Owner Dee Hoult took her passion for people and dog training from hobby to career in 2005. In just six short years she’s got a staff that helps her help people and their dogs! Dee isn’t just a business owner, but her and her staff are animal advocates in the community too. Applause Your Paws does not use force or intimidation to train dogs. We pride ourselves in being positive and keep ourselves educated about the latest advances and research where canine learning theory is concerned.

Denisa «Dee» Hoult is certified through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), an international testing and certification program for professional pet dog trainers. The CCPDT’s certification program is based on humane, force-​free training practices and the latest scientific knowledge related to dog training. Competence and continued growth in training practices is promoted through the re certification of qualified professionals every three years. Dee is one of only a handful of trainers in Miami-​Dade with this particular credential and holds her trainers to the same standards she sets for herself.

AYP is pawfect! Not only does my pup have fun, but so do I! My vet recommended AYP to me and I couldn’t be happier. I enrolled him in the puppy kindergarten, which is mostly socialization, but he also learned commands like «watch me, sit, stay, stand, leave it, and down.»
The facility is nice and big with A/​C. Lots of room for play!
The staff is great! They all seem to love what they do and are very knowledgable and helpful.
They also offer daycare, boarding, and much more! Check them out!

So Happy I found this place.
I have been taking my «puppy» (who is actually 2) here for Level 1 training classes for about 3 weeks. The staff are all very friendly and you can tell they truly love what they do. I find the classes to be a decent price, they are informative and they teach you how to train your dog, plus its fun. The facility is clean and well kept, and I’ve found all the other dogs who attend the classes well behaved. They aslso offer boarding, doggy day care and play time where you can pay to let your dog play around in their indoor area.
Definitley a place worth checking out for some quality time with your pooch.

THE WHOLE STAFF HERE IS GREAT!!! We recently signed up our dachshund Sandy for doggie training day camp and everyone has been wonderful! The staff is super nice, and you can tell they love what they do. Previously, I would have never thought to trust anyone with my only child, but it’s easy to see how much love and affection everyone here has for dogs and it really makes me feel good about dropping her off in a place where she will have fun, learn with positive reinforcement, and be loved like she is at home. Dee is great, but more importantly, she’s assembled a WONDERFUL staff who all care as much as she does about making your pet feel loved, behave well, and gets lots of love and affection for positive actions.

After hearing from a few trusted dog lovers how great Applause Your Paws was, I decided to bring in the 1 year old male lab I had just begun fostering through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida. As typical for many rescues, my lab Maverick possessed a super dominant personality and lacked any social skills. Without hesitation, Dee and the AYP team, optimistically took on the challenge of socializing him. From initially reacting to almost every male dog he came into contact with, to now being able to work out differences despite his alpha attitude, Maverick is surely becoming a more polite and playful pup around new dogs everyday! I can’t thank her team enough, especially Maverick’s trainer Jonathan, who was able to give him the social skills and exposure to other dogs he needed. Maverick’s dog aggression was my only hesitation in adopting him these last few months and I can confidently say, those concerns have been laid to rest. Just this past weekend I officially adopted Maverick as my own and this choice would not have been possible without the great training at Applause Your Paws.

I’m a nearby veterinarian and I strongly recommend Dee and her whole team to all of my clients. Whether it’s for problem behaviors, «simple» obedience training (never simple, mind you) or «kindergarten”-style puppy socialization, they do it right.
Not only are they awesome to work with, this group is also the most highly credentialed and is probably the most well-​respected set of trainers among my veterinary colleagues. Oh … and they’re well priced, too.

My husband and I adopted an adorable dog from the Miami Dade Animal Shelter almost 4 months ago. We didn’t realize how high energy of a dog we had adopted as she was quite sick at the time of adoption. Over the last few months, we have worked diligently on basic commands and were succesful with this work. There remained many issues that concerned us and we had a friend refer us to Dee. Dee came to our house and was beyond helpful. She explained each and every method she used and gave us tips that made sense to us. We loved her training manner and methods and look forward to a continued relationship as we decrease some of the problem behaviors. We can see the light!

As soon as I adopted my 8 week old puppy, I signed up for puppy kindergarten classes with Applause your Paws. Trainer Emily was awesome! Very helpful and knowledgeable. I learned so much about my puppy in those 5 sessions and it was a good introduction for my pup as all dogs really need that early socialization.
8 months later and my dog has participated in their Obedience classes (with Wilfredo, he rocks!) and Advanced Obedience AND a private session (with Dee who. I couldn’t be happier with every session we participated in. And I cant wait to enroll in more, they have a variety of courses.
Very professional, and friendly attitudes. They make training your dog FUN, not a chore. And even though training your dog is not an overnight task, Applause your Paws gives you the right information and tools to continue improving. They’re also readily available by phone or email if you have any questions.
My dog has benefited without a doubt, and so much so, that at 10 months old, I was able to enter him in an AKC competition for Obedience and he earned a qualifying score! All thanks to the AYP family.

We recently took part in a private training with Applause Your Paws trainer, Mike Vick.
Mike was absolutely great with both of our dogs, extremely knowledgeable, and above all, very personable. He gave us a great deal of advice and showed us training techniques that are already working. I’m sure we’re not the first people to say this, but I think what we learned most from him is that dog training is more about people training.
He was great at explaining that we have to change some of our behaviors in order to have our dogs behave the way we want. We look forward to following up with Mike in a month or so for a possible second session. Would highly recommend.

I contacted Dee to make an appointment to train my new puppy. I intended to book the 5 hour training package, but it was a long wait until I was able to finally see her. On her first appointment, she didn’t carry her phone with her and ended up at the wrong apartment, so she wasn’t able to call and figure out the situation. Who leaves their phone at home/​office?
Then, Dee offered to send one of her trainers a week later, and I really wanted the owner. She tried to allude she may be the one coming, but avoided the fact as much as possible and sent several of her underlings.
I offered to leave a review for her and she’d connect with me to start the training. I never did, she never did, no one has won in this situation.
Cause she forgot her phone and didn’t get the right apartment, she’s hesitant to come back. Sorry Dee. I have another trainer now. Now my review is posted.

Dee is a fantastic dog trainer!
After much research, we decided to go with Dee over other trainers. We are so glad we did. She started with our puppy, Lupe when she was 2.5 months old.
Dee’s classes are extremely reasonable in price… extremely competitive, which helped since we were training her on a tight budget! Her prices are even more reasonable if you buy a package of lessons! We have enjoyed every minute of it. Our pup, and all the pup’s owners that we talked to, simply adore her. She is a lot of fun.
Dee only uses positive reinforcement, which was one of the key reasons why we went with Dee. She’s very informed and informative regarding all aspects related to dogs. She teaches you how to really enjoy being with your dog .
We know that our little Lupe has a lot of potential so we are looking forward for more classes with Dee.

I met Dee through my good friend and neighbor Natalie P, and I’m so very grateful for the introduction. Thanks to Dee, my very energetic Shih Tzu is a lot less unruly and a pro at the basic commands she learned through her Canine Good Citizen course. Dee is patient, kind and a joy to work with. I’m very much looking forward to enrolling my dog in some of the more advanced courses offered by Applause Your Paws.
What I like most about Dee’s philosophy is that the dogs are taught how to behave through positive reinforcement, rather than negative reinforcement. I thoroughly recommend Applause Your Paws. There’s no better way to train your dog!

Dee, the owner and primary trainer at Applause your paws is fabulous. She is not only a trainer but is a behaviorist who can help you and your dog learn a number of commands but is also capable of addressing more serious issues when they arise (i.e. any type of agression).
She offers both private in home classes as well as group classes at various locations in Miami-​Dade County. Her prices are reasonable and she is excellent.

Dee is not only outgoing, eager to learn and smart but fair and honest. She volunteers many hours at Paws 4 You Rescue helping dogs curently at the rescue and even after adoption.
Pairing dogs to the perfect family is what the Rescue aims for and Dee takes the time to assess a situation and come up with a plan when the need arises. If an adopter has questions, she is available. If an adopter wants to attend her class or hire her for private lessons, she offers a Paws discount. All the Rescue fosters are welcome to take their foster dogs to any of her classes to help gain knowledge that will result in finding his/​her forever family faster.
Dee is also a very knowledgeable animal enthusiast. Helping to write articles for the local newspaper and the Rescue’s monthly newsletter is another way Paws supporters benefit from having Applause Your Paws as part of the Rescue Team.
Paws 4 You Rescue is thankful to have Applause Your Paws’ support. Dee is one of the reasons why the Rescue’s adoption rate is so high… but the satisfaction of adopters is even higher!

Classes. She offers group classes as well as private training sessions. From beginner classes to Rally-​Obedience, Dee offers something for every dog. Best of all, she makes her classes fun and interesting for the dogs and their owners!
Community Service. Dee is involved with Paws 4 U rescue and encourages her students to help out, too.
DO NOT take your dog to PetSmart, Petco, or any other pet store. Some high school student with no professional training will be teaching you how to work with your pet.
