If Brides of Florida could be summed up in one word, it would simply be AMAZING. They have amazing customer service!!! Their owner, Macky is extremely nice and is was so willing to help me out in everything that I needed. When booking your appointment, feel free to ask for Ashley too! She is sweet and helpful! I have nothing but great things to say about this store. The people working there are extremely professional. They have a huge selection of dresses that are affordable and so so beautiful. Would recommend this place to any bride out there that wants to find their perfect dress.

Such a gem in Kendall! Awesome prices, with a wide selection to chose from! Everyone was so helpful and pleasant in helping me find my future wedding dress! Also, the price for alterations you can’t beat anywhere else.

They have a large selection of gorgeous dresses at great prices. Nilvia was a total sweetheart in helping me find my dress. The dress actually arrived beforehand, that’s always a plus. And they’ve expanded their store so more space to try on these beauties.

Had a great experience trying on dresses and ultimately purchasing one from Brides of Florida — I made a Saturday appointment and was promptly helped upon arriving. I came specifically to try on one dress but they suggested a few others similar to the one I liked so that I could have a few options and narrow down what I liked and didn’t. Jenny who helped me was great — she helped me get in and out of the gowns and was very attentive and receptive to what I was into or not. Ultimately, I chose the dress I initially came in to try on but we are making a few slight modifications to make it the perfect dress for me. I am so excited to have my dress come in and return for my first fitting!

My experience at Brides of Florida was great. I ordered my dress 8 months before my wedding date, February 26, 2016. My dress came in a few weeks earlier and I had 2 dress fittings prior to picking up my dress. From the day I went to choose my dress, I got great customer service. Macarena and her team are very knowledgeable about the dresses and accessories. I chose Emma from Maggie Sottero. It was the last dress I tried on and I fell in love with it. Macarena and her team always made me feel like I had made the right choice, always complimented how great the dress looked on me at every fitting. Every time I called or went in to the store, the customer service was superb. Planning my wedding had its stressful moments but I am glad I didn’t have to worry about my dress and all thanks to the great team that works at Brides of Florida. All my friends and I have bought our dresses here and we all recommend it to future brides. My experience was amazing just like it should be. Thank You for making me a happy bride throughout this process.

Great boutique with such amazing dresses! I was in love with them all! Nilvia helped me find my perfect dress. She paired it so well with Barrett’s and Veils. She had a great eye for suggestions. I would Definitely recommend especially for brides on a budget that want to look stunning with their gowns! This place is a must see

This place was the best. I FOUND MY DRESS! Coming here was the best option ever. I went to another store and everyone was so RUDE! They were trying to sell me the dress I had originally wanted for over $ 3,000 and Brides of Florida Florida had it for half the price! They have so many dresses, great people, great service, I can’t wait to get my dress in!!!

Best bridal shop I found in Miami! Had a big variety of styles. I bought my dress here at a trunk show. All the girls and owner are very friendly and helpful they made this a great experience for me! Would definitely recommend you check it out if looking for a wedding dress

First off, I would like to say I was a bit surprised by some of the previous negative post. I am sorry some did not have a great experience. However, mine was perfect from the day I went in to «just look» until the day I walked out with the perfect wedding gown. I loved my experience at Brides of Florida. While looking for my dress I went to a few places in the tri-​county area and they were by far the best. I told them my vision and they knew exactly what I wanted. They never rushed me or made me feel pressured like many other boutiques (including those overrated Coral Gables stores). They made me feel comfortable to share any comments or concerns. Not to mention the ladies at Brides of Florida were very patient and professional; you will receive quality work done to your gown. The boutique is beautiful and there’s many designers to choose from in different price ranges and the quality is superb; you will not be disappointed. By the time I had my last fitting they were like family; Macky and Anya are my fairy God-​Mothers :)

I just wanted to say that this place was a life saver!
2 months before my wedding I had a dress emergency. I came here in a panic and left with the most beautiful dress ever!
I wanted to commend the owner Maky who was super involved in helping me find the perfect one!
They brought me dress after dress and finally I found the one! I cannot remember the ladies name who helped me but she was an angel! Spanish lady who didn’t let me quit and brought me the dress of my dreams!

Where can I begin. I am an event planner in Miami and New York and have recommended all of my brides to Brides of Florida. The level of customer service all of my brides have received is outstanding. They are very knowledgable when it comes to all of the gowns and their designers which helps all my brides who are doing this for the first time. Turnaround time is very quick in comparison to some of my go to places in New York. I look forward to building a long relationship with this boutique and I know all of my current and future brides will have the same experience. My only regret is not knowing about them when I got married :)

I went about two months ago when I began my search for my wedding dress. Long story short, they have a huge selection but I was not impressed with any of the styles or material of the dresses. I think the prices are a little too steep especially for the quality of the dresses. Overall it was an okay experience, I tried over 12 of them and I didn’t like any. My mother walked out of the shop because she was not impressed. I had heard so many good things about them but was not impressed.

This place is horrible the owner Maggie extremely rude and disrespectful I have to agree with Nicole F. She’s a liar. I came the first time in July everyone was lovely I picked my dress and gave a deposit but I came today to exchange my dress because I’m having a smaller wedding. I spoke with Maggie she agreed on transferring the deposit to another dress of my choice. I picked a dress and from across the room she shouted «I hate it it’s so ugly» everyone looked and I was mortified of course I responded with its my choice. That didn’t sit well with her so she stormed out and told the lady that was helping me not to give me my deposit and she said she never told me anything about exchanging which is a lie even her front desk girl jennifer felt bad because she heard us talking in the beginning. Definitely not recommended. Horrible place! No owner should ever do anything of this sort.

After reading the reviews below, I guess I am not surprised I had a similar experience. I bought my dress from this store in September of 2014 for my September 2015 wedding. I also had to wait 1 hour after my appointment time to be seen and my sales rep spoke no English. I fell in love with a dress and bought it. I paid in full and was assured that it would be in by March. I called and they kept telling me it would be the next month and the next month. They finally scheduled my first fitting for August. I still had not gotten a sure answer that my dress had arrived. Fast forward to my first fitting, owner called me day two days before to let me know the dress hand not yet arrived. I ordered almost a year ago! She assured me it would be in the next day. She called me the day before my fitting to let me know it came in the wrong color and that she was ordering the right one and was having it shipped overnight and that she would cover the cost of my alterations. I advised her that I was going out of town the next day and this was not convenient for me as I live an hour away. They won’t do fitting on the weekends. Thank god I didn’t drive down in the morning right away because guess what she still didn’t have my dress. My fiancé and I waited around until she called so we could go do my fitting and then leave to go out of town. She finally called mid day and I went for my fitting. They weren’t super apologetic about the situation either.
I just picked up my dress on Friday with the final alterations. I was so glad to get my dress out of there. I’m not sure why they run their business this way. Cash flow issues? The have beautiful dresses but the service is down right terrible. Why cause extra stress to an already stressful event that is quite costly.

I just came into town and picked up my sisters dress. I asked an older lady in there for «Macky» because I was told I had to get the dress from her and she was the owner. We had a few Things to work out before being able to leave. 1– my sister needed to decided between two veils so she was accommodating by allowing me to take both veils so that the bride can decide. 2– there was a cash refund involved. I was just told what the amount was, however there was a Discrepancy between the amount I was told and the amount that I received. She spoke to my sister and finally agreed to a certain amount. While getting the funds she went on a pretty random and unnecessary rant about the bride to me. I thought it was pretty unprofessional and it surprised me seeing as she was so accommodating moments ago. Since I was the middle man solely there to pick up the dress, I really felt uncomfortable and super awkward when she said the things that she said. Nevertheless the dress looked beautiful and I was able to take both the dress and the refund with me.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE. This is THE worst bridal stores I have ever been to. Kendall trash. I had made an appointment here for 3 pm. I was running 5 minutes late so I called them at 2:50 to let them know. When I first arrived literally at 3:05 pm, nobody greeted me or asked me if I wanted everything. The second I said I didn’t speak Spanish was probably also when they started treating me disrepectfully. A woman walked in with coffee in her hand and told me that my appt would start soon. I asked her after waiting 30+ minutes whether I could go look at the dresses myself since I was doing nothing. She simply showed me where they were and went back to sit down at the front desk. After I went through all the dresses myself, I asked her whether someone could help me try on dresses. She said that there were more women than attendants working and it had to be one on one so no, I had to wait since I arrived late and a walk in arrived at 2:45. I asked her how they would have taken on another girl if they knew I was coming and my appointment was supposed to be at 3 pm anyway. The girl got there BEFORE I told them I was running late. She said there was a shortage of women working that day even though they knew how many appointments they had booked. I asked to speak with the manager and the woman ended up telling me that she was the owner. She was very rude, did not offer to help show me dresses, did not offer to put me in a fitting room, NOTHING. She is running the worst business and does NOT know how to give good customer service. She probably does not even care because she continues to get Kendall trash to shop there anyway. I would rather pay MORE money for a dress than give Brides of Florida ANY money.

I visited Brides of Florida in May 2014 for my Jan 2015 wedding. My appt was/​w Nilvia. Although polite, I felt rushed. Towards the end of appt, she asked, «Well are you going to buy a dress or not?» Although I found it a bit blunt, I knew exactly what I wanted and ordered the Maggie-​Chesney gown. However, I was losing weight. Nilvia stated that they had in house alterations that would take care of any changes. She gave me a great price for the dress and included a rented headpiece, sash, and veil with a flat rate for alterations of $ 150. She told me they would order the sash in ivory instead of white (didn’t happen-​it was the same white sash). I also found a veil with a floral appliqué to rent. I took a picture of myself.
I then got a call in Oct that my dress was in. At 1^st fitting, my dress had to be altered. I am 5’4″, so I went from 155 lbs to 140 lbs. I only dropped one dress size. Yet, through my fittings, they could not get the alterations right. At first fitting, Mackie said that the lower half of the dress had to be altered «about» one inch. She grabbed my dress from the back near the zipper and told the seamstress. There were no pins, nothing. Then they no longer had the veil with the floral appliqué available. I emailed Nilvia a pic and asked if they could order another one since they would be continually renting it. I then spoke with Mackie. She said, ‘No worries, that they had the lace in the store and could custom make it. At 2^nd fitting, there was no custom made veil. I reminded Nilvia who said they would make it. By the 3^rd, they had done something very strange to the sweetheart neckline by taking in the front of the dress in my bust (sort of like a triangle shape above each breast). I was in so much pain and felt as if the dress was stabbing my chest. They told me, «No worries, they could undo it.» By the 4^th fitting, the dress was back to its original shape on the top and still a little too loose on the bottom. My butt looked flat. They told me that if I took it in on the sides, my hips would look too large. I also just picked another veil as the custom veil they promised was never made.
Then I suffered a knee injury and had to change my shoes. I called Nilvia who (thankfully) sounded understanding and I came in for a 5^th fitting. As they pinned the bottom, I showed them how the top was still loose, they agreed to take it in. On last fitting, everything FINALLY fit well. Two weeks before my wedding, my hairdresser told me the plastic comb on rented veil wouldn’t work. I called Brides of Florida and spoke to the young receptionist. She reassured me that it was metal. However, I didnt trust them. So I went to David’s Bridal and was able to buy a matching veil TWO DAYS before wedding! Then the day before my wedding came. I checked my dress which appeared in good condition, with my slightly off color rented sash. I then looked at the veil. Sure enough, the comb was plastic! Not only that, the veil had little holes all throughout !!! I was so relieved that I made back up arrangements for headpiece and veil!
On the day of my wedding, everyone helped me in the dress and during ‘getting ready’ pics, I heard a snap in the back of my dress. I asked my matron of honor, «What’s that?» And she said, it was the camera. I told her to check the dress– the clasp on the back had broken!!! Thankfully, the dress had an inner corset, zipper and buttons but the zipper was riding down a bit. And then the worst happened. During the reception, my matron of honor and wedding planner had to bustle my dress three times as it would come undone as I danced! I was holding my dress for half of the reception and thankfully, I had purchased a flattering reception dress from Macy’s and changed into that dress. Was it not for my lack of trust and back up planning, I would have been a very unhappy bride in a dress falling apart at my reception. The lesson learned here? LO BARATO SALE CARO! Meaning, what is inexpensive turns out being expensive. If I had purchased the dress in a salon with a reputable seamstress and with veils for sale, I could have saved myself much anxiety and money. And the only reason why I give this place two stars is because they do have a beautiful selection of dresses. But that is the designers, not them. Although they are not inadvertently rude, they portray a sense of service of not caring about their brides, just making money with as little alteration as possible. I know that they probably were rolling their eyes at me as I became insistent but for good reason– look at the end result. FUTURE BRIDES BEWARE!

This store gave me the worst experience I have ever had at any place I have ever been to. First of all, the owner is super difficult, disrespectful to my family when we had to meet, and a complete liar. Thankfully the ladies that work there made it a tad more pleasant, but it was terrible. Two weeks before my wedding, they over charged my bridesmaids and were rude to them, and somehow my dress was ripped on the day of my fitting and I was told it was going to be replaced (which it wasn’t) and I noticed that the dress was stitched. I didn’t make a fuss because I already knew what type of people we were dealing with and obviously as a bride I was already stressed out with everything all together. The day of my wedding I found makeup stains on the bottom of my dress which we never touched once it was taken home and I am sure that it was by the ladies that fixed the dress at the store because we hadn’t removed the dress from the bag until the day of the wedding. And by the end of the night, my dress was falling apart because they failed to make what is supposed to be my «perfect dress». Don’t get me wrong this place has very beautiful dresses, but it’s customer service over anything because they are not the only store in Miami that has beautiful dresses. Unfortunately I had to learn that the hard way, so I really recommend to not go here to find your wedding dress! David’s bridal would have made my experience 30 million times better and I’m sure it will be for you too.

Beautiful store located in Kendall, easy to find, and plenty of parking. Maggie and her team were so helpful! We visited here in our quest to find my wedding dress. Unfortunately, I ended up ordering a dress from a different store… but would have ordered a dress from this store if they carried what I wanted. We had an early appointment on Friday so it was not that crowded which was nice. They had a wide variety of dresses and were extremely helpful. I liked that they have VERY reasonable alterations fee. The store was lovely and the overall customer experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend brides visit Brides of Florida to shop for their dresses.
