History

Established in 2002.

People are living longer than ever before. The nation’s seniors (aged 65 and above) now total 40.3 million people, or 13% of the population, up from 35 million or 12.4% of the population in 2000. Additionally, over 10 million or 27.4% of our seniors live alone, with 14 million+ of them, or almost 50%, having some form of disability.

Florida ranks among the highest in senior citizens, estimated at 3.2 million or 17.2% of the state’s population. Over a quarter of the state’s senior population lives alone, with many requiring the services of a professional caregiver.

This need is well understood by Judy Jackson, founder and president of Coast to Coast Healthcare Solutions, a leading home care provider in South Florida. After her mother developed Alzheimer’s disease, Ms. Jackson sought to find efficient and compassionate home care for her mother but found it very challenging. This experience compelled her to start Coast to Coast in 2002…

Coast to Coast Healthcare was founded in 2002 by Judy Jackson, an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, who graduated from University of Miami and has over 30 years of nursing and healthcare experience. Her vast and varied knowledge plus her motivation in the healthcare profession has allowed Coast to Coast to excel in its home healthcare services with efficiency and success. Watching her mother age and develop Alzheimer’s disease, Judy was compelled to start a company to provide caregivers who could deliver compassionate care to others. Her contribution to the healthcare industry and the community has as a result gained her the Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce Milestone Award of Excellence and the Soroptimist International Award for «Women of Distinction.»
