The New Hotel

The best of many options all at once: right off Collins, but not on it. Bar, restaurant, and wading pool. Despite the party at the bar and restaurant right below us, the room was quiet enough and we slept. Speaking of sleeping, we just bought a new bed — we should have bought this one.

Attentive and enjoyable stay, nicely located in north beach area, like a family neighborhood with interesting shopping and markets nearby. The owner, Ann is on the premises with her sweet new German Shepherd puppy Jack.
Discreet from the street, tiny hotel. Neighbors and locals hanging out in the evening, but not noisy, just a pleasant hum of parties. Small hotel, but nice towels, shampoo and soap, we will go back!

This was like staying in the guesthouse of a fabulous friend– a little outside the touristy area, 2 blocks from beach. Rooms were clean and huge and beachy– very comfortable. A great boon is Lou’s Beer Garnden– a fun and genuine place to have a drink and a bite– love the signature cocktail the Lucifer with blood red oranges– delicious! The next morning I found a dozen great places for empanadas and cuban coffee– this is the most enjoyable stay I have had in the area!

Adorable boutique hotel, A/​C unit and dehumidifier in room, and a cool energy saving way to use your key card with the lights in your room. Really good price too.
There’s a super cool bar/​restaurant in the pool area that was probably my favorite place to hang out in most of the places we went in Miami. The locals hang there too, so you can get good tips on places to visit.
There’s plenty of food within walking distance, a Walgreens on the corner, and you’re a block from the beach. Perfect location.
They also have beach cruiser bikes that you can take out free of charge!

I only give this place one star as the chef on duty was extremely rude. Luis I believe his name is, his girlfriend I hear is the daytime chef. I requested a blackened chicken breast and received a piece burnt meat on a bone. The waitress said it was how they blacken chicken. I only came back to this location as one Sunday night after boating I asked a bartender if they can serve me a blackened chicken breast. He said he must confirm with kitchen, my order was perfect. I have been dying to go back until tonight. I sent the chicken back and requested it how I received it day one. It came back the same minus the bone. Literally I could have cut it up like that. Chef apologies for what, he said the Sunday guy will be fired as they are prohibited to take special orders. I explained the special order they offered that day made me come back with a group. Our tab was almost 300 nothing special but triple my first tab and thanks to the rude chef who also demanded to mention he took the chicken I sent back off my bill, I will not return. As a business owner, customer satisfaction is a priority I believe strongly! The way that «chef» spoke to me id will assure you I will not be «craving» the food here anymore. Who threatens another chefs job for accommodating a patron to a patron? Don’t be rude to a customer because you made a mistake and can’t offer proper customer service. This is why my review gives 1 star, I am appalled by this experience. I recommend to stay away from the workers here as the chefs and such have ownership so they get upset extremely if a patron is upset

Good place to lay ur head. Not fancy but comfortable. There’s a bar, drink prices are over the top
13 $ for a strawberry mojito. There’s a pool it’s about 1 block from the beach. Not a place for a family to stay., close to shopping and Restaurants. The check in office is in the back of the hotel… Staff courteous and they clean your room daily, fresh towels etc.

5 star treatment at 1 star prices!
I think we got to the hotel at around midnight and we were a bit confused by the location and the parking situation. Its near north beach tucked behind the «strip» next to a Walgreens and some other apartment buildings. At this point I thought we had made a huge mistake but as we walked into the entrance I was pleasantly surprised!
Modern design, plenty of poolside seating and lounge furniture for guests and bar patrons to enjoy. We checked in and were greeted by Amee, one of the hotels owners, who was waiting for us to arrive. One of the hotel staff showed us to our room which was the largest and most tastefully decorated room we stayed in on our trip. It came with a full kitchen, king bed, modern furniture, a complimentary Charcuterie platter and bottle of Champagne with fresh fruit! At this point we were confused and figured there must be a catch but we were never charged for any of the extras.
We decided to head out to the bar and grab a drink. They had tons of craft beers, small batch whiskey’s and rye, top shelf vodka’s, tequilla, the list goes on. They also had their own signature cocktails, my wife tried one and loved it. I had several Old Fashioned’s with Mitchers Rye and they were the best cocktails I had on my vacation. The prices of everything were reasonable, basically what you would expect from any bar.
If you are not a sound sleeper and plan on going to bed early this place might not be for you. I was at the bar until last call and everyone started to clear out. I thought that the people at the bar were hotel guests but everyone else left except for me and my wife so the bar/​café is popular with locals. The noise from the music and the crowd didn’t bother me and I could barely hear it from my room with the A/​C running but I could see how this could be an annoyance for some people.
Overall this is the best experience I’ve ever had at any hotel especially one thats only $ 115 a night!

I pretty much 2^nd everything the reviewer Amee said, except my fiancé and I stayed here on a weekend — Friday through Monday morning. Everything about this place really was fantastic. Really cute, clean, comfortable modern room, friendly and attentive staff, great location, free parking. After being out all day and night every day of our trip, it was so great to be able to come back to the hotel and have a few relaxing drinks by the pool at night before going to bed. The only thing I didn’t like about the Miami Beach area is that there aren’t more places like this. If we ever come back to Miami we will be coming back to The New Hotel! Highly recommended.

Everything about this place is a win. We wanted a nice but affordable place to stay that was close to the beach but away from the crowds at south beach. We got that, and then they added sustainaibility (cool factor), great hospitality, and a beer garden with exceptional food and quality craft beer.

Down in Miami on business and decided to extend my stay somewhere chill by the beach. I’ve never been to Miami (only layover to Key West) and I knew I did not want somewhere over priced, loud and crowded.
I was basically looking to relax by a pool and enjoy some food and beverages.
I found the New Hotel on a web search and it appeared to have everything I wanted. The New Hotel was exactly the place I was looking for. The rooms are incredibly clean and modern, the bed was soooo comfortable! I love craft beer, so Lou’s Beer Garden was like a dream. Plus they still had interesting fresh mixed drinks. We stayed on week nights so we took advantage of the Happy Hour. The food was very good especially the Kobe burger. During the day we relaxed by the pool.
The management is exceptionally hospitable and friendly.
I enjoyed the down to earth local feel.
If I ever go back to Miami this is the place I’m staying definitely.

Just got back from Miami and had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a couple nights. The owner was super friendly and accommodating and they have a pool in the back with a bar that opens nightly at 5, plus its two blocks from north miami beach and a block form collins ave. which has little shops and restaurants and bars on it without being super trendy like south beach. would totally stay there again and recommend it to anyone who’s going to miami beach.

My wife and I stayed there for two nights in Feb. prior to going on the Cayamo Cruise. We were very happy with the Hotel and we especially appreciated all the help that Ann the owner gave us doing our stay. She was quick to give us restaurant recommendations, told us where we could rent a bike, and mapped out the best route for us to cycle to South Beach. The Hotel is out of the way and quiet and yet it is a very doable bus ride or bicycle ride to South Beach. We also ate supper one night at Lou’s Bier Garden which is on the premises. This is a cozy little bar run by Ann’s husband with a good selection of beers and great food. We would definitely stay at the Hotelagain.

I loved the new hotel, for its amazingly well done rooms, super nice owners, the kindness to offer food to starving residents, and not asking us to pay for it later. Simply Brilliant

My first post so I’ll keep this short and concise… SIKE! The New Hotel is in fact… new (less than 1 yr. @ review). Located in North Beach in a mostly residential area, this place is a fuse between bed & breakfast, pool, and a neighborhood bar feel. Yes, there are spa options in the form of room massages and facials. Oh, and bomb ass food. Very quiet, very much reminiscent of an old Miami Beach. Approximately 10 minutes driving to reach South Beach. At night, turns into a nice bar frequented by some exotic locals with very good food, canopy seating, music, and tiki torches. They have one chef who prepares dishes and he is very gifted at his craft. That alone means you’ll experience the quality we have. Right now, bar serves a select choice of micro’s and wine. They are working on a liquor license but we enjoyed both wine and beer selections.
Guests tend to be international, young, and of the mature type. Parking is free and provided next door at Walgreens. The New Hotel owners have a great relationship with the store manager. The staff is the coolest crowd of people… Most laid back, friendly, easy to speak with and absolutely accommodating. Baby girl loved our bathroom products, styling, and the very large shower. Hell, she even liked the dog and she’s not a dog lover. Small, yet chic and located one block away from a preserved, quiet section of Miami Beach. Fantastic bakery located on Collins and the best empanadas right around the block. I’m ‘feenin’ for one as I type this. Like anywhere in Miami, its important to be street smart as there are characters all over. For anyone needing a quiet retreat away from the crowds and scene, I highly recommend this place. Great price ($ 85/​night) for us and they even allowed us to check out late upon missing our flight coming in… We’ll be back just for that gesture and they get 1 extra star as a result.

My girlfriends and I have been to Miami many times. We love the beaches, the sun, the warmth of the people and the vibrant Latin culture that permeates every aspect of Miami. But we can only get a small dose of South Beach and it’s energy. So in our effort to find the amenities that the average South Beach hotel offers (short distance to the beach, food, fun, modern esthetics, etc) without the rest of the South Beach «noise» we discovered The New Hotel in North Miami Beach. Aside from the chic modern style of the this fine boutique hotel, Ann (the owner), Lou (of Lou’s Beer Garden) and Charlie (our waiter at the Beer Garden) created an inviting and comfortable environment that all of us thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delectable, the service was impeccable and everyone was absolutely nice and redefined our notion of what hospitality is really about. I can say on behalf of all of us, that we left Miami with three new friends made at the New Hotel.
If you’re looking for a safe, clean, comfortable and affordable boutique hotel in Miami that gives you easy access to the beaches, amazing food and drinks, this is the place for you! And if you need a dose of the South Beach vibe, it’s only a 20 minute car ride away.

This place is so cute! I only stayed for a weekend but if I ever have to be on North Beach again, The New Hotel is my pick. The manager herself greeted me when when I checked in, and walked me to my room. This place is very small, but super cozy. The room was almost SPARKLING clean, had cool mod décor and a very spacious shower and main area. There are no ominous long hallways to wander here — you can reach your room directly from the outside patio near the quiet pool deck and nearby bar and café. Did I mention that the owner said the entire hotel was «green»? Everything from your sheets to your hardwood is sustainable, and there’s use a handy room card that stays in the wall when you want your electricity running. If you leave to head out and wander the restaurants or the beach down the street, you can just take the card out and lights out! — you can feel good about saving energy.
My only gripe is about the free wi-​fi. The signal was terrible in my room and constantly went in and out.
