Bamboo Nails & Spa

I’m new to the area… Originally from NY and haven’t had luck with a nail place I like. Finally though I found this one and was taken care of by Mimi! Super happy and I keep coming back!!!

I love Bamboo Nails and Spa. I have been coming here for years and always have been treated nice and the nail technicians are all good. The prices are very reasonable and they always greet you with a smile.

Great service! Donna was great. She gave me an excellent Gel mani and pedi with an amazing massage. She took the time to make sure my nails were to my liking. Very professional and detailed. I will def. be returning. I highly recommend her and bamboo nails.

Zero rating. I went in and had wax done on my upper lip and chin and the lady burned me pretty badly. When I called and spoke to Mrs. Duong she told me they would credit my account and they never did, terrible customer service. The least they could have done was credit me for my services. Horrible people.

Ok service. I prefer senses lounge but if no appt are available this is my fast polish change spot. I bring my own Colour. All tech here are ok. It’s just loud.

Best/​first gel manicure I’ve had, Bella is the sweetest young lady and did and amazing job. May I mention she fixed a broken nail!

RUDE RUDE RUDE! … OK well we know that at this type of establishment it is to be expected that they will speak among one another in their language, and that we will wonder if they might be talking abou us. Well I went here yesterday. And as I sat down for a much needed pedicure as I’ve been in the middle of a huge move and dealing with 3 kids and a full time job… the lady who was working on my feet was talking about me. How do I know… because right after she broke out the super duper callus buffer machine (my feet were bad, what can I say?) her little ugly man friend in a blue striped polo, who she was talking to, proceeded to make a sign, right there in front of everyone. on big flourescent pink cardboard paper that said «special callous remover $ 5» and taped it up on the wall. all the while talking and snickering about me. I was so humiliated! And as I was getting my shoes on… the lady said «see beautiful» and her little ugly man friend… actually laughed out loud and very obviously at me! I walked right out without leaving a tip and I will NEVER GO BACK THERE. The only reason I went is because NAIL TRAP 5 was closing at 5:00 on sunday. I HIGHLY recommend that place. To their credit it was the night before a holiday at 6 pm without an appointment. It was only a polish change and they did fit me in after a 10 minute wait. Not the painful experience I had at Million Dollar Nails at London Square two weeks ago. Mimi (not sure her name) went back and forth btw me and the acrylics she was also doing. Literally back and forth. I apologized to the other woman bc I would have been annoyed. It was an adequate experience for $ 8 plus tip. I may go back, but not in love.

I have been coming here forever. There was a time I would literally drive from my apartment in miami beach to get my mani/​pedi done here. Henry has been doing my nails for 5 years or so. He is my little secret, or was. I legit feel like I’m cheating on him when I go elsewhere. He’s simply amazing. Hard time to keep him still, and he will prob stop midway to take care of a regular or to go and eat in the back, but after some time, you get used to it and love him regardless. This place is accommodating, clean, inexpensive, and always has new shipment of seasonal nail colors.

Bamboo nails always satisfies me. Cindy especially puts forth every effort and time to assure the best nail service experience. She is gentle and precise. Thank you bamboo nail! From a loyal client (Jennifer)

I used to love this place but recently there are a group of new hires who are so LOUD and are constantly talking to each other that I can’t relax or even get a word in to my manicurist. I am Cuban & of course have nothing against them, but it is SO annoying to be around loud, gossiping women while I’m trying to get a mani/​pedi.
As far as the work is concerned, I don’t have any complaints. But the ambiance is beginning to make me want to change nail spots.

I love this place. Not only are they opened everyday, but I never have to wait or make appointment. Henry does great with my nails and Michael does the best feet massages ever! People say mean things when they don’t get what they want because this place is super clean, they work fast which I love u hate sitting with someone that takes 2 hours just to get my nails done I have two boys I don’t have time I want to be in and out! These people know customer service and don’t give attitude like I usually get in other Asian nail salons.

My nail tech couldn’t have been more bored.

Update since last review:
1– I ask for Yane (she is awesome!) but get an appointment with her because everyone always wants her! She’s great. She speaks Spanish and a little English which is a plus for me since I speak Spanish so the language issue is no longer a problem.
2– Materials used now seem to be newer and much better since my first review. No complaints in that department anymore.
3– They seem to have more new polishes as well which was something I had an issue with before (they seemed to only have old– clumpy polishes or not too many seasonal options)
Overall, good experience.

Based on the phone conversation this place is terrible! I called too ask what services they offered along with pricing! Apparently if you aren’t coming in for an appointment don’t bother! My he gentleman on the phone was very pushy and rude which sucks because everyone’s reviews made me want to check this place out! Where is the customer service these days??? Might check it out just to see if it was just miscommunication… Stay tuned!

Decided to try this place out when my usual nail lady cancelled last minute. This place is 2 minutes from my house so I thought why not? Called and they gave me an appointment right away. Walked in & a nice young lady Mimi greeted me. I picked my colors out & it was off to my pedi.
Major plus for me, they have these awesome spa massaging chairs. Back massage while I get my feet done is a hellll yeah for me. She did a great job on my feet, getting all the cuticles out and let me say that she gave me a fabulous leg and foot massage. I could’ve fallen asleep right there in the chair with how relaxed I felt and they finish your little massage with a nice hot towel. Um heaven?
Now my hands were just as good. Great little massage, my hands are cuticle free and a fresh cost of polish!
Prices are pretty good for what you get. Mani & pedi is only $ 30 And I heard it’s like $ 3 more Thursday-​Sunday, so M-​W is the time to come.
All in all a good experience and I’d come back forsure. Plus they weren’t talking the whole time in another language which also makes me feel so uncomfortable, like they are judging me lol !

Love this place when it comes down to prices and how good of a job they do on your nails (atleast Linda does for me) it also has a nice spacious feel which is great. Only thing I must say is don’t let Linda do your eyebrows took off a whole chunk !

I know I am in the minority here, but I wouldn’t go back here if it were free. I don’t know; perhaps I’ve been spoiled by hygiene and attention to detail, but this place sure had neither.
I had a shellac mani done here a few months ago, and the first thing I noticed was that the technician used unsanitary tools on me. Even the towel my hands rested upon had, on its other side, a whole bunch of goop from (I assume) the previous client. When she was «finished», three of my nails were sticky and retained the shape of my fingerprint as I tried to unstick myself. I’ve never had that happen before in the countless shellac manis I’ve had before; part of the point is that they are dry and hard when you leave. (All of the UV light scares me to begin with, so I’d like it done right, and not have to worry about other hygiene issues).
The woman also offered to wax my eyebrows, so I took her up on it… the waxing room looked gross, and I’m 95% sure that she was re-​using an old stick to smear wax on my face, and she certainly double-​dipped… I shudder to think of all the places it had been before it got to me. Luckily I am disease-​free, but I won’t be returning. :(

Stopped by this nail place after being unable to get an appointment with my regular nail ladies. The place is pretty big & the wait was under 5 min even though it was busy for a Tues afternoon. On Mon, Tues & Wed they knock off a couple bucks for Mani & pedi (regular $ 30)
Kim was my technician & she was very gentle & pleasant. The staff usually speaks to ea other so I just browse my emails & enjoyed the massage chair to its full potential. Kim gave a really great leg massage & took her time. The place was clean & pretty quiet so it was relaxing today. The color was great on but she kind of didn’t go all the way with the clear coat and therefore I had to knock off one star for that. It just looks a little weird close up but she was very meticulous which I really like.
My toes are now beach ready with an awesome Essie coral hue! Thanks Kim.
This will now be my back up plan in case of an emergency :)
