after 3 months of waiting this god damn hotel did not have «amc» on their damn tv channel line up! they ruined my whole damn stay! unbelievable! they do not understand how *&^#$ pissed i am! i had to miss the mid-​season premier of the walking dead after waiting for so damn long because of this stupid hotel! i hope if $**#!!@ burns down… after i leave of course!!!

Dirty, noisy, construction. Pool is drained, yet still charge resort fee over $ 25 per day. Courtyard rooms reverberate with dance music all night. Smoke alarm went off in hallway at 1:30am. Buffet breakfast was fine, nothing special, except location

I would give 2.5 if I could. I did not feel this hotel was worth the cost. They said newly renovated, but they were still doing construction. The room was a good size but it did not feel luxurious. You definitely pay for the location. Our room was clean, and even though the king size bed was just 2 twin beds strapped together, it was very comfortable. It came with a free breakfast, which had more than an average continental breakfast. The other reviews say it was very loud, but it was quiet in the room we got. It was nice with the crazy partying right downstairs, but being able to sleep comfortably. The staff was very nice. The housekeeper Jacqueline M. Was very helpful. We actually used the fitness center. The room came with coffee and water, which was very nice. They also had bikes we could barrow, but we didn’t get a chance. All and all it wasn’t a bad stay, but I would not come back.

If you need a place to sleep and like to go to bed at night then this is not the hotel for you. If you are out til 3AM during the week or 5AM on the weekends then this is the ideal spot for you. My room was facing the courtyard and the music was so loud that I had to leave. The staff was nice and the room was clean.

This hotel is awful! I checked in and the air conditioner was not working in the room. After reporting the problem, I went out, and a few hours, when I returned it was fixed. Then, sometime after 1am, it stopped working again.
Meanwhile, my room is on the second floor, just above the hotels club. It is now 4:01am, and my room is literally shaking from the noise and music, which has gotten louder as the night has progressed. This room is not at all sound proofed, and I have gotten no sleep whatsoever.
I am utterly disappointed!

and they act like its a great deal but there’s no way this was a $ 500 room in off season. I paid hotwire $ 200 and had to shell out an additional $ 20 to the hotel for a resort fee but that got me nada! There is terrible music playing all night right outside the room and when we arrived at 4:40 pm on a saturday they didn’t have the valet set up so we parked a garage 5 blocks up and had to take a über to the hotel. The bathroom was lovely but the drain in the shower was clogged. Ugh. Also the ice machine was broken so I had to schlep to another floor for ice. Super slow almost non existent wifi.

Visiting southbeach and I stopped here because it looked decent. Ordered a ceviche and red wine. Ceviche for $ 20 and only 6 stale chips with funky fish, even the citrus couldn’t cover up how nasty it was. Drank my wine and only took a few bites of the grub.
Waited 30 minutes for the check and was literally walking out before the lady stopped me. I offered to pay for the wine but not the ceviche. It’s been 20 minutes and I’m puking in hotel room right now. Do not eat here!

MIAMI 2015–
Just checked out of hotel yesterday! Beautiful place, the rooms are beautifully designed. And very spacious. We had room 430 which was located at the corner of Ocean & 10^th, we were able to see Clevelander bar, and view of the ocean. If u trying to relax, this is not the room for u because of the noise level. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the staff was really nice & I thought it was great for the staff to accommodate us very short notice after having to leave another hotel. Everyone this hotel is great & you should consider if ever in Miami!!!

I absolutely loved my stay. The location is perfect, everything is walking distance. The Cleavlander next door is a little to «hood» for me, but that’s just one of MANY options available in the area. Reading some of these reviews seems like I stayed at a different hotel than them. My room was very nice and much up to date. The bathroom was my favorite part of the room, I wish I had that shower back home. My only gripe with this place was when checking out, they only had one employee at the desk. She tried to work as fast as she could, but she definitely needed help. Other than that, the hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

This place does not come close to Clevelander. Owner not pumping money in here. Carpeting in hallways old and worn out. Rooms are not nearly as modern and hip as Clevelander.
Place needs a lot of remodeling. It is the 21^st Century, not 1974.

I believe that my standards are what a normal customer would expect. So maybe this review will help you. When you first approach the hotel you have to wade through the staff working the sidewalk crowd. Of course, Ocean St. Is known for the hectic pace and liveliness of the crowd. So once in the hotel the staff is young and inexperienced. Most appear and respond to questions as if they have never received training or worked in a high end hotel.
I was here for a conference so the rates were $ 259 a night plus resort fees?! Should disclose resort fees prior to booking.
So what do you get for $ 300 a night? Not much! The hallway carpets were so nasty that the stains made their own pattern. The room was updated boutique style however again the carpet was still dirty. The bathroom sink either had corrosion or toothpaste stuck to it. Either way, it had not seen a cleaning rag in a while. The grout in the show had discoloration from lack of cleaning. The metal trim to the shower door was black with dirt. Simple put the place needs a deep clean!
If you’re looking for a quiet place please run far from here. No matter what room you are given the noise from the clubs will rock your room.
As for the morning breakfast, it’s bland and plane. You can do better at most restaurants in the area. The connivence may be better.
The restaurant plays by deception. You will be offered 20% discount for staying at the hotel. However, once your bill arrive you will be informed of the exceptions that apply., such as desert. Really?
Also, all meals and drinks are charged a standard 20% gratuity fee no matter how many are being served. There’s no incentive for the staff to give you great service.

Okay — so I read the warnings about the noise factor at this hotel and thought… well it is South Beach so I am sure I can deal with it. However, the noise is unbelievable!!! When we checked in, the lady asked if we wanted to be in a quieter section of the hotel to which we responded, yes. What we didn’t know is that she proceeded to put us in the loudest part of the hotel… and when I say loud — I mean it sounds like the outdoor nightclub across the street is in your room. The Clevelander Hotel has an outdoor club that goes from about 11:00 am to 5:00 am. The music gets louder at night and so does the DJ. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. My friend and I got no sleep. We asked to be moved the next day and were told we couldn’t because they were at100% capacity. We proceeded to go out and buy earplugs for the next two nights.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the great location, but I doubt they have many return customers. I don’t mind dealing with some noise, but this is ridiculous and I don’t know how they get away with renting the rooms out that face 10^th street.
I wouldn’t stay here again even if it was $ 50 a night.
I felt bad for the staff having to deal with the noise complaints because I heard it happening every time I passed through the lobby. With the exception of the lady who said she would put us in the «quiet» part of the hotel, the rest of the staff was very nice.

Yes it’s loud. It’s SoBe people! My sister and I stayed here for a quick pre birthday mini vacay. GREAT LOCATION! Right in the middle of EVERYTHING! We loved sitting outside and just watching the world go by. Yes — the service at the restaurant could be improved, but I don’t really have any complaints. Totally digged the 20% discount if you were a guest at the hotel. Our room was right next to Ocean’s Ten which is the restaurant that is literally in the middle of the hotel. They had a live band every night so getting ready for the night out was so much fun as we danced in our room.
So if you’re looking for a quiet spot with less action — this is not your place. But if you’re in SoBe to be in SoBe — totally recommend!

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE of staying at the Esplendor Breakwater hotel in South Beach!
I stayed at this hotel on 3÷15÷15−3÷17÷15. I placed three jackets in the hotel closet and failed to repack them in my luggage when I left. Within 24 hours, I called the hotel and reported the jackets missing. With 100% certainty, the jackets were in the closet. The hotel staff couldn’t have been any slower in responding to my numerous phone calls and emails in regards to the missing jackets. In the end, my jackets were never found and there was no offer of a reimbursement. I was so disappointed about how I was treated in regards to this matter. Juan Vargas, hotel manager, offered me nothing more than an apology.
In addition to the jacket incident, I had many other complaints about my experience. From a dirty shower to delayed response to requests, I could list a dozen items where the Esplendor breakwater hotel failed to meet my expectations.
DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Booked this South Beach hotel through expedia. This hotel is in the middle of SB and central to a lot of the fun people choose the area for. Lots of resturants, night life, shopping, people watching, and a great beach.
The nights I was there I saw families and couples. They have bike rentals and a small pool neither of which I took advantage of. My room was spacious and Art Deco furnished.
They offer a 20% discount if you are dining at the Resturant on the ground floor. The food is very good like every place Ocean Drive.
Right next door is a bar that stays open till four and has live dancers encouraging and entertaining the crowd. If you came to Miami to sleep you need to go somewhere else. Your in Miami B&$@#
They need to service the lobby bathrooms more frequently after hours otherwise I would have given five stars. But the hotel is very clean and well managed otherwise.

I came here while I was on vacation visiting my boyfriend and tried Unilocaling down a nice place to eat at but everything around this area is expensive. It’s right next to a beach, what can we expect. I got a chicken and bacon sandwich with some fries. They had a pretty big portion for what I expected. It costed me about $ 18 for just the sandwich and I totally thought they were just going to skimp out on the fries. It was okay, it wasn’t like an amazing sandwich but the view is nice! I ate out with a couple of friends and tried their foods as well like: Fettucine Alfredo, the cuban sandwich, and a caesar salad. It was pretty okay/​good, I might come back again but I would definitely try to check out different restauranst first.

Adorably! We ate here and we loved! Everything was great. The food, drinks, ambience and the waiter Miguel was especially attentive!

I do not recommend this hotel.
Positives: location, front desk staff friendly, clean rooms and c.o.bigelow bath products
Negatives: live music till 12:30 am that you can hear from your bed, the WORST complimentary breakfast ever ($ 1 store white bread, goopy eggs, and Tampico punch ‘we can’t drink real oj in Florida?’). For breakfast they played really dated hiphop and club music so loud to draw attention to their restaurant. Pretty tacky.
