Dr. Rivlin has been my skin doctor for many years.
Dr. Rivlin is an excellent doctor. He wastes no time. He is direct yet gentle. He performed Mohs surgery on my facial skin cancer along with a skin graft procedure and after about a year the graft is almost unnoticeable even though it sits on top of my nose and the side of my cheek.
I completely trust him on checking every single corner of my skin when doing the checks for other potential troublesome areas. He also takes care of my son’s and my step-daughter’s skin issues and I am happy with that too.
Office is very clean, wait time average and personnel and assistants are always polite and very nice.

Today is Tuesday September 16^th, 2014. Although I am a new patient I know both
Dr. Rivlin and Dr. Katz personally. I called their office today because I had a bit of a painfully dermatological need, after speaking to an assistant by the name of Lupe I was basically told there was zero availability to see any Doctors at all the rest of this week (she put me on hold, I’m assuming to verify with another person as well). I am personally taken aback by the little attempt to retain a new patient who explained their need for help. Lupe was dismissive and did nothing to avoid losing a new patient or to put me on a waiting list at the very least (although irrelevant I do have excellent PPO insurance). It is a real shame as I know both Doctors in a much different light and know they would disapprove of the level of service provided.

Dr. Rivlin is an amazing surgeon, and I am so grateful to have been treated by such an experienced and compassionate doctor, along with his amazing staff for my Mohs surgery.
I was quite nervous when my dermatologist informed me that the spot on my nose which was biopsied came back positive, and that I was in need of Mohs surgery to remove the spot. My mom who was previously treated by Dr. Rivlin advised me that he is the «best of the best,» and if there is another surgeon who is in need of treatment for their own problem, they would probably choose Dr. Rivlin as «their» surgeon. He has quite an impressive resume.
From the moment I went for my initial consultation, I was put at ease when Dr. Rivlin explained the procedure to me, the high rate of success of this treatment, and discovering how many patients he successfully treats in his office each year for basal cell carcinoma. I had my procedure done a little more than a week ago. Although I needed stitches on my nose after the surgery (my nose was covered with a skin colored tape so the stitches were hidden), my procedure was uneventful, fast and relatively painless!
I just went back for my post-​treatment examination, where Dr. Rivlin advised me that everything went perfectly and my nose has healed completely.
I am very thankful to Dr. Rivlin, his excellent staff, and a big thank you to Norma (one of his very experienced and compassionate nurses) who was keeping me informed during the whole process, giving me words of encouragement, and even holding my hand at times, which made me feel I was with my family!
