Get the Bunbury Empanada! Although everything is delicious! Excellent ambiance and fantastic service. My new favorite Argentinian restaurant in Miami.

Bunbury is a very cool and laid back restaurant that’s housed in a former gas station/service station. There is parking in the front and in back(and plenty of meters directly across the street), seating under the front awning where gas pumps were once located, inside the place where the garages and service bays were, and out back as well. On certain nights they have a band and live music out in the open grassy area behind this restaurant. I’ve been here a few times, most recently I came here on a Saturday night at around midnight with 4 others for some late night bites and a few glasses of wine. We ordered I think 3 orders of their empanadas to share. My favorites were the vegetable ones; they were amazingly flavorful! We also ordered the sliders, I tried the one with carmelized onions and it was very tasty as well. We ordered 4 beers when we arrived, and then had 3 bottles of wine, mostly their mid-priced bottles. In the end, we split the bill 5 ways and it came out to $ 51.92 each before gratuity. What I like about this place is that it can be whatever you wish. If you only want an appetizer or small plate and a glass of wine, they have that. If you want an entrée or a full meal with higher end wines or even champagne, they have that, too. Wine prices are all over the road — Starting at $ 9/glass and working up. Their bottles also range from inexpensive to more than $ 100/bottle. Do note that at least a few of the bottles of wine that I’m familiar with did seem to be marked up quite high vs. retail. One does expect to pay a markup for wines at a restaurant, but the ones I noted seemed a bit excessive.

This place is so good. All of the food was to die for. Service Great. Very chill atmosphere with swings. I’m so surprised it’s not a top rated restaurant on here, definitely a hidden gem that deserves a lot more credit.

Love coming to his place. Wine is great, empanadas are delicious and the ambienece is awesome. I only give it 4 starsbecause the outside is horrible. I only came inside because a friend told me to, if not, I would have never come inside. But once you come inside you always have a good time :)

One of my favorite spots, perfect for happy hour with wine and delicious empanadas. My favorite is always the bunbury. Not only do I eat there, but I always bring some with me back home. Although drinks are ok, try to stick to wine or beer. There’s also live music sometimes.

Bunbury is the best! Where do I start… The atmosphere is awesome; both the inside and out. It’s got a hipster feeling, yet it’s classy. The prices are very reasonable and they have a great happy hour. Their empanadas are delicious and unique, and they have a very extensive wine selection. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they have live music often. They even have a little parking lot in the back. This place is a hidden gem, only tell your best friends about it ;-)

Wow. Okay. Worst service I’ve ever received in any restaurant in Miami, in my 28 years of residence here. I’ll bullet point it because I know you guys aren’t trying to read 5 paragraphs of complaints: 1. Took two hours to be seated. This is honestly the least of my concerns because It’s my bad for not making a reservation. 2. The tables were child sized. They had to bring a rolling bar rack so we could put our drinks on it. They only brought this after I asked since I had been holding my cup unable to put it down. 3. The waitress forgot my order and disappeared for 20 minutes. When she came back, she admitted she didn’t remember what I had ordered and asked again. 4. The food took about an hour. It was lukewarm when it was placed in front of me. I ate it anyway because I was starving at that point and I hadn’t seen a waiter or waitress since the plate had been set down. 5. I never received a refill for water and again, the waitress was no where to be found. 6. I ordered coffee when she finally strode by. 25 minutes went by and she admitted she had forgotten it. I said«never mind» and we asked for the check. 7. The check had several cocktails and drinks we didn’t order. mostly because we couldn’t find anyone to order them from. When I told the manager/shift supervisor, she claimed it was impossible and developed an aggressive attitude because she felt we were trying to avoid the bill. Eventually I proved to her it was an error because they was literally no space on our table for anything and nothing had been cleared. Not even the appetizer plate. I told her the service had been terrible and she made no effort to correct the situation, still aggravated over my perceived annoyance. Needless to say, I wouldn’t go back if they paid me.

Such a great date place/get together spot. Romantic lights and quaint décor paired with delectable tapas, exquisite cheeses, and divine wines. They make their own baked(yay) empanadas in house. Everything is quite fresh; you can tell it’s all prepared on premise. They’re incredibly accommodating with special events/big groups. It was such a pleasure working with Paola/Geraldine. We feasted on goat cheese-wrapped zucchini, vegetable medley empanadas, and beautiful cheese plates. There’s an abundance of street parking around and a delightful relaxing Wynwood vibe. I only wish they would expand!

I visited this place while my friends were visiting from out of town on a coworkers recommendation. From the street view, you can’t tell that this quaint little restaurant exists but on the backside, is outdoor seating with string lights. Very cute. We ordered a bunch of food to share, all of which was great especially the empanadas. The reason for knocking off the stars is that mid-meal, management asked our party to move because they didn’t realize that they had a previous reservation. Fine – except we were seated in a table with hardly any light to see our dinner and they did not bother to compensate us in any way. By the time we were through, I only saw one guy seated alone in the table they moved us from. Pretty rude if you ask me.

this place is awesome for many reasons. las empanadas, the vibe, the wine list, the cheese, etc. the patio feels very homey and is a great spot for both groups and dates. inside the vibe is definitely more intimate. service is always polite and engaging. even on busy nights it seems everything flows well here.

This place has a great vibe to sit outside, have a wine and relax. The food is really good, the wine we ordered was as well. I opted for the Cabernet/Malbec blend. The only thing I would recommend them to do is have more wine varietals on the menu. I don’t care for Malbecs, I prefer blends, there were not so many to choose from. However, major plus for serving our wine at the correct temperature, and even offering an ice bucket for our red because it was so hot outside. Overall a very relaxing and nice experience. Well priced menu.

Great place to come chill out and eat great food. The croquetas were amazing. Good wine. A bit hot during the day, but at night when we are not in hell(Miami summer time) its perfect. Good for a date.

I love little holes in the wall and this one is no exception. I came after work for some wine but ended up enjoying some prosciutto, burrata, and duck empanadas. The bottle of Malbec was a little on the pricey side but it was delicious. It was a perfect night with great company and I’ll do it all again next week.

:Came here on a date a few weeks back, and I gotta tell ya…: This space has been somewhat cursed for a spell, and I’m hoping that Bunbury is the azabache to ward off whatever mal de ojo someone put on this place. You can sit inside or out. We sat inside, because someone who runs as hot as I do ain’t about that life. The interior is dark and screams of a library or a study in some Victorian-era house. Something I might read about in some book or where Colonel Mustard might kill Professor Plum with a horseshoe. We were even seated at a bureau. Not a table. A freaking bureau. Drawers and all. Totally spoke to the nerd inside me. Behind the bureau is this very beautiful armoire wrapped in glass. :So this date, I gotta tell ya…: We ordered one of those cured meat and cheese tablas(the Picada Bunbury: Manchego, brie, goat cheese, mortadella, sopresatta, prosciutto, sun-dried tomato pesto, marinated olives, and mini capri) and a bottle of red wine, the varietal of which escapes me. Anyway, I don’t want to get too bogged down on the food and drinkstuffs, because if I’m being completely honest, I don’t have the best palate for wine(just give me something red, slightly tannic, dark, and full-bodied), and as for cheese and meat, dude, I’m an equal-opportunity cheeser and meater(though I didn’t like the mortadella, but that’s a me thing). What really makes this place is the feel of it. I’m telling you, you almost feel transported, and if you’re with the right company, it’s like everything but the food and the wine and the bubble that you and that company are in just melts away. It’s pretty wild stuff, man. I’d love to go back and try some of the food. Reading some of the reviews here, it seems like they’ve got a pretty strong selection. :So this date, man…: I really hope this place makes it, hope that the reviews and the word-of-mouth keep coming, because it’s a nice spot to just sit and forget about the day and just learn someone’s features. It’s nice. :It was a good freaking date. Real freaking good. Too bad she sucks.: You don’t mean that. :I don’t…: Bitter much? :Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe.: It suits you. :Teehee.:

Absolutely incredible experience! First of all, they have an impressive wine selection for whatever you order, or if you just want to try something. The food itself was great. I had the empanadas and a goat cheese salad. I can’t recommend the empanadas enough, but loved both! However, what I really loved most was the service. Each table is waited on by the entire wait staff, so you always have full water glasses. The waitresses were very accommodating, agreeing to make iced tea even though it wasn’t on the menu. I want to go to Miami just to eat here again!

We decided to try it On a Tuesday night. Thanks to My fellow Unilocalers Reviews we found it. For a Tuesday night it was busy but not overly crowded. They have a dirt parking in the back so watch out of you are wearing stilettos. The local looked darker but intimate and hip, a perfect setting for a date. But harder to read the menu. There was a band playing so if you seat outside having a conversation could be harder. Decoration was eclectic, there’s no AC(kind of a semi open place) with lots and lots of books. Every table and chair was different adding charm to the place. As soon as we made it to the terrace an extremely friendly hostess sat us down. It’s was full outside so we sat inside. The pretty waitress handed the menu and wine list. The menu is not big but have enough options. Portions are big enough for one, may be for 2 if you are not very hungry. In general service and food was good. But The casual setting and music Made it welcoming And intimate.
