Girard Middleton is the founder of SoBe Surf, located in Miami Beach and Cocoa Beach, FL. Girard founded SoBe Surf in 2002 (one of the first Surf schools on in Florida), and SoBe Surf & SUP in 2005 as one of the first SUP companies and a pioneer of the sport on the East Coast.

I bought my fiancé a gift certificate for a private surf lesson here for his birthday. We scheduled for a Saturday morning and received a call the night before that the instructor was sick and they needed to reschedule. Okay, that’s fine things happen… So they rescheduled him for the following Saturday morning. We double confirmed with SOBE SURF the day before the rescheduled lesson and they confirmed his lesson was all set for the following day with an instructor named Margot. My fiancé woke up super early on the Saturday of his lesson, drove all the way to the meeting spot on the beach and GOT STOOD UP BY THE INSTRUCTOR MARGOT! No call, no email… She just didn’t show up! Who does that?! He contacted the main office who couldn’t get ahold of the instructor either. They issued a refund in return.

I have wanted to learn how to surf for a long time .
Contacted Margot at sobe Surf she manages the company and asked for a surfing lesson.
Met this great girl Tayler at 1 and ocean dr on Sobe who for an hour and a half very patiently and professionally tried to teach me how to get up on the board. It was so much fun almost want to get my own board and Tayler is a professional athlete so she really knows what she is doing and very passionate about it. Can, t wait to try it again it is totally addicting !!!
