Maybe I hyped up this place too much in my mind after reading good reviews, but this Thai to go counter was a disappointment for us. We ordered two entrées and the Thai sausage appetizer. The drunken noodles was the best of the three dishes. It is salty and oily comfort food. The red curry was okay. The chicken was chalky dry in both dishes. The red curry and coconut sauce was too sweet for me. I didn’t like the abundance of bell peppers either. If it weren’t for the peanuts, ginger slices, and herbs that went with the sausage appetizer I wouldn’t have known that it was an Asian dish. The employee, who took our order, also later handed us our food. When she gave us the plastic bag, we started to check the items. She nodded her head at us reassuringly, indicating that everything was there so we stopped checking. It wasn’t until we got back to the car that we realized that the small box was rice and not the appetizer we had ordered. They had forgotten to give us the appetizer. We walked back to the Kwik Stop for the missing appetizer and the employee was apologetic somewhat. When we finally opened our containers to eat, we realized that we were given chicken in both dishes instead of pork. I was okay with that because I didn’t mind trying how they prepared chicken — until we tasted it. The chicken was incredibly dry. I understand chicken breast dries out faster than other cuts of meat, but this was exceptionally dry. I later received an email receipt from square and it clearly said that we had both ordered pork. After an unwanted protein switch and missing appetizer in a relatively simple order, we’ll consider other Thai places when we have a craving.

Best kept secret in the grove. The Thai food is so authentic like what I had in Thailand. I recommend this place for takeout.

You won’t believe this place until you actually taste it. I found this restaurant on Unilocal and said no way. Its inside the Kwik stop? No way! So I tried it and it is really good. The menu is huge so I figured I would play it safe and order the pad Thai. Yummy! I had it with shrimp but would probably switch to chicken next time. I would go back and study the menu and order a bit more adventurously.

This place is the best! Fantastic for delivery of delicious Thai for a good price. I recommend this place to everyone in and near the Grove.

It’s a hole in the wall, but the food is amazing if you like thai food. Go there and ignore where it is and try the food. The reason I gave it for 4 star because there is no place to sit in the restaurant.

Walk inside the Kwik Mart. Turn right and head to a run down counter. Have some delicious Thai food. Ordered chicken Phai Thai and picked up a six pack of beer. What a great meal!

The term ‘hidden gem’ is used quite often but this place REALLY deserves it. Tucked away in the back corner of a convenience store, I almost walked away when i first saw it but i’m glad I didn’t. Fantastic food at great prices makes up the perfect value for takeout. Service is really good too! If you live in the area, this place is a must!

I discovered ATK through Grub Hub when I was babysitting my godson. I wasn’t expecting much, but boy was I wrong! Having been in Thailand, I can tell you the food was absolutely authentic. It was also fresh and delicious! I had it delivered and it arrived hot and fast! Highly recommended.

This was a oxymoron experience in eating. Five stars for outstanding and very authentic Thai food. This was a similar experience I had while traveling in Thailand and eating from food carts along the boulevard’s in Bangkok. This Thai kitchen is located in a convenience store. That’s nuts. It is strictly take out and is known mostly to the locals. That is how I was introduced to its existence. Lines are expected, and the dishes are made from scratch, so if you don’t call ahead of time, be ready for a 15 minute wait. And that wait is well worth it. The staff is fun and cheerful. It was a strange yet up beat experience, standing near the magazine rack while waiting for my gourmet, authentic Thai five star food. I was bicycle riding that evening, so it took my coconut veggie soup to the bay and enjoyed it on a dock watching the ships go by. Seriously perfect.

I have to start by saying I was pretty hesitant when I pulled in to pick up my order. I feel like there is some motherly warning about eating at convenience stores that I’m forgetting. But none the less the food was amazing! I ordered the pad Thai with chicken, red curry with beef and crunchy Kani. Everything was so fresh and well prepared. I think the red curry was one of the best I’ve ever had and am absolute must try. In the future I’d pass on the crunchy kani. They didn’t wow me and reminded me of fish sticks. Whatever hesitance you feeling just forget and try this place out! I’m positive you won’t regret it

Ordered take-out: 2 orders of spring rolls, a shrimp drunken noodle dish, and volcano chicken. The order was ready 10 minutes before predicted online, portions were ample and tasty, and the price was reasonable. NOTE: Look inside the Kwik-Stop convenience store to find the place!

While me and my co-workers pondered on what to get for lunch one afternoon, I was Unilocaling around and came across this gem. I recognized the name before because I saw it listed as number one on the Miami New Times«best curry in Miami», so I instantly became excited. Side note, I kind of pride myself on showing people who never tried Thai food my obsession with red curry. Happy to say the people I shown at the office loved the food here and crave it at least once a week! ATK is one of the hole in a wall kind, that makes it a little bit more memorable in my opinion. Located inside the kwik-e-mart,(next to the Subway and Last Carrot) lies Asian Thai Kitchen. My co-workers and I ordered pick up for their fried kani, red curry, pad thai, spring rolls, and mango sticky rice. Seriously one of the best curries I ever had. I am not crazy about pad thai usually, but this one was delicious! They make it super easy to order delivery/pick-up with Grub Hub and Unilocal ordering. The owner who checked my order out was adorable and super friendly. Overall, FLAVORFUL and consistently great thai food. I look forward to more lunches here with my boss and co-workers!

Holy cr@p. Super good! I ordered delivery. The BF got pad Thai with chicken(mild), I got the red curry with beef, medium spicy. It was so good! Everything tasted like real ingredients(no short cuts here) and the food tastes fresh. When I saw my BF’s pad Thai I felt a twinge of jealousy and reloaded because pad Thai is a favorite of mine. But after tasting my red curry I was very please with my decision. The coconut was so creamy. My only wish was they put more beef in. Over the prices were good and only a $ 3 delivery charge. *another Eat24 success.

Solid Thai food inside a convenience store in the Grove? Such an odd combination that thankfully works. I had this spot on my radar for a while and finally had the perfect excuse to check it out. After a long day of working, I was that kind of starving where you aren’t really in the mood for anything in particular because just food would hit the spot. I was a bit nervous walking inside the Kwik Stop not sure of what to expect, but figured the system out quickly. The friendly woman working the register recommended the chicken pad thai which sounded great to me. I also ordered some steamed shrimp shumai knowing I could eat this while I drive on the way home(did I mention I was REALLY hungry?). You can order the noodles to your preferred level of spice. For me, I went with medium and it was tolerable but would maybe even get hotter next time. It was a pretty nice portion and with the shumai on the side, I was able to save about half for the next day. They have two locations(this is Asian Thai Kitchen and Asian Thai Kitchen 2 is closer to downtown) and this is definitely a place to grab food and go which is why they deliver. It’s priced higher than cheap Chinese food but, in my opinion, the quality is worth it.

What a nice surprise: authentic, first rate Thai food in the back of a dumpy Quik Stop. I found this one on Unilocal out of necessity(we’re enduring a kitchen renovation), and I’m very happy I did, as all three dishes we took out were super: great Pad Thai, awesome Thai Basil, and a great Thai Beef Salad, too. This is a take-away counter whose food quality vastly surpasses its humble, shoddy surroundings. So if you can look beyond life’s rich pageant of characters who may pass by(the occasional drunk, some stragglers, too), this is a super find for quick Thai food to go, though I would take care to keep eyes open in the lot and the space generally. This is certainly not a spot from the cookie-cutter Pei Wei diner mold, and broadly, it’s probably the best Thai I’ve had in nine years in Miami, too. And, given the perennial openings and closings of poorer quality and much pricier restaurants just a block away on Commodore Plaza, there’s certainly a lesson here: great, reasonably priced food will bring in lines of people, even if the surroundings are a bit dodgy. A home run?: Seeing this superb Thai food counter land in a nicer, cleaner spot in the Grove in the future. That may be wishful thinking. For now, I’m very happy The Asian Thai Kitchen counter is here, and I’m sure I’ll be back for the great food.
