Service was horrendous. Two of the staff were taking up the counter seats and eating, meanwhile the other behind the counter just stared at us without even a hello. We were about to leave, but figured we would give them the benefit of a doubt. Then we started ordering and even asked what was their most popular item only to be given a shrug back. After finishing our order that’s when the woman told us they were only taking cash. You couldn’t have told us that BEFORE we started ordering? So we told her we were going to go to the ATM in the gas station directly in front of them and she gave a nod. We didn’t take longer than five minutes and when we walked back they had closed their doors. It was 1:10, I had checked the time because it clearly says on their door that they close at 2:00. Oh well. Pretty sad we didn’t get to try the food though, the pictures of it look amazing. But I’d rather not eat somewhere where they obviously don’t care about the customer. Besides, it’s not like they’re the only late-night Colombian stop around, there’s tons more and with better service.

Burgers are not good and fries are frozen type. I rather go to BK or even Five guys for better burgers and better price! We will not return. Service was ok…

I’m hearing good things by mouth regarding this place. So it’s a place that you have to go to even if it’s once. Because everyone you know has probably mentioned this place around you. I’m not a big fan of Colombian food because I had a bad experience a couple of times that made me never want to eat that Colombian restaurants or eat their food. But this place changed my view and brought me over to their side. The food is way fulling and the service is really nice! The only problem I have with this place – the main reason why it’s not a 5 star – is that it opens at 6 o’clock. Honestly, what restaurant does that!!! But the food is worth the wait!

One day, I predict this type of fast food will be exported to the rest of the country. This is when I count myself lucky to be exposed to Miami’s collage of cultures, because I have experienced the perro especial. The first time I saw this, my Columbian friend convinced me to just bite into a hot dog which was covered in brightly covered sauces of yellow, white, green, red, and pink. You have to understand that I had never seen this done to a hot dog. Basically there a number of things you can order, but the perro version is a hot dog with pieces of ham added on, these chip like french fry things, and then mayo, ketchup, chimi sauce(don’t know what this is, but it’s good), pina sauce(like a pineapple sauce), mustard, and maybe even something else I’ve forgotten. You can mix and match sauces, but I say go all in and then dig in. Traditionally this is late night food to go with a long time of drinking, but that’s not required. This can easily be enjoyed anytime, even if a salt inspired hang over may happen. I’ve chased Donde Timmy around for years, from a cart to a warehouse off of 112 St, to various other places and then to here. Maybe the place moves again in the next couple of years, but Timmy is worth following.

This is as good as Colombian fast food gets. I’ve been eating at Timmy’s restaurants for over 8 years now and it’s still just as good as always. This place is not fancy, but it’s not meant to be(it’s a hot dog stand!). It’s relaxed, it’s friendly, it’s unassuming(in a good way) and most of all, it’s delicious.
