Great service. Great drinks. Great Italian spot on española way. Definitely underrated. If you’re looking for authenticity, this is the place. Sexy, cool, and authentic.

Food was ok, but the sloooooowest service imaginable. Dinner took two and a half hours, and all we ordered were main courses. No appetizers. No desserts.

Service: Not good at all, i had to ask for water multiple times… Walk past my table to service others more frequently even though there was only 1OTHERTABLE! Price: Not worth it Quality: Great food but overall not worth the wait and service you put up with for it.

A lot of money for a little food. The service was quick but you’ll pay a lot for a little pasta that’s not anything special. Pick somewhere else to eat on this street. There’s plenty of other options. The place was empty for a reason, and if it needs two hostesses to pull people in it needs help.

So, so bad. I cannot believe this place is anything but a scam. The prices are outrageous for what they sell. The caesar salad was mostly just shredded lettuce(that you would find on a taco), and was supposed to come with chicken(as the menu said) but didn’t. I watched the«host» catcall and basically harass a group of women as they passed on the street. Disgusting. I cannot fathom that they have a place in NY, must be run a whole lot differently to be able to survive in Soho. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. And to top it all off, we get the check and two of the items were priced significantly higher than on the menu. When we politely pointed this out to our waiter, he told us that our menu was probably wrong, probably the lunch menu. Give me a break. Why we would even see a lunch menu at 11pm is beyond me. He adjusted our check, and we got out of there as quickly as we could. Awful! The one star rating is generous, I wish I knew to avoid this place.

The service was pathetic. We actually had to leave because the food was not served even after waiting 50 minutes during which people who came after us were served and left. It is not worth taking the risk to figure out which group of people you fall into.

What is up with this place? I have never been to a restaurant with such terrible service. I don’t know if the server drank his brain away on New Years or if he is actually this bad. On multiple occasions he would forgot to bring out items we ordered. It took him literally 25 minutes to bring the wine. People got into arguments with them because they were so slow and disorganized. The whole restaurant is about 85 degrees and just a terrible mess. I was staying optimistic as I figured the food would at least be good… To complete my disappointment the food was as bad as the service. It took almost 2 hours to complete dinner here in which time I saw about 3 tables leave. This place is the most dis functional restaurant I have ever seen. I want to say so much more but it’s not even worth the words. Basically just stay away from Piccolo Cucina.

Please don’t pass up this place:) we had a very pleasant experience there from our waiter to the food. We enjoyed our grilled Octopus salad and seafood pasta. We went during the night and sat inside because the weather outside was hot. Once we were seated, I was amazed at how a place so little can look so nice:) it was gorgeous and not crowded. I will definitely go back to this nice little hidden restaurant on Espanola Way:)

We stumbled upon this place while strolling down Espanola Way(Side note: Hostesses will approach you while strolling down this street to pitch their restaurant to you… which is how we ended up eating here… the hostess was a cute, little Italian girl who we just couldn’t say«no» to). It rained earlier tonight, but, cleared up enough for us to eat outside on the street. My husband noticed a slight«odor» in the air when we sat down, which smelled like a mixture of urine and garbage. Tables were small, chairs were uncomfortable, and the music was loud(which sounded like a «battle of the bands» when the restaurant next store had a band start playing). They did offer us two complimentary glasses of wine. I ordered the lasagna(which was a «special» and turned out to be $ 27). But… it was DELICIOUS! Second best lasagna I’ve ever had(next to getting it homemade in Italy). My husband had the fettuccine with Gorgonzola cream sauce(which had bacon in it). Also, VERYDELICIOUS! Portions were small, but, enough to satisfy. Pasta was definitely homemade. Overall, we gave the restaurant 3 stars because of poor service. We usually overlook the little negative, nit-picky things… but, the service was SO slow. The food came out fast. But, the actual server seemed to disappear… often. We had to keep flagging him down when he did appear. But, the food was delicious! Definitely authentic, homemade Italian food!

If you’re going to Hispanola Way, definitely don’t pass up this place. It’s small, but the food is really good. I’ve only ever been there with a large group of people(which was fun!), but it definitely has an intimate feel. Great date night spot! Definitely order the carbonara if that’s you’re sauce, and for starters the bruschetta. :-)

We went here because it was close to our hotel in South Beach. It is off Espanola street which is a bit of a tourist trap, but it is very pretty. The food was good, but expensive. I had the bolognese and it was average. I wouldn’t come back to this restaurant, but I would not deter anyone from going.

This place is a scam. They told us we would get one free glass of wine with our meal. We wanted to sit down and enjoy the night time weather while snacking on appetizers and sipping on wine. We ordered and shared the fried octopus as an appetizer. And got a glass each of wine. Come time to pay the bill we were charged for the glasses of wine. When asked, he said we both had to order dinners for it to be valid. The free wine voucher we were given had no small print or anything on it that said we had to order a meal. Our waiter was rude and barely checked up on us. The octopus was subpar and such a tiny portion. Would never ever come back here or recommend it to anyone. Being an italian this is a disgrace to our people. We are warm and welcoming people. This restaurant was far from that. bottom line: eat else where and don’t fall for the tourist scam we fell for.

This is your worst place, we came and they told us to wait for 5 to 10 mins. We waited for 40 mins! We saw them seating people who came after us just because they were more than us! We asked for the manager who knew what’s going on and saw us but didn’t stop to talk and ignored us! None of the staff respected us Only if I could put minus 5 starts, I would do it!

Very disappointed! I was looking forward to having dinner on this unique street in Miami Beach. Selected this place based on some of your reviews and was greatly disappointed. We started out with Arncini Balls(rice balls) tasty but dry could use marinara dip to go along with it. My friend and I ordered our main courses, mine was a Lamb Ragu and pasta — this dish did not taste like lamb — more like sloppy-jo mix with pasta. My friend ordered a simple Fillet — Medium rare — the first try came out well — completely gray in the middle — so he sent it back — came back with another basically seared on the outside with the inside still cold. His side was mashed potatoes that tasted like instant. The wait staff was good and tried to accommodate on behalf of their cooking staff — but unfortunately they were not able to rectify. The didn’t charge us for the Fillet meal and that was appreciated. Hopefully you all have a better meal.

I typically stay away from Española way. Too many tourists and too many tourist traps. However, Piccola Cucina is not a tourist trap. The food is excellent and the place is nice. The menu is very good, very Italian and unfortunately so is the service. Slow, slow, slow. Sometimes even rude. Its just like Italy which means hit or miss. The quality of your service depends on the server and their mood. Fortunately the food is great either way.

Tonight my family and I celebrated our daughter-in-laws birthday dinner. Our server Nicholas was excellent– his knowledge about the menu, specials of the day made it easy to make our choices! The dinner was great. The steak meals were cooked to everyone’s liking, the pesto pasta was delicious and tasty and I had the Mahi which was equally excellent. We purchased the bottle Pino Grigio that went perfect with our meal! Will definitely go again!

Service got off to slow start. I came with a group that had reservations for a Prix fixe dinner scheduled to start at 8:00. We were finally served appetizersat 9:30pm. Then we waited another 35 min for our entrees. It seemed that they were not prepared for a large group even though we had reservations. The owner offered a free dessert beverage as compensation. That was a nice gesture. Once the dinner was over, I finally went home and was sick from the food.
