Our academic model is designed to close the achievement gap facing low-​income students, and aggressively accelerate learning once they’re caught up to prepare them for success in college and life. By avidly studying the highest performing schools across the country (schools that consistently defy the odds and lead low-​income students to stellar academic achievement), we’ve learned what makes these schools successful, and will implement the common best practices to bring a fundamentally different type of school to our families in Miami. By leveraging an extended school day, highly effective instructional staff, rigorous academic curriculum, meaningful family engagement and high expectations, we will prepare our students for success in college.
