Allstate Insurance: Roxana Soto

I have to disagree with the previous writer, my partner & I (2 vehicles) have been with Roxanna Soto and Allstate for over 10 years. She has offered numerous (& of course I ask for them) saving options that fit my needs. I’ve had numerous companies bid for my insurance (including Progressive) and when comparing apples (address. age, milage, deductible, driving record) to apples; they really all come out about the same… But the most important part is…
SERVICE, service, service I’ve been involved in my share of accidents (hey I live in Miami) and everything is handled quickly and efficiently. Including a rental car claim (that was my fault), and my deductible has never gone up (only down).
So do your homework, try to deal with Roxana or her team, not a generic salesperson for a quote, (what is ±$ 5 a month in reality) and you wont be disappointed.
Oh and don’t drive like a crazy person and get the plug-​in electronic device, and save some more $

Sadly, the love affair with this insurance agency didn’t last long. After a year, their rates rose considerably. I went back to my former insurance company who was able to come in at the same price as Allstate was charging when I first switched to them. I called and e-​mailed the Roxana Soto agency and gave them a chance to meet the offer I’d been made by the other insurance company, and they basically said there was nothing they could do, short of reviewing my policy to decide if there were areas they could trim costs in order to make their pricing more attractive. I wasn’t interested in reducing any of my coverage levels, so I declined.
What’s worse, however, and the reason for 2 stars, is because it appears this agency has now resorted to «cold calls», which are more or less telemarketing, at inconvenient times, to try and get customers to sign back on with them. On a recent Friday, I got 2 calls on my cell phone from the Roxana Soto agency, asking questions about my existing policy with the other company, and probing me for more information. I wasn’t sure why they were calling me now, when my existing insurance isn’t even set to expire for some time. Anyway, they called me twice on that Friday, gave me a quote and asked what I was paying with the other company. Since they called me while I was at work, I didn’t have that information readily available.
First thing the following Monday morning, this Allstate agency started calling me again, asking how much I was paying with Progressive. As it turns out, Progressive is more than $ 150 cheaper every 6 months than this Allstate agency. At the end of the call, the guy from Roxana Soto who’d been making these calls to me said «I realize these are tough times financially, but if there’s anything we can do to win your business, let me know». My answer was swift: «It has nothing to do with the economy. Simply put, in an apples to apples comparison, the other company is more than $ 150 cheaper than you every six months, or more than $ 300 cheaper over the course of a year. Even if the economy was great, if another company is charging me more than $ 300 less for the same coverage, I’m going with the cheaper option.» The guy started going on again and didn’t seem to get it. I ended the call.
