Bayside Marketplace

This is a great place to experience a whole array of options: dining, shopping and boating! There are so many options food wise as well as shopping. The only downside are the public bathrooms, they are never clean and smell bad.

Beautiful place! Harbor side views where you can grab a tour boat, a bite from one of the many restaurants or the food court. There is shopping galore, and other tourist attractions. Parking can be a pain (expensive), but that’s all of downtown Miami.

This place is perfect if you’re hungry, want to grab a drink, or want to shop. If you’re not, then it might be nice to walk around for a bit and check out a few scenes. If you’re not in the mood for any of that then there’s not really much to do.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The market place is big enough to wander around– hip enough to find new places to tackle a snack or Drink specials near the docks were ships leave in the day. Live music all around, a variety of shops and stores to browse through, but most importantly it kills time when you are in the craze of Miami vibe. We have brought family down here after eating a great meal just to walk off the extra calories and take some fun picture together. Suggestion is look for the affordable parking spots to not get tangled in the never ending flow of traffic that is located right across the street and just walk the few extra blocks :)

I just Love coming here because of the options. Food, stores, the water, music, multicultural etc! Only thing I’m giving it a 3 star is because if you manage this place you need to pay attention to those bathrooms. There are not that many. Stinks and are unclean even though there is cleaning personal always there.
The people that go there are from everywhere and there are several options for things to do. I’ve been here many many times we already did the boat tours and some other things. The Hard Rock Café is always a win and the live music in the weekends adds a good touch to the outdoor mall.
We had mango margaritas and Piña coladas and it was really good. Sometimes gets too crowded specially this time of the year that high season is coming and summer and also whenever there are events at the American Airlines arena. The parking is ridiculous overpriced when there are events going on at the triple A. So try to find parking somewhere around there are plenty of meters and pay by phone.

There’s a reason why this place is listed as a gem in the Miami AAA tour book and major attraction of Miami on travel websites. It’s an excellent place to get a good feel of Miami’s Cuban culture of shopping with restaurants amongst the Cuban locals and tourist. Plus there are views from restaurants such as chili’s that offer nice views of the harbor while you watch tour boats cruise by when you eat outside on the patio.
A bonus is that parking is reasonable in the bayside market parking lot ($ 12 total for 4 hours) and the prices at the shops are reasonable. You can also find decent beachy clothes and souvenirs to take home.
This place is a must go to spot whenever you’re in Miami!

I kinda enjoy coming here but hate it at the same time. I like the Champs and the Food Stalls upstairs. It´s the typical tourist trap where you can get whatever souvenir to take home.
The Food Stalls are great though. Been enjoying that Orange Chicken and the Philly Cheesesteak. The Champs has some great Caps. If you´re there you´ll have to get a fresh juice from one of the vendors there. Now the bad thing about the Bayside Marketplace is that it has too many crackheafs begging for change. Have seen some strange people here before and wouldn´t suggest that parents take their kids once the sun is gone.

Love the entertainment, diversity of restaurants, shopping and atmosphere at bayside. never a dull moment, with the he hundreds of tourist that flock through… great place for people watching. The location is also very centralized. Close proximity to many entertainment places and concert halls. Parking is not too bad, if you’re willing to pay the price on certain nights when events are ongoing and other nights the cost is fairly reasonable. Otherwise the metro mover and rail as well as taxis, über, buses and the trolley are endless and runs the majority of the day and pretty consistent. Best of all is the metro mover and the trolley are free! The marketplace is also children friendly so you can bring the entire family for an outing!

I really like Bayside. The clothing stores and restaurants aren’t as original as they used to be, more chains, but it is a fun place to go and great people watching! There is also a place to check your bags (In the front, near the Island Queen boat tour desk for $ 5 each which is awesome if you’re killing time before a flight, after a cruise.

Since Bayside Marketplace is located downtown and is basically next to the American Airlines Arena, «special» parking rates are common. ~$ 25 flat. Normal rates are about $ 9 for two hours and climbs to $ 20 for overnight parking.
Despite being right by the water, this outdoor mall has no airflow in the summer. The heat and humidity just linger. The many cigarette smokers make it that much worse.
On the first floor, the booths selling touristy knick knacks block any breeze. If you want to catch a break, then the upstairs food court seemed well air-​conditioned. The food court employees are eager to provide you with chicken samples like at Dadeland or Dolphin Mall.
There are a few chain stores like Victoria’s Secret, Express, Gap, sneaker stores, etc. There are many non-​chain stores as well.
So-​so full and quick service places to eat are aplenty. Hooters, Bubba Gump, Chili’s, Hard Rock Café, Bavaria Haus, and the upstairs mall food court are just a few.
Apparently boat tours to see fancy houses on the nearby islands are popular as well as night-​time «disco» dance boat rides. The company Island Queen Tours seems to reign supreme. They have a well lit ticket stand and it can get busy. We had a regretful experience with how a different boat tour company, Captain Jimmy’s Fiesta Cruises, is run by the owner so I wouldn’t recommend them.
Overall, it’s a very touristy place and overall okay place to spend a few hours. The most entertaining parts of the marketplace are the open air bars and the karaōke that always draws a crowd.

Bayside Marketplace is basically Miami’s version of Pier 39 (located in San Francisco) and it is pretty much your typical tourist trap.
Parking: Simply awful. Those parking lots on the middle of Biscayne Blvd? $ 7 for 1^st two hours. The rates for Bayside Marketplace’s automated parking facility is $ 7 for 1^st hour and $ 9 for 1^st two hours. Using some of parking lot locating skills I’ve learned in Los Angeles, I was able to find this somewhat shady lot for a flat rate of $ 5 until 12 AM (near the intersection of 5^th St. & Biscayne Blvd).
While you will have to stroll through various shops before you can reach the edge of Pier 39, Bayside Marketplace built their shops around the marina. There are balconies on the 2^nd floor where you can step out and witness the gorgeous ocean view. Other than great live music and one interesting shop (Effusion Gallery), there isn’t anything interesting about this shopping mall. A few months ago I was looking at places to go to in Miami. I came upon some pictures of Bayside Marketplace. It looked pretty cool so I bookmarked it on Unilocal.
My sister and I visited the area a day after our cruise. It happened to be the same day as the iHeart Radio Fiesta Latina. We weren’t too impressed with the selection of stores but we did like the trinkets that were being sold outside by vendors in a row of tents. The view of the yachts and cruise ships in the harbor weren’t half bad either. When the fiesta kicked off we sat down to watch the band and the crowd dance to a selection of Latino songs and Beyoncé’s popular hits.
Basically the layout of the area is quite nice, the waterfront views are great, but the selection of stores are just decent.

When in Miami, tourists come here. That being said, it is a tourist trap for sure. This is a pretty nice and huge shopping center with indoor and outdoor shops and a food court and restaurants. There is a pretty good view of the port and cruises that come and go. Given the size, it is not as crowded as I expected. I have never bought anything here. I actually have never even checked the shops the two times I’ve been here because I already know that the items will be overpriced.
There is also live music outside with the crowd getting pretty engaged by singing and dancing along.

All l can say is this mall is all that and then some!
It’s on a bus line. The S and several other routes come straight to this location. They run on a regular. The fare was $ 2.25 per person. The mall is near the Marina so you can get on the tour cruise to see the Homes of the rich and famous. This is the hangout spot for shopping and eating and drinking and everything. They have a free band performing on the weekends and everybody seems to enjoy the people and atmosphere. I know l dld. There are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from you can’t go wrong. Omg l was hanging out with my girlfriend and we had such a good time!
I would definitely return if in the Miami area. :)

Bayside Market is a great place to grab a few souvenirs or perhaps a quick bite to eat. Bayside Marketplace provides great access to surrounding shops and eateries. Bayside Marketplace should be on everyones visit list if your visiting Miami.
Also, if your planning to tour the different town in Miami, the HOP –On– HopOff bus is located in this location as well.

This mall is a popular spot for tourists and locals. Local families usually visit on the weekends when they have a live band playing on stage in front of the bay. The always play well known songs ranging from salsa, merengue, current radio music, and the popular songs from the 70’s-90’s. At times you’ll see the senior citizens dancing in front of the stage. They’ll do the electric slide to every song, it’s so cute. Lol.
The mall has a lot of stores and restaurants. They have express, wet seal, foot locker, and a bunch of other stores. Restaurants include chilis, hooters, Hard rock café, cuban, italian, and others along the side facing the water. They also have a food court on the second floor.
If you get tired of the mall scene, walk to the back to see a beautiful view of the bay. If you continue to walk to the right, you’ll reach Bayfront park. There they have a big fountain, and chairs in front of the bay. Really nice view.
I will continue to go to this mall, especially to eat right before a Heat game!!!

I liked the atmosphere here and all the little quirky shops. The food court had really tasty food and was inexpensive. The harbour is cool and allows for some nice photos. A cool place to visit.

I really have not been here since I was a kid. I guess since I brought my friend who was visiting from Australia here, it was OK. It’s nicer at night for sure. It’s great because they have a wonderful restaurant, Los Ranchos, which I have always loved and it did not disappoint.
There is a pretty marina that this establishment is built around that offers tourist rides on boats. This includes scenic rides over to the celebrity islands and also other things like jet boats and the like. Lots of fun stuff.
At the end of Bayside, when you go outside, there’s a beautiful view of downtown. Let’s not forget that one of Miami’s main attractions will be built very close by, SkyRise. All in all, this is an exciting venue but I would not go out of my way to go here if you’re only in Miami or Miami Beach for a few days.

I have mixed feelings about Bayside Marketplace.
On one hand, I believe it probably have seen better days. Lately, it looks outdated and «touristy trapsy». This place need a serious renovation.
But, it is super close to downtown, the Port of Miami, American Airlines Arena, and they do have nice options for dinning and drinking, such as Hooter, Hard Rock Café, Bubba Gump, and a whole bunch of bars. Also, its right on the water, so you get a nice view. Pretty much every evening there is live music in a little stage next to the daiquiri bar.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, there are a ton of nicer places for you to go in Miami, but maybe its your first time here, you dont have a car, you are in the area, and you happen to be hungry or thirsty, Bayside is a viable option.

I have got to take a vacation to come back to this place.
I found Deal’s and more deal’s. Great atmosphere very friendly Service.
With time to kill before our flight we had time to walk around.
Walking outside was very nice and seeing all kinds of boats.
After a great vacation this a nice place to walk around a relax outside.
This market has all kinds of things that you could be looking for before you go on a cruise and after (for me) you can find all kinds of gifts, Sandal’s, dresses, hat’s, makeup, all kinds of men’s wear, bag’s, you name it its hear.
You can just spend the day chilling out.
I will be back again to got more. And let me tell you in the food count area you will have lots to choose from.
Next time I was told to come at night.

Der Bayside Marketplace befindet sich Downtown Miami direkt am Wasser und ist eine Art Einkaufszentrum mit Restaurants.
Einkaufszentrum ist hier aber schon etwas übertrieben, da es ich bei vielen Shops um Geschäfte handelt, die man als Touri eher weniger besuchen würde.
Es gibt gefühlt eine Handvoll Läden, die als shoppender Europäer interessant sein könnte, den Rest kann man aber getrost vernachlässigen.
Nachteil der Anlage ist ebenfalls, dass diese offen gebaut wurde, das heisst das man im Sommer keine Abkühlung hat und die Hitze überall ist.
Interessant hingegen ist die Gastro-​Auswahl.
Als großes Highlight für mich ist natürlich Bubba Gump.
Ich kannte es schon aus New York und auch hier war es wieder gut.
Des Weiteren befindet sich auf dem Areal noch ein Hard Rock Café und ein Hooters und diverse Restaurants und Bistros, die ich so vom Namen her nicht kannte, die aber einen guten Eindruck gemacht haben.
Direkt an der Wasserkante befindet sich noch eine kleine Bühne, mit einem größeren Barbereich davor.
Hier gibt es Abends Live-​Music. Mit den passenden Cocktails dazu, kann das schon ganz entspannend sein.
Bubba Gump ist meine Empfehlung, wenn man sich hier in der Nähe befindet, ansonsten muss man nicht unbedingt diese Mall besuchen.

mit viel licht und viel schatten!!! schön ist es gewesen, an einem sonntag da rumzubummeln und der livemusik zuzuhören, zu bummeln und nach souvenirs zu stöbern. um gezielt zu shoppen muss man aber nicht wirklich dort hin!

Es wurden neben drittklassigen Geschäften auch noch Strassenhändler zugelassen, so stehen in den Gängen Männer mit Papageien herum und wollen Foto’s mit den Tieren und Dir verkaufen (selbst ein Babyalligator war da).
Diese 5. Klassige Markt/​Shoppingmall ist neben dem weltgrössten Cruiseharbour so gibt es hier genügend Laufkundschaft,…

Finger weg

Schöner Platz mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften in Miami, nicht Miami Beach. Von hier aus kann man allerhand Touren starten, von Fahrten durch die Biscane Bay über Speedboat Touren bishin zu Segway Stadtführungen.
Die Segaway Riverside Tour kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Hat Spass gemacht.

Endlich mal eine andere Art von Mall ! Die halboffene Bauform hat ihren Reiz und die Läden sind ein wirklich bunter Mix ! Einzig der Foodcourt machte einen verwahrlosten und düsteren Eindruck !

Fantastic shopping mall with many nice and good restaurants and souvenir shops. More over you will find access to the water taxi, Big Bus boat connection, Speedboat etc. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. Close to American Airline Arena (Miami Heat & Concerts)

Un mall sans grand intérêt

Eine Ansammlung von vielen Ess– und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Im Grunde genommen ein guter Start für jeden Touristen, da man hier den ersten Kontakt mit amerikanischem Essen, und Mengen, sowie Preisen bekommt. Ebenso gibt es die Möglichkeit Ausflüge zu buchen und an der Promenade zu spazieren.

Haben hier einen ganzen Tag verbracht … Echt schön zum schlendern — allerdings touri Preise, sxhnäppchen macht man wo anders ! Unbedingt eine Boots Tour mitmachen !

Die Bayside-​Mall ist eine halboffene Mall und liegt direkt am Hafen von Miami, zum Kreuzfahrtterminal, geht es über die Brücke, zu Fuss ca. 7 Minuten.
Wie in allen amerikanischen Malls gibt es auch hier einen Foodcourt in dem man günstig essen kann und eine Vielzahl von Gerichten angeboten bekommt. Empfehlen können wir den Italiener und das Japanische Essen im 2. Stock.
Besonders lecker war auch HOOTERS. Die Mädchen sind nett anzusehen und das Essen echt lecker — vorsicht bei den scharfen Gerichten — die sind wirklich scharf.
Am Wochenende ist Bayside der Ort in Miami Downtown um auszugehen, man wirft sich in Schale und spaziert durch die Mall geht essen und kann bis spät shoppen, viele Geschäfte haben dann noch auf.
Am Mittag kann man günstig hier Parken — die Lunchbreak (Mo bis Fr von 11:00 bis 15:00 Uhr für 3 Dollar (Stand 20.05.2010)

Miami Downtown bietet nicht wirklich viel. Deshalb ist der Bayside Marketplace empfehlenswert. Man kann hier etwas schnausen, shoppen oder eine Bootstour buchen.

Die Bayside Mall in unmittelbarer (zumindest für Mitteleuropäer, ca. 15 Min. zu Fuss vom Freuzfahrtterminal über eine lange Brücke über die Bay) Nähe des Kreuzfahrtterminals gelegen, läd zum Shoppen ein.
Hier findest man alles was man haben möchte und dazu für alle, die sich dann stärken wollen und müssen auch entsprechend viele Bars und Restaurant. In vielen Einrichtungen gibt es auch W-​LAN für alle die es nicht sein lassen können noch schnell einmal den Preis zuvergleichen mit dem in der Heimat oder auch mal schnell die Mails abzurufen.
Die Bayside Mall besteht aus 5 verschiedenen Gebäuden meist 2^stöckig und offen gebaut und liegt direkt gegenüber der AA Arena wo u.a. die Miami Heat Basketball speilen.
Hinzukommt die super Lage direkt am Hafen, einem Sporthafen an dem man auch gemütlich sitzen kann.
Wer sich vor einem Besuch über die Geschäfte dort informieren mag, schaut einfach auf der Homepage nach, dort findet man alle in der Mall befindlichen Geschäft. Ebenso werden auf der Seite einige Hotels in der unmittelbaren Nähe angeboten bzw. empfohlen. Sollte man tatsächlich nur wegen des Shoppings dort hin wollen.
Viel Spaß beim Geld ausgeben, es lohnt sich zum Teil auch wirklich vom Preis her.
