South Beach Room Escape

We came in only playing the diamond heist and begged for a chance on the panic room. It was sooooooooo fun. Really tests your skills.

If you and a group of friends are looking for something different to do in Miami then I’d try this place out. The building is easy to find. I came with a group of 7 and we did the panic room (the most difficult). It was fun having to work together to find a way out of the room. It kept you on your toes. Prior to starting the game you needed to use the bathroom and put all your things away in a locker, once the game starts that’s it. It was fun, exciting 60 minutes. I would want to try the diamond heist. The only thing I find disappointing is that there are only 3 rooms to choose from. Once you do all three that’s pretty much it. I didn’t ask, but I’m assuming maybe next year they will start creating new rooms.
All in all, try the place out. It’s fun

We were in Miami for a bachelorette trip and decided to check out South Beach Room Escape. There were 8 of us and we picked the Diamond Heist room and every single person LOVED the experience. Our host was really great; the room (not my first) was engaging and fun; the clues were hard but not unfair. Icing on the cake was that we managed to beat the best time for that room for a group of 8 without using any clues and were able to get our names on the All-​Star board! We all came away from the experience immediately wanting to go to another one.

The catered lunch was delicious. Steak and potatoes and beer, what more could one ask for? We ate outside on the roof which had a great view.
The game was challenging, but fun. The puzzles required all of the team members to work together and keep talking so clues weren’t missed. I liked the Diamond room the best.
Very fun, I would definitely recommend this.

I’m not reviewing South Beach Room Escape’s gameplay, but rather their customer service and communication — or lack there of. In fact, I cannot review their gameplay for this very reason. I recently took a brief escape room road trip from Orlando down to Miami. We found a bit of extra time on our hands on Monday, so we tried to squeeze in a game at South Beach Room Escape. Their website clearly listed their operating hours as Sunday — Thursday 2 – 10 and Friday & Saturday 2 – 12. (Attached is the screen shot taken on ¹¹⁄₁₆)
I called to check last minute availability that afternoon, only to be greeted with a voicemail that said «Text message, don’t call.» That seemed a bit oddly unprofessional for a business, but I sent the text as instructed. I was told that the website says «open every day but Monday» — which it clearly did not. I even shared a screen shot of their page to help them understand my confusion. They promptly stopped responding to my messages.
Prior to typing this review, I just now opened their page and sure enough — they’ve changed the operating hours — sort of. It still says Sunday — Thursday, Friday & Saturday, but they’ve added a «NO MONDAY» in all caps. Clearly you recognize your information was wrong (and technically still is, because Sunday through Thursday *does* include Monday, so you continue to give conflicting information) yet at no point did South Beach Room Escape even offer me a friendly apologize, or ask me to check back the next time I’m in town.
Well, your poor customer service and disorganized website has guaranteed I will not check back.

Looking for something different to do in Miami that doesn’t involve clubbing, dinner, or clubbing? Try this place out!
Group of 9 friends came late on a Saturday attempting to do something fun and new. Half our party have done escapes before, so we were pro’s, but the rest a bunch of rooks.
The way this works is you get locked in a room, and you scour every nook and cranny for clues to unlock locks and solve puzzles, until you bust your way straight outta Compton. (You gently unlock the final door).
We did the panic room. We owned that ish. Well at first we did, but we got stuck at the end and barely got out in time.
This particular escape place is not scary, but still keeps you on your toes and your heart racing towards the end.
Overall, it was a lot of fun and we had a great time. After we escaped we left and celebrated with dinner and clubbing!

This was the first time I ever did something like this. It was very entertaining and it definitely makes you think. I highly recommend this to do something different with a group of friends. The location is great.

This review is based solely on startling costumer service. I did not even get a chance to experience the rooms here.
I’m only leaving a review in the hopes that this business will receive the message that it’s an incredibly terrible practice to talk down to or berate your customers.
We booked our experience here a bit in advance as a birthday gift to my mother. My sister and I live in LA and planned a visit to Miami for my mom’s birthday amongst other things. My mom had been dying to join us for an escape room experience since we’ve done a ton of them over in LA and rave about them to her all the time.
So after some research we found South Beach Room Escape. We booked. Yay we were going to finally experience an escape room with our mom and it’s her bday and life was good!
We get a call from them two days before our booking saying that they have a leak in their roof and all of their experiences for the next week have been canceled. We wouldn’t be in Miami when they resumed SO basically we were out of luck. The woman who bared the bad news was named Daniela and I was just like… omg this sucks so bad. She offered us a full refund and agreed to ask her boss to recommend some other escape rooms we could try while we were still in town which I appreciated.
Long story short, she basically ended up recommending their sister company which is located in Pompano Beach which is 1 hour and 15 mins away from us. The thing is, we now had a mess on our hands because we also had other people who were going to join us in the original experience who could no longer make the new location and time. It was just a mission.
I spoke to Daniela about 4 times until finally I had to run off to a prior engagement and asked my sister to please ask them if they could somehow compensate us for some tickets or SOMETHING for the new location to make up for the amount of time we now had to drive and the trouble of having to shift so many plans around. We literally planned our trip around this so we were hoping for some help and understanding on their end.
Instead, my sister returned with news that Daniela had not only said no to the comps but proceeded to argue with my sister and say really condescending things like «I’m the one you need to be nice to because I’m the manager» and «You can’t speak to the boss because he’s Hungarian and won’t understand you» and to comment on my sister’s attitude and tone.
When she refunded us, she included a little note with the refund that said that we couldn’t review the business because only people that have visited the facilities can review it. UMMMM what kind of dictatorship is this?!
It just felt like this woman and, in turn, this establishment, just crapped all over our hope and dream and chance to experience this with people we love and basically said «Too bad!». The point is, the fact that this person was so rude at all PERIOD is something that should be known by whoever is running this because it scarred mine and my whole groups experience of South Beach Room Escape. No experience is worth that kind of backtalk and garbage. Get it together, South Beach Room Escape.

This place and concept is absolutely amazing. Had the best time.
We did the panic room and though we didn’t complete it, (came extremely close), the experience was fun and exciting. Basically you get locked inside a room and have to find tools and keys and clues to help get you out within 60 minutes. It’s interesting and brain teasing and all in all a fun way to work together w your friends. For only 20 – 30 $, and they offer free cocktails, you can not beat this experience.
We will be booking again for a future visit and can’t wait to try the other rooms available. I recommend this place for everyone to try at least once!

Honestly, this place is amazing. If you like to use your mind or just want a generally interesting time, you can’t beat it. Basically you get locked in a puzzle, similar to Saw (the movies), but without any scares. There are clues hidden all around to help you open the numerous locks, trap doors, and boxes hidden about the rooms. Each puzzle has a goal and I can’t wait to get back here and try another room. This is also a really good team building activity as these clues often require more than one person. The only hint I can give you is be observant, from the time you call to book your slot, until you successfully break out of the room ;)
What are you waiting for go check these guys out! Oh and by the way, they make you delicious cocktails afterwards for free… Seriously for less than 30 bucks get on it!

So much fun! I wish I would’ve done Diamond Heist, next time I come back to Miami, I’m totally doing it.

This has definitely been our favorite exit game in the states. The clues were very logical and sequential, but not dumbed down (no color-​coding here). We were delightfully surprised by the physical changes in the space — everything is not what it appears. Nice! We will definitely be back! We are not sure why other, not-​as-​good Miami rooms are better known.
Side note: we don’t like to play with others, so we waited and snagged a time where all tickets were available, so it was just us.

My friends and I wanted to do something different in Miami and had heard of Qquest. We decided to check it out and were very happy that we did.
We did the Diamond Heist room and had soo much fun. We had to put our minds together, work as a team and bounce ideas off each other to make it out on time.
It was great and we plan to go back to check out the panic room.

So what if you’re a Mensa member?! Work together as a team, and maybe you’ll figure it all out. Really a great way to spend an hour on a weekend night. Check it out — you won’t regret it. Our host George made it an even more fabulous experience. Btw — the entrance to the place is on James St… the building’s on the NE corner of James & Lincoln. Happy puzzling!
