Website down — they don’t answer the phone. Cannot leave a message as box is full. Out of business?

Used ABC Charters for a Tampa-​Havana flight. Multiple red flags before the date of departure, including misspelled names on tickets and an inability to reach anyone during normal business hours. On the day of departure, ABC Charters charged me for carry-​on luggage although it was under the weight limit provided in their promo materials. To add insult to injury, some passengers had items weighed while others did not. In addition, passengers had to wait in long lines THREE times — to «check-​in», weigh your luggage, and pay for said luggage if they decide that you’re over the limit. Not to mention, their system kept going down.
I do NOT recommend use of this company, and with the recent news regarding increased commercial flights to Cuba, hopefully you can bypass companies like this.
Edit: ABC Charters also purports to use only American and Jet Blue Airlines flights. However, I’m currently seated on an Eastern Airlines-​operated flight, a newly reincarnated company.

I purchased Tampa to Havana tickets, and when I checked in at Tampa Airport, the agent
booked me on a return flight Havana — Miami, this was not the routing that I purchased
and they offered no assistance to correction to their mistake in Havana.
I’m waiting for their response and explanation of what happened.

We booked our trip through Marazul travel agency and selected the ABC charter flights because they offered the schedule we preferred. The flights between Miami and Havana were operated by American Airlines and the jets were in good condition and departed on time. In the US, the check– in and baggage processing requires that you first have your documents checked in one line, then stand in another line to check your bags. If you have two or more people you can minimize wait time by having one person get the documents approved and have someone else wait in the baggage line. I can imagine this is not a pleasant process when traveling alone with a small child. The document checking seemed to take a long time, but who knows what sorts of rules and regulations are imposed by both governments involved. Best advice is to arrive as early as possible prior to departure. The return trip was much smoother, with only one check-​in line for document and baggage checking. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this trip again through ABC charter.

This company should be reviewed by American Airlines before they charter their planes to them. They treat people like cattle before boarding the plane. They take advantage of their passengers by charging by the pound on carry on luggage. All the passengers want to do is take much needed items to their love ones in Cuba. These people are making a mockery of the planes of American Airlines.
