Italian by Italians… the place was bursting with activity because it is so popular. The pizza was true thin Italian pizza which you’ll finish whatever you order because it goes down so easy. Prosciutto(ham) pizza was really good.

What a great place close by, but off the beaten path. 4 drinks, salads and entrees for 2 and only $ 100 in south beach! Nice cozy vibe, friendly staff and the food was really good. Check it out for sure!

The black pasta dish with crab was AMAZING!!! Antipasto was a delicious start. The bottled Chardonnay was well balanced. The service was super friendly.

In a cool evening, the owner was willing to activate the heater in the garden only after numerous requests we made to the waiters. The grilled chicken I ordered was supposed to come with potatoes and broccoli. The few potatoes were burnt and the one broccoli was overcooked, the chicken was better although dry. My wife’s salad was too oily and when she complained to the waitress all she got back was a shrug, but the waitress had a nice Italian accent if that is what you are looking for in a supposedly good Italian eatery…

Friendly awesome atmosphere. Had the black linguini with crab and spicy sauce, perfect portion size and great flavor. Wife enjoyed the black truffle ravioli and daughter had the chicken parmigiana which is a generous portion. Overall a great dinner.

We’ve been there for new year eve. Service was good and food as well. Some dishes are small. They had a special menu for new year then prices doubled the regular prices, we did not know that until get there. Prices were ok for being in Miami beach on the last night of the year.

I’m in love with a salad. I know, I know. But the Insalate Tropicale at Sylvano’s has won my heart. It’s so perfectly balanced with lemony zing, biting radicchio, and creamy avocado. The crispy lettuce, always fresh. The shaved parmesan, quality and pungent. If I could marry it, I would. Also tested and approved are the pasta(for real homemade) and pizza. The atmosphere is inviting and charming and the outdoor patio is so lovely and romantic. Regretfully, I’ve never been to Italy but I like to imagine this is what it feels like to dine there al fresco. I’m a big fan of the service at Sylvano’s. Jana especially is fantastic, but the staff overall is friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. They consistently meet or exceed expectations, and that’s a huge deal in Miami(sobe especially). Kudos to the leadership on this. I believe that owner/manager involvement is a huge component of a restaurant’s success. Sylvano is in this restaurant almost always, and it shows. Guests appreciate the special care and hospitality and that only be imparted by an owner/operator. Bottom Line: if you’re looking for a great meal at a fair price, hit up this tucked away locals’ favorite. And order the salad!

Steamed mussels for an app. Very large and fresh. Chicken parm is huge-very good sauce and plenty of mozzarella cheese. Girlfriend had a grilled chicken Popeye salad that looked yummy. Prices very reasonable and server very good. Definitely would recommend if you want quaint delicious Italian.

The pappardelle lamb ragu was delicious, as was the truffle ravioli. Very authentic, as the Italian staff and a large portion of the clientele lends credence to. Reasonable wine by the glass as well. One minus, numerous flatscreen tv’s took away from the atmosphere a bit.

This place is a hidden gem. Authentic, Italian owned, with awesome food! We were referred here by a friend and it was worth the trip! We had lasagna, Parma pizza, desert and wine for a very reasonable price. Everything was delicious and it tasted like eating in Italy. We will be back soon.

Everything was delicious. We ordered carrot soup, beef carpaccio with avocado and heart of palm, chicken schnitzel, and truffle ravioli(which was so so good). The atmosphere is awesome as well. We wanted to order pana cotta but we were full, so next time. I guess not all restaurant around our hotel are tourist trap:)

This place is home to the best Italian food I have ever had. Went on Unilocal reviews when searching out Italian restaurants in the area. The prices are on the cheaper side, but the food is incredible. I am so thankful for running across this place! When I make it back to Miami Beach, this will be my first stop. Please check this place out!

I had the calamari salad and the seafood risotto here. Service was good enough. The calamari was cooked perfectly, but it was a little salty. You get two big pieces, which you had to cut on your own, and the butter knife I had on my table wasn’t really cutting it. The risotto could have been softer. It was a little under cooked and hard in the middle of the rice. The table next to me got pizza and other pasta. Next tiem, I’ll try the pizza. It looked pretty good.

wow. the black truffle ravioli here is delicious. i would highly rec trying this dish. im usually not a huge fan of black truffles but it does not overpower the dish at all. each bite of ravioli was a smooth creamy umami delight. the pappardelle al ragu di agnello was good as well. the pasta was fresh and cooked to a good al dente but just wish the ragu had a little bit more meat. also, it wouldve been great if the portions were a bit bigger… my husband and i both left wishing for more food. otherwise, this place is delicous, the service friendly, and the outdoor sitting area is very cute and cozy.

There’s a few special places in the world where one can walk in for the first time and immediately feel right at home. Living in South Beach surrounded by with all the hustle and bustle from the tourist traps and the newest glamorous dining spots, the gastro scene can sometimes be a little impersonal, and finding that ‘at home’ feeling can be a bit of a challenge. Thank goodness there’s a few exceptions such as Sylvano, an Italian hidden gem, located in the Collins Park neighborhood. Upon walking into Sylvano, the first thing you’ll notice is the friendly ambiance and the fact that it’s full of locals. The place just seems to bring out conversation and make people sociable, mostly because of the friendly staff and the owner, Sylvano, who is always there overseeing the operation and greeting customers as they come in. If you have the option, try to go for the outdoor seating. With its palm trees and garden lights, the patio exudes a lovely romantic vibe that is especially charming and inviting at night. Have I mentioned that the food there is fantastic? One of my favorites is the Fried Calamari & Zucchini, perfectly tender, moist and paired with a spicy marinara. Another favorite is the Mussel Soup, a bowl filled with fresh mussels and marinara broth that is so good, you will not want to let a drop go to waste. Just dip your bread into it, close your eyes and enjoy! If you are a pasta lover like me, the Four-Cheese Gnocchi is a definite must. These nuggets of soft pillowy goodness are covered with a delicate cheese sauce, and just melt in your mouth. Another favorite is the Pizza Bianca al Tartufo, which is incredibly aromatic, thin crusted and made with the perfect amount of cheese. And please, if you visit Sylvano, you must must must order dessert. Their Chocolate Lava cake is served with vanilla ice cream and is simply divine. On occasion, you will spot a lucky guy or girl getting their signature birthday celebration, which causes the whole restaurant to go dark for 40 seconds while the entire staff sings a very cheerful happy birthday, and brings over the perfect dessert with an enormous fireworks candle on top. I was one of those lucky people last week, and let me tell you, they made me feel quite special! :) When it comes to South Beach hidden gems, Sylvano most definitely ranks in the top of my list. In a city where there’s an abundance of glittery and pretentious dining options, it is nice to know that there’s still genuine places out there that can give you a warm, fuzzy feeling and make you feel right at home.

Been a customer of Sylvano’s for years. Came here with a few friends for a GF bday celebration. I had not been to this location, i used to visit the one on Alton before they moved. Place is quaint and cute, with a nice outdoor seating area. Too bad we couldn’t sit outside because that day it was pouring… Cute décor, good set up and this new location is kind of away from the cray traffic, more secluded. Problem is the parking, as there were not a lot of options so we had to valet at the garage on the next street which was a dismal $ 35… Food was solid as usual. Burrito was to die for, melanzane with penne delicious, pizza, everything i have tried there is yummy. Good wine selection. Great place for a date or a casual dinner/lunch with friends.

Echte italienische Küche mitten in Miami Beach. Kein amerikanisierter Verschnitt mit komischen Käsesossen und Frittier-Sucht. Versucht zum Nachtisch das hausgemachte Tiramisu — allein deswegen ist das Sylvano einen Besuch wert.

Sehr gutes italienisches Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphere. Aufmerksame Bedienung die mir ständig meine Cola aufgefüllt hat. Und das für umsonst! Gute annehmbare Preise. Leckerer Danesi Espresso.
