Signature Rent a Car

Only giving this place one star because I have to. Had my reservation 8 months planned ahead. I booked the car through the same site that booked my flight. I received a confirmation about my reservation through email. Did not think anything was weird until a few days before when my wife and I were discussing whether we needed to even have a car to get around Miami. We decided to keep the reservation but I wanted to call and check in with the rental company and to also ask questions. The number I had only led me to a voice message that announced «mailbox full» reply. After my flight was delayed and going through the long walk to get to the car rental kiosks I quickly realized that they are NOT EVEN ON THE AIRPORT PREMISES. That’s when I started looking up reviews for this place and to my demise I saw all the negatives. I looked through my old emails and still only had the one phone number and email address to contact them with. After realizing that we had to take a Holiday Inn Shuttle way off site to there offices it was already 9pm. A full hour after we had landed. Walked into the lobby of the Holiday inn and stood and waited for another 20 mins before the holiday inn staff, who saw us waiting the whole time decided to tell us that they had left for the day!!! My wife and I were stranded with no transportation and no way to get a hold of the rental people except via email!!! What kind of business is this. I had to cancel my credit card just so they would not charge me. HATE THIS PLACE! Appalled that nowhere on any confirmation email or anywhere besides « Unilocal»!!! Is there a posting of any hours of operation. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. My thought is this, if my experience with them was miserable before I could even do business with them I’m sure all the nightmare stories would have been true if I had gone with them.
