Bad staff. Food is mediocre.
^ my original tip now I think with a level head I can explain the situation.
So we came here to eat because they have a «parrilla» that comes with a lot of meat and everyone picks from there and we each order the sides we wants its almost like a barbecue style. Now not only is this the most expensive thing on their menu it’s not very good! It is a lot of meat but… It’s the worst pieces of meat the chicken was terrible which, it’s kind of hard to ruin chicken. We weren’t as mad about this because anywhere you go the food is always a hit or miss what really drove home the reason for the original bad tip was the bad service we received! So first they advertise certain things and they didn’t carry it. The waitress when we asked her would kind of like laugh like if we were wrong for even asking like we should know even though they advertise that they don’t carry those items. Then finally when my boyfriend went to pay he handed his card to the lady at the front and told her the tip amount in Spanish so she can’t even say there was a language barrier because he spoke HER language and she went ahead and tipped herself an additional $ 5, all this with a stupid grin on her face when confronted she then pretended to not understand us. To avoid more problem we just walked out and will never be back again!
I guess if you want to go, take cash and don’t order la parrilla! Lol

Third time here service is bad. food is ok .they charge for to go containers. i love their fries.

No bueno. The staff was pretty bad. We had the parilla meat combo. It looked terrible and the taste was not good at all. I started feeling bad after I ate. The waitress decided to tip herself extra after I said only as two dollars. She had a smirk after which really got me upset. Place is not nice looking at all. Save your money and go to one of the bigger chain places.

We came to Miami on a mini vacation while my husband had to work here. We wanted something different –This place was great!
Everything we ordered was delicious — not one complaint from the 3 adults and 4 kids. All of our kids tried everything and loved it all– and I do have a couple picky eaters! My husband works down in Miami often and will definitely be back!

Went here for dinner last night. The server at the bar area was mediocre. The food was good, but the steak was slightly overcooked. It was an okay dining experience. I’ll likely go again just because the pupusas were delicious!

this is a disgrace! And I’m Cuban Salvadoran… I thought this restaurant was my calling… they call themselves a Cuban Salvadoran restaurant… I think not! The pupusas are made incorrectly, they don’t even know how to make a proper ‘revuelta”, the waitress scoffed at my mother when she asked her for a pupusa that wasn’t too «doughy». All in all, I don’t know how anyone who claims to know pupusas could like this place. Never again!

no, not a 5 star restaurant… but they get 5 stars for knocking it outta the park in their own realm. 1^st… when you walk in, it’s gorgeous. i defy you to find dirt or dust anywhere. i looked… even around the lights… in the bathroom. this place was spotless. the food… fantastic. we were there for breakfast… was getting a windshield fixed 3 doors down. the staff was great (really pretty girl) & the café couldnt be beat. if i didnt live in broward… i’d be there weekly. if on calle ocho & hungry… go to Café Vinales

«Pupusa Heaven” – I’ve been advocating the name change for quite some time… Crunchy shredded cabbage, spicy picante sauce, and don’t forget the incredible (fresh made) salsa. If you’ve never eaten a pupusa – this is one of the best places to try them in Miami.
Portions tend to run large and if you want to try a little of everything get the «Super Antojitos». It combines plantains, steak, chicharron, salsa, crema, platanos maduros, queso blanco, nachos, frijoles, etc.
And if you’re in need of a sugary horchata fix this place sells it by the bucket. Parking is somewhat tricky and the music tends to play pretty loud, but otherwise the restaurant is a stellar place to get your fix of central-​American cravings.

When I come to Café Vinales, I only order the pupusas, which are delicious! I’ve had various kinds of pupusas here: I’ve ordered them with cheese only, I also had them ‘con loroco’ (lororo is a Central American plant, where the flower bud is used in cooking) and I’ve had them with chicharron. And all the different varieties that I’ve ordered them were very tasty. The pupusas seemed bigger than the way I’ve had them, compared to the way they’re typically served at other Central American restaurants. I usually pair my pupusas with crema and refritos frijoles & they serve it up real nice here. The service has always been good & they’re always attentive. They also serve cold beers!

I went here on an absolute whim while I was in Miami for business in late fall 2010. Thanks to Urbanspoon I found this place and gave it a shot for some evening take-​out.
My meal was good — a no frills Cuban sandwich (ham, pork, cheese, pickles) and a side order of plantains. The sandwich was huge — I could finish barely half of it. Same with the plantains. It was a huge order.
If I’m back in town I’d certainly consider this place for a quick meal. First, I should probably perfect my Spanish, though. I felt like a bit of a dummy trying to order my meal in my very poor Spanish.
