We went to Shepherds every single day we were at Miami Beach. Their Egg Croissant was out of this world and then there was the Cappuccino ! great service always greeted with a smile and the service was fast.

The service is extremely poor; the staff can give you rude looks and theu lose patience easily. The baked goods are good but the staff does not speak English so it is hard to communicate with them. The labels on the baked goods are sometimes incorrect.

Just«coffee» rather than«artisan». We tried the banana cake and it was quite dry for a homemade pastry :(. The chai latte was good but too sweet in the end.

Came in to escape the rain on a Monday afternoon. I ordered a mocha latte. Beautiful presentation and not too sweet, which I really love. I did have to stir it a lot as there were clumps of chocolate at the bottom. They have pretty cute décor with the bookshelves in the back. I also liked that they had some fancy flavored water for free for their customers. One thing that was weird was that they were in the middle of cleaning. Like boxes littering the ground and going through stock or something. We had to step over boxes. Not like that is so much of an inconvenience, it is just that there were no apologies for it. I just feel like large scale cleanings like that should maybe be done after hours.

High quality and very clean coffee shop. They bake some of their pastries in the oven which means product should be fresh. I didnt try the pastries though. Excellent cappuccino and mocha.

No better way to start your day then an espresso or cappuccino, and one of their on-the-premises baked items. Or a magnificent breakfast. Simone and the rest of the crew each bake, and it is all wonderful. Well, okay the rum balls(they call it something else) is my favorite. The crew is friendly, helpful, and they significantly enhance the experience. Shepherd Artisan is a major reason I stay within walking distance when I visit South Beach.

I stop by at least twice a week for a sweet chai latte and a savory acai bowl. I’ve tried every sandwich on the menu because they’re prepared to perfection.(and also it’s right down the street from my job) It’s a quaint spot in the heart of South Beach. They offer a library to read while you’re there. They have indoor seating for rainy days and outdoor seating for the occasional smoke. But the reason why I always return is the favorable service. The staff treats everyone with respect and they work very hard to maintain the high quality that the beach demands. All around fantastic.

Set up is a little weird in this place. It’s very long and narrow with not many places to sit inside. It was *surprise* raining outside, so avoided sitting out there. This place felt more like a kitchen than a coffee shop. Luckily it wasn’t busy inside. The coffee itself was tasty. I had an iced frap because I was feeling like a fatty that day. And yes, it fulfilled my fatty needs in a delicious way. Another positive was that the frap was not just ice. Plenty of places put too much ice in it when they blend it, but they got it right. The hot mocha was also pretty good. It was a nice little stop to get out of the rain.

We had some great mid-afternoon affogatos and lattes here. First and foremost, the quality of the coffee is excellent. The baristas weren’t able to provide us with low-fat milk, though we weren’t sure whether this was a temporary inventory issue or a pursuit of full-fat milk purism. The tables outside are a nice touch, and the street is less overwhelming than Ocean Drive is. There was a bit of confusion getting info on how to use the wifi, and in the end we weren’t able to connect.

This is a really cute place. They do latte art. It’s not super big but it nice for the people that like coffee shops. They have other pastries and goods available and tables outside. They serve the food in cute baskets.

So disappointed! I used to come here couple of times a week. What happened with the bagel of around $ 3?! They charged me $ 5.50 for a plain bagel. The coffee… used to be my favorote thing here. Definitely not anymore, it tasted so poor yesterday, washed and burned. It seems to me the guys don’t have any idea what they’re doing in the bar. No, thanks, i prefer to go back to the old and good Pinocchio just around the corner.

Wasn’t impressed. Breakfast this morning was a disaster. The could be due to the fact that Art Basel is coming up and maybe they were more busy than normal but here is what went wrong: 1. The pagers didn’t work 2. My friend and I ordered the omelet combo and the croissant/bagel didn’t come out at the same time as the rest of the food 3. Drinks didn’t come out at the same time 4. They forget the vanilla in my vanilla latte 5. They forgot the salad dressing on my friend’s salad 6. There was no cheese in my cheese/vegetable omelet that I paid extra for … Fortunately the employees were eager to fix their mistakes but I wasn’t interested in wasting any more time by the time I realized the issue with the omelet. 2 stars because everyone that worked there was friendly and the quality of the food was good. It’s possible it was an off day, but I’d be reluctant to return.

My two star rating is based on the fact that I would not go back. I am surprised by all of the positive reviews. My second star is for the ambiance and décor. The place had the look of a 4 or 5 star place, but food did not impress. When we tried to order a custom omelet the cashier/waiter looked at us with confusion. We decided not to rock the boat and ordered the Omelet Combo and from the minute it slipped off my tongue I regretted it. Just didn’t sound appetizing. I understand that this is more of a coffee shop and that I should haven’t expected a traditional gluttonous breakfast from back home in Jersey, but on vacation I want to pay for satisfaction. Wasn’t satisfied. The eggs looked and tasted boring and were possibly egg beaters. «Omelet combo?» Hardly. Had to add toppings for 50 cents each so how can you call it an «omelet combo?» Also, salad with breakfast.boo. Shame on me though. Lenders bagel on the side. Shame on me again. Ended with a cold brew that was ok. The menu says small and large and when I asked for a small the cashier again confusingly corrected me with«medium?» — uh no small like the menu says, «so medium?» — sure. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Won’t be fooled again.

Stumbled upon this place from Unilocal reviewers below me. Decided to do breakfast here with my wife one morning. +Don’t try and order anything that ISNT on the menu. I wanted a simple egg/cheese/ham omelette. When trying to convey that to the waiter/cashier, he looked at me like I had five heads. It always baffles me how restaurants have all of the ingredients that you want in their meals, but when you try and take them separately and have something you’d like, they«can’t do it.» +No ketchup. At all. Like they don’t even carry it. Don’t care if you don’t like it or not, if you offer eggs as a meal, you should have it for those that do. +The breakfast combo wasn’t bad(eggs, small Mediterranean salad on the side, bagel), however it was solely eggs. Nothing else. No cheese. No topping. Just two eggs. Ehhhhhhhh… +Coffee is where this place shines. Their cappuccino was delicious: fresh, hot, and original. Points for that. There are much better BREAKFAST spots in the area, tough, so if your aim is a filling meal — This isn’t your spot.

5 stars for the cappuccino. 4 stars for the latte with vanilla syrup. Was not very hot and was too sweet for me.

On a rainy Miami day we headed hear to escape the weather, and found quite the gem. This place is amazing! Perfectly made European style omelettes, perfect pastries and seriously good coffee. It was so good we came back the next day. Definitely give this place a try!

I tried the chai my first time here. As a local I was excited for something besides Aroma and Starbucks. While the chai was good, it tasted more like horchata than the chai I’m used to. Also, for over $ 6 I probably won’t order again. Cute place, but I must have ordered the wrong thing. Next time I’ll stick to the coffee!

Nothing can be more enjoyable than sitting under the sun with a cup of cappuccino in hand. Best thing to start a brand new day! Decoration inside the room was also memorable, candles on the wall, bookshelf filled with books, mixed with aroma from the oven. Every single piece was just so adorable. Come and visit if you still have some spare time in Miami beach and you will love here.
