I had surgery with Dr. Tiller to address a deformity that he claimed he could correct. His procedure made it much worse and I required three surgeries from a competent surgeon to correct his blunders. He lacks the aesthetic skills needed for this role.

I had a breast augmentation and a lipo with him in 2011
worst mistake ! After the lipo my tummy was full of ripples. I had to get a breast reconstruction since the implants weren’t put properly. They were put up to my collar bone, making me look deformed plus the huge horrible zigzag scars. A year after i asked him for my medical records which by law he has no choice to give them to me. He started ignoring my calls. When i called from another phone his assistant would answer which is very shady in my opinion ! I had to file a complaint with the medical board then again i emailed him and told him that i contacted the medical board, he miraculously answer my email and said he would send my records if i would send him a 100 $ then after making my research i told him he can only charge me between 25 cent to 1 dollar per page and come on they were only like 8 pages. Anyways, i got the document i needed to get my reconstruction surgery with a great surgeon in New York city, I am finally happy.

About 8 years ago i had a cosmetic procedure done by Dr. Tiller. The result was great and i’ve thought of going back for more but i’m held back by how poor his bedside manner was. He was seemingly cold and indifferent to immediate post-​operative care. (He wasn’t so good in the preinterview but no red flags.)
I was in brutal pain but because he didn’t tell me to bring the prescribed pain meds with me (a key piece of info for someone who had never had surgery before). So when I awoke from surgery, I was shocked when he told me he couldn’t administer or prescribe from his medical suite. I had them in my hotel room 1 block away but i was immobilized on a slab. He and his assistants refused to medicate me in the office suite and wouldn’t send anyone down the block to retrieve them. I was literally SCREAMING in pain and… nothing. (I had a friend who was supposed to be with me post-​care and his flight was delayed). My friend positively hated the doc. once he met him.
Later, the doc came to my hotel room (but had to be called several times to do so) to check the dressing on the surgical site and he couldn’t have been colder. He was in a tuxedo and clearly was on his way somewhere. I think i even saw him roll his eyes when i asked him a question about the pain before he hurried off.
And aftercare? Not a single call from him or anyone is his office about how i was doing. I’ve been told since – by a doctor I told this story to– Tiller’s behavior is a severe breach of accepted ethics.
All in, if you’re expecting Marcus Welby, MD, Dr. Tiller is definitely not that.

In 2006 I had abdominal and flank lipo with him. He warned me in advance that he’s more aggressive with Lipo on men, as this leaves us with more muscular definition. I have a decent level of pain tolerance but this was INSANE. I spent 2 days in writhing pain, bleeding all over a hotel bed, unable to eat, communicate, sit up, let alone walk. I developed a post-​operative hematoma & he had to do a stab-​incision to open it up & release all of the blood & this «stab» left a scar on my pelvis that remains to this day (3 years later). I have ripples on my stomach & flanks. The results are dreadful. I missed 3 weeks of work (he said I be back in a week.) I lost so much blood that it took over a month for my body to recover the loss! When I flew home, I couldn’t stand– they needed to wheel me on & off the plane. When I called him to express concerns, HE YELLED AT ME– told me that I was being a child and unreasonable. He’s a TERRIBLE surgeon & a worse human being. He shouldn’t be operating!
