While the first day was rained out, the 2nd day of the 2nd annual Brews Blues and BBQ was a quaint little affair — drew in an interesting combination of true Homesteaders, Miamians and everything in between. It must have been better than the organizers expected, because Budweiser had to bring in 2nd truck of brews. There were also only 2BBQ stands(must have been because 2 was a theme?) — coulda had more BBQ. I’m going to do this a 2nd time, hopefully with the same gorgeous weather as we had yesterday and great bands!

For the 1st annual Blue’s Brew’s and BBQ, I would say this festival went off without a hitch, albeit small, I think next year, it will double or triple in size. with more customers and vendors. The Blue’s musicians were hot, but so was the South Florida weather. There were only three BBQ vendors that signed up for the event; however, it was the Big Pig that one my heart, cause I like my ribs some what dry and fall off the bone tender, and that’s the way I like it. The prices were cheap, beers were $ 3.00, and the standard three rib sampler was $ 6.00. The people at Fruit and Spice Park were nothing but nicer, and a $ 5.00 admission certainly wasn’t a killer. I’m glad I went this year as next year I suspect it will be a lot more crowded.
