History
Established in 1969.
Since 1969, The Forge has been Miami Beach’s leading steakhouse. This family-owned restaurant at the center of Miami Beach has hosted the biggest names in show business — from Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson to Madonna and Justin Timberlake.
In 2010, the restaurant underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation by designer Francois Frossard. Dark woods, stained-glass murals and gilded-framed art were replaced by walls of hand-carved blonde wood and antique smoked mirror, octopus-like lilac and white crystal chandeliers, and an eclectic mix of upholstered and metal furniture. Shareef Malnik: Owner, President and CEO
Shareef Malnik is the owner of The Forge, an iconic restaurant that has been an institution in Miami Beach for more than four decades. Malnik’s personal experience and interests extend far beyond the world of food and wine to include art, interior design, and entertainment — passions which radiate throughout the walls of the restaurant.
A passionate and active community member, Malnik is involved in a number of arts and civic organizations. Since 2005, he has served as Gala Chairman of the highly regarded InterContinental Make-A-Wish Ball, where through his efforts, has raised more than $ 11 million dollars for the organization. He also serves on the board of directors for the Miami Police Athletic League, which strives to prevent juvenile delinquency through the use of academics, athletics and artistic activities.
In addition, Malnik is an advocate of his hometown, Miami Beach. He has been presented the Key to the City six times.
