I love my neighborhood Walgreens! It’s open 24⁄7 which is so convenient for all of life’s little emergencies or if you’re just looking to satisfy some late night snack cravings. The staff are always very friendly at check out and parking is easy(which you can’t say often beachside!) Normandy is such a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and this Walgreens is a reflection of that. Added bonus: this is probably the coolest looking(architecturally speaking) Walgreens you’ll ever see!

If I could give zero stars for the pharmacy, I would. The staff is horrible and treats me and my family terribly. They continually screw up my prescriptions and the pharmacists do everything they can to not fill prescriptions. They continually fight me on every prescription my doctor orders and think they are doctors. In sum, the pharmacists are 100% incompetent, think they are doctors and after four months of attempting to fill a prescription I gave up. If you value your health, DONOTGO to this pharmacy. They suck!

I have had two different cashiers here and both had GREAT customer service. The first guy was Aldo, I unfortunately didn’t catch the second guy’s name.

I was going to give them a bad review because the pharmacy was not going to sell me pseudoephedrine due a malfuction on their computer system. However, I called the manager and she was able to get a computer outside the pharmacy to do the sale. The manager is a veteran just as I am and she took care of me. Veterans looking out for veterans, that is the way it was in the military, we always looked out for each other. So a bad review took a positive spin due to willingness of a good manager to do the right thing.

It’s the newest Walgreens in North Shore but that isn’t saying much; there are more Walgreen’s and CVS’ around town these days then Banks and Churches; and since they come with ATM’s and liquor stores — what more do you need?! Like all new Walgreens this one sports ample idle empty space for goodness knows what reason when the interior of the store is CLUTTERED with so much stuff you have to contort through some aisles like a Cirque de Soleil acrobat to not knock items over — they always have what you basically want — you just need to find it. This particular visit was actually to the little liquor store on the side that has surly sullen help but low prices when you need to get your drink on … which for me living in Miami-Dade and riding the bus — is a daily affair.

I’m so happy to have a Walgreens close to home now. I’ve had to go to the pharmacy extremely sick or with a sick new born and they always are very helpful and don’t take a long time. Everyone is nice, but especially Mehe Marrero in Pharmacy. She’s very attentive and takes carer of problems quickly.

I was waiting for a pharmacy closer to home for quite some time. Living in between Miami and Miami beach, I found that I was equally inconveniently located from a 24-hr convenience store. The new Walgreens is a bit tight, but has just about anything you need including the pharmacy(not 24 hrs though). The parking isn’t usually a problem, however since it’s adjacent to an alley — it can get a little frustrating trying to get in and out of the lot. All in all, very happy that Walgreens is closer!

It’s all so shiny and new! Shiny poured concrete floors, special modern lighting, streamlined shelves and columns, even their window tints look pretty! Fancy shmancy Walgreens indeed, they have a wide variety of beach-bound necessities. Extensive food selection too, more chips choices than one knows what to do with. Popchips! Yes, they have popchips! In addition to a vast array of latin chips… mmmmm, plantain chips with garlic. Open 24 hours for the general store, pharmacy wasn’t open late though. Still have to check out the liquor store but from the looks of it, probably a good spot for nice selection at decent prices. The lady at the register was quite friendly and helpful, she informed us that the Grand Opening celebration is this coming Sunday. It appears they will have a DJ, character photos, health screenings and some other madness that would only happen at a Walgreens on Miami Beach. Oh and it also looks like they are going to have some art work hanging up in a special mini-gallery area they have that faces the street. FYI if you are looking for a late night banana fix to get your potassium on, this is NOT the place for it. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
