave. But I thought maybe I was being unreasonable, so I stayed.
I had TOLD the stylist I wanted a short bob before we even reached the shampoo station. I had to repeat what I wanted at least 3 more times, and STILL didn’t get it. Apparently the stylist’s definition of a «bob» is quite different than the conventional definition.
Also, when the stylist picked up a brush to style my hair with, it was FULL of hair! Disgusting.
I finally had to lean away from his scissors and just say, «I’m done!» to get him to stop.
This cut cost $ 60!!! The girl up front asked what the problem was, I told her the cut is NOT what I asked for and NOT what I wanted. Her response was that the stylist is one of their best. If he’s one of their best, they’re in trouble. Neither the stylist nor the receptionist /​cashier showed the least concern that I was not happy with the cut. The receptionist asked if I wanted the stylist to «fix it.» I told her no thanks, he had done quite enough.
I paid for the service because I didn’t want to cause a scene. But I will NEVER return to this salon, and highly recommend that everyone who reads this go ELSEWHERE.

ZERO STARS. If it were possible to rate zero stars, that’s what Coco’s Hair Salon would receive from me. I was visiting family in Miami on May 18, 2012 and took my 9 yr old nice to Coco’s for a manicure. The plan was for both of us to have manicures, when we walked in, the receptionist (tall, thin girl with long hair — brown/​light brown with highlights) told us it would just be a moment for both of us. We waited maybe 10 minutes, then were taken to our respective nail technicians. I put my bag down, and said «I’ll be back in just 1 minute, I have to run to the bathroom», and did just that. I returned no longer than a minute and ½ later, and the receptionist had given away my appointment (someone else was sitting in my seat). When I asked my niece’s nail tech was happened, she said she wasn’t sure and that I should ask the receptionist. My 9 yr old niece even knew better and said «she gave your seat away.». I then asked the receptionist what’s up and that both my niece and I were supposed to have manicures simultaneously and she’d walked me to the nail tech who has now begun giving someone who moved my bag and was in my seat a manicure… and why was my appointment given away? She literally said «I’m so sorry, but you went to the bathroom before your appmt started, you should have sat down immediately. We can offer a polish change in about 20 minutes?» The very sweet customer who was given my spot heard all of this and said «oh no, I’m so sorry– I’m not in a rush, please take my spot that was supposed to be yours so you can finish when your niece does». I thanked her and told her it wasn’t her fault and since she was already seated and soaking her hands, to go ahead and finish. And obviously I told the receptionist «no thanks» on the polish change. I regret not insisting on speaking with the owner or manager. When I returned to my home in Chicago and shared the story with my regular nail technician, she responded by saying she’s embarassed by that kind of behavior within her industry and that I should post a negative review about my experience. Great idea, I should have done this last week when it happened… VERY poor customer service, do not patronize Coco’s salon.

wow. I’m really surprised to read of Ma M.‘s experience. Having several issues with other local manicure/​pedicure spots (language barriers, being rude, quality of work etc.) I decided to try out Coco’s about a year ago. They’ve nipped each and every one of my issues with other places in the bud! Batia (maybe Vatia not sure of spelling) is amazing. She’s very friendly and takes her time with you to make sure your nails and toes are exactly how you like them to be. I’ve done both shellac manicures and regular manicure/​pedicure with her, as well as other nail technicians, and they’re all great (but she’s the BEST!). Having two small children and washing my hands like crazy my shellac manicures would like a good 14 days without chipping. I’ve used other daily deal coupons to get my shellac manicures with because of cost, but each time I went else where I really regretted it. Coco’s is simply the best.
The salon, nail areas, bathrooms, and massage areas are all immaculate. Super duper clean. They are somewhat pricey, but you’re in Aventura so you should really expect to pay that. You’re not going to pay the $ 24 for a manicure like you would in Hialeah but you know what, you’re going to get much better service, nicer ambiance, and the quality of work is not even comparable. Even in comparison to other local nail salons — the other places have a «spa» pedicure that is the same price as Coco’s regular pedicure. You get what you pay for!
My Husband has had his hair cut there several times, by two different guys as well, and loved the place. For a guy who does not want to think about how to do his hair everyday and place a ton of stress on that, this is the place. They gave him a great and simple style that is easily manageable, and then taught him how to recreate it at home.
I keep reading about language barrier issues in reviews but I speak and understand English and Spanish. I think at Coco’s they sometimes speak Hebrew and Russian (as well as English of course) but it’s not like they’re doing that while working on you like at other places where the workers are predominantly Asian. They speak perfect English and are very polite. This is a must go-​to spot for a shellac manicure, and in a prime location too! You can go shopping or just stroll around the mall afterward!

I have gotten my hair cut and colored here, as well as eye brow waxing, and manicure. I really like this place. It is always busy, but usually you can walk in a receive service. Price wise, it is a little pricey, but the attendants are very knowledgeable a do quality work. The only thing I don’t like is that sometimes because of the language barrier, it is difficult to communicate with some of the staff. For example, I had my eyebrows waxed a few days ago and the attendant did a great job, but she didn’t even ask me how I wanted them to look. Other than that, this is one of my favorite locations to go when I want to get a trim, wax, or nails done.
