Past president miami chamber of commerce. Served as president of Rotary Club, served as chairman of CFIT (citizens for improved transportation) when Metrorail was being built. Served on advisory committe when Metro Zoo was under construction. Named outstanding citizen by Miami Herald Times Guide in 1977. Served on committe to elect Bob Graham governor of in Florida.
