Best German Food & Beer.

History

Established in 2015.

Bavaria Haus Miami, featuring the progressive Bavarian cuisine of chef Mike Smerda, offers a contemporary menu inspired by the rich and diverse culinary culture of Munich and Southern Germany. Our dishes are made to order using fresh, natural ingredients and many even imported from abroad. We put a lot of pride into our food as well as into our beer. Bavaria Haus is an official partner of Hofbräu München, bringing you the finest import of authentic Hofbräu beer direct from the brewery in Munich. Enjoy our year round varieties such as Original, Dunkel and Hefe Weizen as well as our seasonal specialties like Oktoberfest, Maibock and Hefe Weizen Dunkel. We take great pleasure in providing you a memorable Bavarian tradition experience!

Business Owner

Owner Sasha Perisic was born and grew up in Munich, the son of Serbian parents who came to work in an electronics factory in Germany. He often visited Miami on vacation, and nine years ago decided to stay and opened Hofbrau Beer Hall at 934 Lincoln Rd. in Miami Beach.

Perisic opened Bavaria Haus in mid-April, partnering with the renowned Hofbrau Munchen Brewery founded in 1589 by Wilhelm V, Duke of Bavaria, to brew beer for Bavarian kings. He hired chef Mike Smerda, who is from Munich and has a master’s degree in culinary arts, had a TV cooking show in Germany and cooked for the FC Bayern Munchen soccer team. He came to Miami four years ago and started a catering company called Kafer (Ladybug).
