ABC Optometry

I’m saddened to have to write this review because Dr. Yacoub is very nice but her employees are another story. I ordered contact lenses the week of ¹⁰⁄₅ and was priced $ 120 with a $ 50 rebate in a visa/​Mastercard that I could use for anything. This would have essentially brought down my cost to $ 70 (what a great deal!) This quote was given to me by Cassandra. Today I go to pick up my order and when I asked about the rebate, the optical manager Claudia, in a matter of fact tone, tells me that there is no rebate offer with these particular contacts I purchased. I immediately felt upset because that was the sole reason why I even bought the lenses from this business. I asked Claudia to confirm this with Cassandra since she took my order and provided me the quote. After spending 20 minutes there, for them to figure out that there is only a $ 10 rebate on the contacts, they offered me the option of buying a different type of contact that would cost $ 180, with a $ 25-​$ 35 rebate (she couldn’t even confirm the rebate). How does this even make sense??? I want to SAVE money NOT pay more!!! They did apologize about the «confusion» of the $ 50 rebate BUT they could still not answer my question on where they pulled this number from!!! As neither contacts had a rebate remotely close to $ 50. I have NEVER experienced such incompetent staff who have no clue as to the promotions they run and more so, who could not accommodate my in anyway. I have spent weeks waiting for my contacts, wasted time and gas driving to their location for pick up, to only experience horrible customer service. There is nothing more aggravating than dealing with people who have no clue what they’re speaking about and offer no resolution. While I was there 2 other customers where there, who also got no resolution on their issues. After I left, I then got a call from the optical manager Claudia stating that she spoke to Dr. Yacoub who was not in the office while I was there, and that she would like to offer me a free box to make up for the inconvenience. I am done with this place. I am not driving back for anything. If the manager had any experience or common sense, she would have called the owner, explained the situation, and I would therefore not have to drive back for their offer. There are way too many businesses for me to ever waste my time with this establishment. It’s a shame because Dr. Yacoub is very nice but you only see her once a year. The staff you have to deal with often when you place any orders. Take my word and go else where… even online you can save tons of money for the exact same products.

Back for my yearly check up, and as usual super satisfied with Dr. Yacoub and her staff’s attention. They really are the best optometry office I’ve experienced in Miami so far.

She is an amazing doctor and you can tell she really cares about her patients. I received one of the most thorough eye examinations I have ever had and she was very and answered all the questions I had. She even took the time to find me the only contact brand that made daily contacts for my prescription. The front staff was also very friendly and helpful. I have already recommended her to all my family members and they will be making appointments soon.

Very professional staff and Dr Yacoub takes the time to explain/​clarify any concerns you might have. Went to update my prescription and ended up with a beautiful pair of Ray-​Ban glasses and the most comfortable lenses (Dailies) I’ve tried so far. Excellent service.

ABC optometry carries quality lenses that are basically non-​existent in the Miami area and well worth using — you will notice the difference. Additionally, Dr. Yacoub is as top notch as the quality glasses, lenses and so forth she carries. Well worth the drive wherever you are in South Florida — you won’t regret it.

I had a great experience here. The doctor spent plenty of time thoroughly examining my eyes and clearly explaining all of my options. After being fitted for contacts, I was given several sample brands to try out to see which on fit me best. When I came back for a follow-​up visit and ordered my contacts, I was glad to learn that ABC Optometry MATCHES the prices of 1−800-CONTACTS. It pleases me to spend my money at a local business that provides me with professional and personal care.
Bonus Information:
1. There is single-​cup coffee brewer for your pleasure while you are waiting to see the doctor.
2. The TV is on, but is tuned to Pandora Radio!
3. Visit ABC Optometry with an empty stomach because it is across the street from Arbeter’s Hotdogs!

Wonderful, professional office. They worked around my schedule, which is not easy, and then even stayed late to help me find the perfect pair of glasses. Dr. Yacoub was very knowledgeable and really listened.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! When I called to make an appointment the receptionist was both friendly and helpful. I was looking forward to the visit since good customer service is rare in Miami. When we arrived both girls were extremely helpful and friendly. The doctor was just as friendly and was very good with explaining everything. At the end of the appointment I was still a bit confused about the results and she took her time to explain everything. The store had already closed and they took their time to make sure that all of our questions were answered and that we left happy customers. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Dr. Yacoub is excellent!!! She takes her time with each patient to ensure the correct prescription. She is patient and kind. Staff is friendly and the office is impeccable. ABC optometry has all the latest in fashionable frames… What more could you ask for? Coffee? They even have that too!!! :D

The staff is courteous and the doctor is great. Have been a patient here for several years and both my son and husband are also patients now!
