Bianco Gelato

For once, I ate gelato that lives up to the name. As such, it is easily the best gelato I ever tried. I ordered the Nicollo (hazelnut) and a little pistachio. Both flavors are excellent but the Nicollo is definitely my favorite.

The owner (I didn’t get his name) is the sweetest most patient person ever. I really loved their selections, their health options, how clean the place was — just everything.

The only gelato spots I knew were in South Beach so after recently moving to the grove I decided to follow Unilocal advice and try this spot. Wow. Pistachio, coconut, cookies and cream, coffee, and salted caramel is what we tried there. All were out of this world. I’m not one to put much in the organic label, but this really is a step above the rest. By far my favorite new spot in Miami. Parking can be a pain there which is the only setback.

Let me tell you how much I LOVE this place!
I was walking around The Grove with my friend from out of town and we stumbled across this piece of heaven! It’s simple yet beautifully decorated.
Now let’s talk about the gelatos and sorbets. I tried so many it took me 10 minutes to decide what I wanted!
— almond is heavenly (made with almond milk)
— vegan chocolate was so decadent (perfect pair with the almond)
— pineapple mint is so refreshing and perfect for any day
— the raspberry and strawberry sorbets were perfection!
— and the waffle cones are available gluten free! Do you know how long I have had waffle cones? Yes!!!
And Monique is the BEST! So warm, welcoming and sweet! Absolutely love her and the owner! They have a wonderful concept, perfect products, and the service was phenomenal!
Trust me, it doesn’t get any better than this! Everything was good, they have gluten free, vegan and all organic options. The quality is unmatched. I can’t wait to make this place my regular go-​to for my sweet tooth fix!

Bianca Gelato is the only cream I have ever tasted that didn’t make me feel bad after. I didn’t feel guilty. I felt fresh. That’s how I should feel since that’s how they promote themselves being No GMO, all natural ingredients, no preservatives.
I had two flavors, the Straciatella and the Mint. Both were awesome options. The mint is my all time favorite flavor and they have made the Best Mint I have ever had! It felt like real mint and I really felt like i brushed my teeth it was awesome. It you are ever in coconut grove, this is the treat to have.

The customer service was entertaining and I liked that they gave us two waffle cone circles for a large size cup since we were sharing it between the two of us. However, the gelato was very meh.
The employee thought that we were being indecisive after trying two of their flavors, so she kept giving us more and more samples of the all flavors. In reality, I was contemplating whether or not to order anything — even though we came to Coconut Grove specifically to have dessert at Bianco Gelato. The pistachio gelato was grainy and melty. It did taste like they use real pistachios in the mix, but the texture was not great. We tried at least six flavors and they were all kind of lumpy. Not smooth like regular gelati. Is it the organic sugar or something else funky that is messing with the texture? Finally, she gave us a sample of the hazelnut, which she said was her favorite flavor. Luckily, this flavor was the least grainy of all, so we ordered it along with stracciatella. They were just okay.
I’m all for using organic & fresh ingredients, but I was pretty disappointed. Maybe it was an off day?

Love the food and the atmosphere, and the organic sourcing. But doing gelato the «healthy» way? A bit self-​aggrandizing, if you ask me. A bit holier-​than-​thou. Really? Make my decadence less decadent? How dare you? I just want my delectable dairy/​cream/​egg fueled fever dream to be earth-​friendly and taste like it.
But these people have their hearts in what they do and I sincerely applaud that.
Minus a star for the abrasive pricing (almost $ 4 for a popsicle, yow) and trying to pass off chia seeds as «healthy sprinkles.» I could do without that, thank you very much!
You’re not fooling anyone.
Try the avocado-​nut popsicle (I’m a hypocrite) for something new, or their nutella-​chocolate to get your motor runnin’.

Very Good Gelato in Miami. I personally have had better in NYC (Amorino & Grom) and in Italy (obviously), but for Miami, this place is very good,
I got a half-​Pistachio and half-​Chocolate. The pistachio was pretty good, but not necessarily the best, and the chocolate was much better.
This place is pretty good, and if you’re just finishing brunch or dinner at one of the restaurants in the Grove nearby, then this is a good spot to go to, to grab some gelato and walk around the neighborhood.
Very good spot overall.

This was melt in your mouth very creamy yet light gelato. They girl working the counter was super friendly and let me and my friends (group of ~9) try different flavors! I got the cookies and cream and coffee and it was sooooo good. Best fresh gelato I’ve ever had.
Only one small disappointment was that we got there at 10:15 and they close at 10:30 so they had already turned off their coffee machine so we couldn’t get the gelato in espresso dessert that our friend had previously had and raved about!

Super good ice cream and vegan, got the salt caramel and the cookies and cream on a waffle, my BF got the pistachio and milk chocolate on the little cone. It was really really good.

Both Bianco Gelato and Buffalo Tigers Everglades Airboat Tours are two things I will miss the most about my trip in Miami & Key West. Overall Bianco Gelato is definitely one of the two best (the other one is Bobboi Natural Gelato in La Jolla —
), if not the best, gelatos I’ve EVER tried.
All gelatos are made from GMO-​free ingredients, organic fruits, and antibiotic-​free milk (daily-​free options are also available). Staff was VERY friendly and we even had few minutes of small talk about annual graffiti artist gathering in Wynwood («Miami Art Basel» festival — occurs every year during the first week of December). I sampled couple flavors and all of them were EXCELLENT! The only flavor I didn’t like was granita vegan almond (too watery and it didn’t taste right).

Pistachios and Nocciola (creamy hazelnut) + waffle chip — $ 5 for small: Not overly creamy to the point of becoming too sweet … a little bit of sorbet-​like iciness texture, yet still retained smoothness and strong flavors from the beginning to the end … AND super generous portion (see picture below). What a mind-​bogglingly good gelato! Here’s a solid 5-​star from someone who tried over 50+ gelato & ice cream shops in Los Angeles. I fully support a second Bianco Gelato store in Los Angeles!

What a hidden treasure in coconut grove! I wanted to have a little bit of all the flavored they had. I settled down for coconut grove (coconut), straciatella, and Hazelnut.
Organic ingredients, non-​dairy ingredients such as almond milk and rice milk, grass fed cow milk which is thick and creamy and began options; need more reasons to visit this ice cream shop?!
A must go establishment!

Very cute dessert shop located in Coconut Grove. Their desserts are all handmade, non-​GMO, with some desserts accommodating to dietary restrictions (vegan or lactose-​free). I went twice in one week, and I enjoyed my desserts very much!
On my first visit, I shared a Bianco Cup with 2 friends. The dessert consists of three scoops of your choice of gelato, topped with Bianco crumbles and homemade whip cream. The gelato is so rich and creamy, we devoured the cup really fast! The best part is the crumbles, I’m not sure what they are but it adds a dry, crunchy texture to the smooth gelato.
The second time I visited, I tried the frozen pops. You will find them in the small freezer on the right side of the store. They have a changing list of flavors, but you need to hunt inside to find the one you want. I looked for a good amount of time until I found the very last dark chocolate watermelon pop. It was so refreshing and not as rich as the gelato.
Service here is hit or miss. They seem to only have one worker present at one time, even during what I would assume are busy hours. The first visit, the man at the counter took both my gelato order and my friend’s gelato order, but for some reason, he only made my dessert and served it at our table. He then took five other customer orders, customers who walked in after us, and never made my friend’s order until he went back to the counter and stood there for him to make it. Both visits, the inside of the store is usually dirty or cluttered. Cleaning the table tops would be difficult when you only have one worker running the store.
Other than that one incident, it’s still a really delicious and charming dessert shop.

Giving 3 stars — the gelato and yogurt are pretty good and the service is great. However, it is expensive for what it is and nothing to write home about.

I’ve found my new favorite ice cream and gelato spot! This is a cute little place in the heart of coconut grove. The décor is very cute. The employees were nice and helpful, giving us samples of the flavors. The best thing about this place and what makes it stand out is that it carries organic, non gmo, sugar free, and vegan sweets.
I tried the coconut, which was filled with bits of coconut. I also tried the hazelnut and it was very rich. I also loved the salted caramel, scrumptious! My favorite by far was the raspberry, so delish and refreshing!

How could anyone not rate this place five stars? Absolutely amazing gelato, the best I have had since I’ve been to Italy.
I did not even know I could get gelato as good as this in the United States. This must be run by somebody from Italy who really ran a good gelato place. No joke!
I am still impressed. I had the hazelnuts and coconut ice cream, two different flavors! How refreshing and beyond refreshing how absolutely delectable.

PERFECTION. This shop is a hidden gem in the heart of Coconut Grove. My friend has been wanting to take me here for months, and now I know why! Decorated with white walls and chairs, Bianco lives to it’s name!
For $ 5 you can have two scoops of ice cream in a medium cup. After trying a few different flavors, my heart was set on hazelnut & the almond gelato. Wow! My mouth went to heaven and came back. I have never had almond ice cream until today, and I never want to go back. Absolutely delicious!
Bianco offers a variety of delicious and sugar-​free/​non-​dairy/​gluten-​free options. Baked goods, coffee, and popsicles are other delicious bites you can get your hands on. Mmm! I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

This shop has everything down perfect. My favorite pizza guy actually told me about this place so I had to stop by. I’m glad I did. The place was kinda busy for a Sunday night. Makes sense after tasting their gelato.
Mio amore! I had the Italian Chocolate. For about $ 5 I’d say it’s worth it. Also you can feel good in the fact that they are organic and all natural.

Wow! This place actually turned me into a gelato fan! Bianco which means for White in Italian is all decorated inside with white walls and chairs. It’s an adorable looking shop which offers Italian homemade gelato, ice creams pops, coffee, cookies, and more, they claim it’s all organic and natural. They even have a table for kids to play if you want to go with your kids.
Perfect spot for a Gelato date as they have cute tables outside. The place has a very cool and cozy feel. My fiancé got the pistachio ice gelato which blew me away!!! The friend who took us to this spot happen to be Italian and he mentioned to us everything else he has tried is excellent. I look forward to coming back here! Enjoy!
