b-​type is a Miami-​based design firm which concentrates on using laser cutting technology to produce innovative and dramatic pieces for both individual and commercial purposes. We offer a variety of material options you can choose from and combine to achieve maximum impact on your customers. This, in the end, allows us to cater to a large crowd, be it graphic designers, interior designers, business owners or simply for individual use.

History

Established in 2010.

b-​type design was born unlike most companies, due to the fact that it all started by accident. Fresh out of school, I knew that with any great work portfolio, a great business card had to follow. Thus I worked extensively on designs, colors, shapes, but in the end it was always enclosed in a 3.5×2 inch rectangle… alas it was always plain. So I decided, why not put my architecture experience to good use and create a new style of card? I decided to use a laser cutter to make my idea come to life. The result? A card that always grabbed the attention of its holder. And so I thought, if I can change how a business card operates, could I do it for other uses?

Business Owner

My family background is all design related, be it fashion design, architecture or art. This in turn helps explain my love for design and why I never thought about anything else.

To the surprise of many, I enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, and graduated in 2005. Thereafter, I started a small furniture company in my home town. This lasted for about a year, when I decided the time was more than right to fulfill my lifelong passion for architecture. After my move to Miami, I obtained my Master’s in Architecture in 2008, became a LEED AP in 2009 and decided to go into the graphic design business early 2010…
