Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach

PLEASE visit this establishment. The food is absolutely delightful. The yellow tail jalapeño is mouth watering and so satisfying. I eat raw food and this dish is the best I have ever experienced. Chef Nino then sent out additional mouthwatering culinary cuisines of salmon yellow tail and olive oil… OMG. thank you Chef for putting ur spirit in ur craft. Thank you for our wonderful attentive server Cliff that made sure all out needs were met. Oh… the hotel accom. Are hot as hell also.

After making the decision that girls weekend trip was going to be in Miami we began our search for a great hotel deal. The decision was quick to stay close to the shopping of Bal Harbour and away from the crazy night life of South Beach since both of us were looking for a rather quieter and tamer weekend away.
We found the deal for Eden on a hotel mobile app and quickly booked. Once we arrived we were surprised with an amazingly generous offer to be upgraded! We were upgraded to a suite on the 9^th floor with a view of the ocean. This was so greatly appreciated and needed!
Overall the hotel was pretty quiet with only one conference in attendance. The staff was very attentive to our small requests. The only downfall was that there wasn’t many options for food within the hotel. The perk was that we were next to the Foutainebleau and the opportunity to walk over for a bite to eat was easy.
I wouldn’t mind staying here again since the pools and beach are not crowded and the rooms are spacioius and very clean.

We stayed here for a girls trip after reaching the sad but true conclusion that our days of enjoying the nightlife of South Beach are over. Not that I care, because there is so much more of Miami I am ready to explore and staying in Mid Beach this time, was just what I wanted.
Upon check-​in, we were informed that we had been upgraded to an Oceanfront SUITE! Our room was on the 9^th floor and it was a corner unit offering expansive views of the ocean and beach. The room itself was gorgeous and the bathroom stocked with Nest products!
The Eden Roc itself is a lovely hotel. It’s definitely on the quieter side in comparison to the very famous hotel next door. However, I appreciated the quiet. I have a 7.5 month old at home, and quiet has become a newfound luxury. I also appreciated not having to fight for a spot pool side or a million people in the pool and hot tub when I wanted to be there.
I do wish that the hotel had more dining options. Other than Nobu (which gets very mediocre reviews on Unilocal,and why we opted to cancel our reservation here) and the hotel lobby bar (very expensive for small portions) not much is offered for guests. No wonder we spent so much time and money for food and snacks at the very famous hotel next door!
The hotel is currently under renovations, and it looks like some new dining options are in the works. I am curious to see how it will change because I am sure I will stay at the Eden Roc again.
Random Note: What’s with the huge Lindsay Lohan photos near the lobby?

First time visiting Miami beach and came here because my friend suggested to try out Eden roc so I did. Honestly I loved it so much I had a room with a balcony view so I saw the whole view of the beach. The rooms were super clean the hotel it’s self was clean. Loved the staff and pool side and beach side of the hotel was beautiful. The hotel was so close to everything we visited. Definitely made it a good experience due to the hotel and would come back to stay at the Eden roc the next time i come. I highly suggest this hotel if your looking to stay somewhere.

My stay at the Eden Roc hotel was absolutely nothing but stellar! No, everything wasn’t perfect but the overall experience went so well that I absolutely can not complain.
Upon arriving we were thrown for a loop by the $ 450 deposit due to using a debit card as we didn’t remember this being told to us during booking in which we booked via telephone. The front desk attendant Julia sympathized for how this effected our trips spending money and spoke with a manager to review or options, we greatly appreciated her.
Valet was very good with moving the cars as good as they could, even with a prom going on they did a good job of keeping things in rotation. I, however, would suggest calling down from your room whenever you’re ready to leave the property so that your car is ready for you.
Our room was PHENOMENAL! The view was nothing less than breathtaking! As we had a corner room our balcony was huge and I was a bit disappointed we were only given two chairs and a small table as outdoor furniture, we would’ve loved to be able to lay out together on the balcony. Very spacious room though and the bathroom was an absolute dream come true. The iHomes in the room do have a dated port and ours didn’t work at all.
With our package we had two complimentary beach chairs that we used daily. One day I lost my phone on the beach and just knew it was a goner. I went to my room and used find my iPhone and the manager called to return my phone almost immediately which I was ecstatic about because I know some would have kept it. The beach service, the water sports, the customer service in general was absolutely amazing. This will be my go to resort whenever I come to Miami.
I am also, like a previous Unilocaler said, confused about the large Lindsay Lohan photos in the lobby though. Lol

If you are looking for a resort that is beautiful, clean, and relaxing, the Eden Roc is perfect. If you’re looking for a South Beach party scene, you should consider elsewhere.
We hosted an event here and the service was very good– ESPECIALLY Adalberto Giordano, one of the banquet bartenders. He was so sweet and made killer drinks.

I haven’t actually begun my stay yet, but I have called 7 times and written an e-​mail to the recreation department over the course of the past few days to reserve a cabana and still haven’t heard back. This does not bode well for the upcoming stay…
3 days later: 14 calls to resort (sometimes they answer, sometimes they don’)t; another e-​mail message, a handwritten message for a manager to call me back within 30 minutes, called again, promised a return call in 15 more…
I’m serious, people. This is all to rent a cabana at the resort.

We had a great stay here. Rooms are nice and comfortable and the food was very good at the hotel restaurants. Staff was all very friendly. I wish they had a gift shop to buy snacks and stuff.

This is a good location for events. There are multiple areas for indoor and outdoor group meals. There are multiple pools and easy access to a trail along the beach. The employees are friendly. The only down side is their luggage pick up area and valet. They seemed to be a little understaffed so the wait time was a it long. Overall this is a very nice location.

I stayed at Eden Roc for a conference Monday-​Thursday, and it was just about a 2.5 star experience. The building is ostensibly an older hotel more recently converted to it’s current state, and there is still significant building work going on.
The lobby is a round, open space with huge ceilings centered around the lobby bar. Quieter music during the day and a bit of a thump after 5pm dominate this area, so it’s okay. You can order food at the bar from the on site Nobu, which is a plus, but it was generally quiet during my visit.
Nobu is really the only indoor dining option here. They also serve breakfast and buffet lunch here. It’s very good, as one would expect from Nobu, but perhaps not at the same grade as some of the standalone Nobu restaurants I have been to.
There is a pool bar and restaurant that serves basic poolside fare. If you sit at the restaurant, you get it on a plate. If you order from your lounger, it comes unceremoniously boxed and in a paper bag. Not great.
The other facilities were reasonable enough. Neither the gym nor the conference facilities will blow you away — simply adequate.
I had a suite in the legendary tower. It wasn’t exactly a suite — just a larger standard room with a couch, but the bathroom was very spacious and well appointed. My balcony was «ocean view», but really overlooked a parking lot and rooftop with the ocean somewhere in the distant horizon. Underwhelming.
The staff were, however, the best part of the experience. They simply couldn’t do enough to help from check-​in to bell to waitstaff. Big plus.
I wouldn’t bother staying here again unless I simply had to — there are better options not too far away from here.

The service was great, and the food was excellent. For business is a quiet place, and You can have a good conversation. My charger disappear from my car at the parking, but they apology and replace it right away. I recommend this place.

The Lobby is pretty and the front desk people are nice. The old rattled elevator took us to our floor where the walls and floors were dirty. We got into our 200sq room poorly furnished and dated. Our window overlooking the conference center roof. There is a weird heavy barn style bathroom door too heavy to open easily. I have banged my shins on the weird bed frame multiple times. The tv reception is miserable. The big shower is nice.
All the pools/​hot tubs close at 7pm and there is little to do nearby. If you get hungry plan a trip to find a place because this is the most expensive room service I have ever seen. Fried chicken for$ 36 plus $ 5 delivery plus 22% service fee.
I have enjoyed a budget hotel room more.

Takes my breath Away!
Well I meet the spectacular staff at Eden Roc Lyle Ochoa and Guest Services Supervisor Othniel Legis. I told them I am viewing rooms for my upcoming trip and honestly the oceanfront views, king suite and one bed room setting with balcony took my breath away. The more catered service at this place seems just what I am looking for… I can’t emphasize it enough I love, love, love, this place… It is in my top two category. It had a special type of quietness that I enjoyed ‘That Day’ and it seemed able to supply that personal touch that will make our special upcoming celebrations memorable…

Here for a meeting. Huge room. Suite with wrap around balcony. Just lucky. Great view. But… no sundry shop. No place to but anything. Pounding music in lobby ²⁴⁄₇. Housekeeping didn’t come until 4:30 — 5:00. One restaurant. High end Nobu.
Lobby seems old. Elevators smell.

Realmente de los mejores hoteles que haya conocido; no solo por imponencia y belleza sino por atención. Cada tanto con la empresa nos toca asistir a eventos contables y financieros y en este caso en el Eden nos trataron de maravilla.
Esta reseña está basada en las instalaciones del hotel para exclusivamente eventos masivos; a disposición se tiene acceso a todo el segundo piso para llevar a cabo las sesiones, almuerzo, snacks, desayunos y visitas a los distintos booths de sponsors. Nosotros tuvimos con suerte de caer temprano y armar directamente todo el stand sin problema alguno. tuvimos acceso a la gente del hotel que durante todo el tiempo nos prestaron sus servicios cuando mas requeriamos. Aplauso especial para ellos.
Luego after primer día pudimos descansar en el increible bar del hotel y tomar de las mejores margaritas ever.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I stayed in this hotel in June 2015 for a couple of days. During my trip they had taken out a $ 450 security deposit without me knowing. So most of my vacation money was spent in this hotel’s hidden fees alone. To top things off at the end of the trip someone forged my signature on a dinner I never brought. I didn’t even buy a meal at that hotel because of how expensive it is. When I told this to the hotel personnel about this they pretty much said that they will «investigate» this. Obviously it never happened. Just as the other comments said the customer service is horrible and elevators are extremely awful. So unless you plan on having your trip filled with rip offs feel free to stay at that hotel. Otherwise I highly suggest you look elsewhere for a place.

Wheelchair or stroller access to the beach from this hotel is terrible, I was directed to an elevator across the pool area, it was filthy and smelled like something died in it. The elevator landed on what looked like a construction zone. We didn’t dare exit and returned to the pool level and fought our way down the stairs. The bar is way overpriced, $ 18 for a (less than generous pour) glass of house red wine. To add insult to injury, someone or something was banging so loud in the room above us the baby I was traveling with became hysterical, I called the front desk, and it did nothing to stop the problem. 30 minutes later when I called again, I specifically stated it was keeping the baby awake and to make the noise stop and not to disturbed us while doing so. 5 minutes later, amidst the continuing banging they call the room, really?

I would rather stay in a prison than return to Eden Roc. Let me count the ways.
1) An indifferent front desk staff that not only bordered on rude but actually lied during the check-​in process
2) Inaccurate reservation requests with ignored preferences
3) Balcony door that doesn’t close or lock
4) An oceanfront balcony without chairs? The front desk told us it is «impossible» for them to but chairs on the balcony (which all other balconies had). They then brought two office chairs with wheels for the balcony???
5) The elevators and hallways literally smelled like sewage.
6) One pool was closed /​under construction for the 5 days I was there; this wasn’t mentioned when I made the reservation on the phone.

8) Housekeeping that doesn’t come until 4:30pm?
9) Value? The price was the same as the Fontainebleau with barely functioning facilities.
HOWEVER, Oswaldo at the men’s spa was a courteous and helpful gentleman.

Agree with prior review that lower level employees were nice, management was horrible! Wanted to check out early and move to a different hotel as the traffic was so bad it took us an hour to go 12 miles. I was told by desk clerk that I needed to speak with Expedia for refund. Expedia contacted hotel management and was told that they wouldn’t refund. Asked for my room back and was told they had sold it (they were supposedly sold out). Asked again for the refund and was told no. However now they had a room for me. ??? So much deception and dishonesty! Will never go back there!!!
Also– bathroom faucets were broken, shower did not drain well and expensive room service was Denny’s caliber!

This is possibly the worst service I had received in a hotel in south beach.
My wife and I booked 2 massages at the Spa and because she was first, I decided to go to the pool for a quick bite to eat.
I got to the pool at 12:55 pm. I couldn’t get a server until 1:25 pm. I literally had to chase her down.
When I finally spoke to Denise, she was rude and unpleasant. I told her I had an appointment in 35 minutes and if I could get a kitchen sandwich in the next 20 mins. She said she would put in rush order.
I then see her at 1:45 PM and asked her about my sandwich. She threw her head back «said why don’t you be patient» and proceed to talk to another party for 15 minutes about being set up with their son.
I got by sandwich at 1:56 pm which I had to wolf down and was late to my massage.
Eden roc ! Never again.

I was here for my friend’s wedding this weekend. My experience had been utterly disappointing.
First the shower in my room wouldn’t heat up, no big deal. But after I called the front desk three times, they finally dispatched an engineer to look at it. By the time they got here, which was 20 minutes later, the wedding was about to start and my preparation schedule was ruined.
Then I went to ask the front desk when and where was the wedding breakfast was going to be. The answer they gave me ended up 2 hours earlier than it actually was going to be, and at a completely irrelevant place. I thought the time was strange but I thought I’d trust the staff. Well I guess you can’t trust them. So I ended up waking up two hours earlier, getting only 5 hours of sleep, and walked to a restaurant to meet and greet nobody.
After I confirmed the time and place again, I filed a complaint to the management. The manager took some notes but offered no compensation, which is astoundingly amateurish for a hotel that appears to aim high.

I went to the Eden Roc for an all day event on December 19^th, 5 days before Christmas. The hotel did not decorate for the holidays. There was not a single piece of evergreen, not a string of lights. Not a menorah. I noticed a sign that said they were throwing a New Years party. Don’t New Years parties include holiday décor? It was strange. I didn’t like it. I asked and the staff didn’t know why.

As a guest to the Miami Area, this hotel really did not live up to its stellar reputation. While the facilities are definitely 4-​star quality, the customer service is not.
This review will focus mostly on customer service, as that was the area that I noticed most. The kindest staff members you will meet are all the lower-​level employees, and most all above them, in any sort of managerial position, are the rudest people you will meet. Even though all employees were treated with respect, the action was not mutual. I would have experienced better customer service at a Best Western or Super 8. As paying guests to this resort, it should be the very first responsibility of all employees, not just those in custodial positions, to offer premium customer service.
What redeems this hotel is the facilities and the location. Each room manages to have an ocean view, and the resort has direct beach access. They are currently in the process of renovating a couple outdoor spaces, but this does take away from the feel of the hotel. All the spaces are clean, and extremely nice. I loved staying in the space.
If you specialize in dealing with extremely rude customer service men and women, then I invite you to give Eden Roc a try. If you prefer a quality hotel with equally fantastic service, look elsewhere.

This is a disgusting hotel. Me and my pregnant wife came here to drop off our Hertz Rental car, and despite THIS BEING THE SPECIFIED drop off point, they refused to accept the vehicle saying it was for hotel guests only. Then they said we should drop it off at another location (which had been closed for 5 hours). I asked if my pregnant wife could use the bathroom (pregnancy = need for more bathroom trips) and the guy said «If she’s not a hotel guest I don’t care if she’s dying. Move your car!» So: you should avoid this scum hole at all costs.

I watched the sun come up on this gorgeous beach!
It was clean, the water was warm, people were friendly.
Dolphin were flipping, pelicans skimming, and not a lot of seagulls! GORGEOUS!
I will return here on my next trip!

For the price I only give this resort 3 stars. I was there for an advertising conference for almost a week in September. They had construction going on inside and outside. The trucks inside had a loud beeping noise for when they backed up. Very unsettling and made the conference speakers hard to hear. THe prices at the bar and restaurant were a bit high for the value offer. Great view though! And the staff were great!

I loved my stay at the Eden roc. The construction had not concluded as of ⁹⁄₂₁ but I was not bothered. The staff is top notch. They gave us umbrellas when it rained, comp tickets to a club we were interested in and was very attentive at the beach and pool side.
I stayed during the and yes you can hear construction noises but honestly I was having so much fun I easily blocked them out.
The newer rooms were spacious, comfy and whoa baby that rain shower was great. My only negative would be that they only provided and apple clock radio and k couldn’t play my music in the room. Nowadays high end hotels have Bluetooth sound systems but not Eden roc. The other thing was no microwave.
Oh yes the breakfast buffet was worth it ask for the chocolate chip pancakes.

I stayed at the Eden Roc July 18^th-​July 22^nd and it was such an excellent stay. The location of the hotel was great! Right on the beach in Miami and far enough from the craziness of South Beach, but close enough for a $ 8 Über ride to get you right to dinner or lunch.
When we stayed it was unfortunate there was construction going on (I definitely want to return when this is over), it was noisy and overbearing, we were up ten stories and could still hear the construction because we were in the Ocean Tower facing the pool and beach. To me this isn’t enough to ruin my stay, the view was wonderful and you could still hear the music coming from the pool. We could see how busy the pool and beach were from our room which is a plus. I had been looking forward to this stay for so long that I wasn’t going to let a little construction ruin such a perfect visit.
It was my mom’s birthday gift so I was sure to book exactly the room type I wanted and they were able to accomodate our requests. The Ocean Tower really is great, a couple of steps from the pool and beach.
Since it was my mom and I we hung out at the adult pool mostly, where they serve drinks and food from the Grill until about 5p. (They also put plenty of alcohol in the drinks and all the bartenders were super nice) The pools and beach all closed at sun down which was fine since they open pretty early. The service at the adult pool was great, the attendants set up your chair and beds and look out for chairs for you (they are first come first serve). Tips are included for the food and drinks and you can room charge which comes super handy. The pool overlooks the beach which is super relaxing and they play great music all day.
Our room was really clean and nice. The room itself was decorated beautifully and the balcony was so nice to have lunch on in the middle of the day or to just relax and look out to the beach. Our housekeeper was great and left our room sparkling daily. There was also complimentary water, coffee, nuts, and cookies (depending on the day) in one of the hospitality rooms by the lobby which was a nice touch!
Overall we had such a great experience and the service was amazing! Would definitely recommend to all my friends and I am looking forward to coming back once the construction is all done!

This place sucks. Don’t do it. The hotel is a piece of shit with all the construction but for some reason they think they can still charge outrageous prices. And $ 30 for a fucking breakfast? And there are no restaurants around so you’re pretty much screwed. The rooms are low grade. My sink was clogged right when I walked into the room. Gross. The place is just grungy and has a bad feel. I highly recommend not staying here.
Update: Mosquitos everywhere. Loud construction wakes you up in the morning. They give you free drink coupons that say have a drink on the house (and do not have any limitations) but then when I ask for a shot of Jameson they say that doesn’t count. This place majorly sucks. Save your trip and do not come here.

It’s important to know that this hotel is currently under construction and this review is based off of the newer side of Eden Rock, not the older and smaller building that is adjacent.
I stayed here for four days with my fiancée on a little weekend getaway. It’s about a 8 dollar über ride to get to downtown south beach (Wet Willies and Fat Tuesday area).
Pro’s
The room we stayed in was on the 20^th floor in the newer remodeled area. It was gorgeous! If I were to ever build a beach house the master bedroom would need to look something like our hotel room. Bed faced the ocean, clean carpets, furniture, deep jetted jacuzzi, rain shower with a detachable shower head, dual sinks and a separate toilet area. I never heard much noise or commotion outside my room.
Right on the beach!!! I couldn’t have asked for better views. They had four different pools, one was under renovation but it didn’t deter me from seeking out more of the property.
Cons
There aren’t any other restaurants for a quick bite to eat nearby, and they don’t have any vending machines if you’d want a late night snack. You’re limited to the hotel restaurant which wasn’t bad, just sucked anything else was a good few blocks away.
150.00 per night deposit hold on your account. Sheesh! Highest I’ve seen and luckily I had the funds because at four nights that was a hefty deposit fee!
*****all in all I’d stay here again, it’s a beautiful resort. I will say, don’t book online, call prior to see which area of the hotel you’ll be staying in because I see a lot of negative reviews for the older side of Eden Roc

Only 3 stars? I actually loved my stay at the Eden Roc over the 4^th of July weekend. We took a mini staycation and decided to stay here for two nights to take advantage of the beach. We had booked an awesome Florida resident rate which included complimentary valet, breakfast for two adults, beach umbrellas and chairs, and they also waived the resort fee for your stay.
We arrived and valet as attentive and friendly. Upon checking in we were handed beach toys for my son and a couple of vouchers for free drinks. The hotel is being renovated so there’s no nice view inside but who cares? I went to be outside not in. The rooms were nice and we had a pretty decent view for our rate. We did end up ordering room service on 4^th of July and the food came shortly, after about 15 minutes.
The beach boys who search for chairs are awesome! They run around (in the hot sun) trying to look for the best spot for you. I suggest getting to the beach before 11 am, and before 9 am if you plan on spending time at the pool. We had gone down to the pool at around 8 am and there were already people there reserving chairs with towels.
The only downside to our trip was the elevators. Only two working elevators for the whole hotel so it will be a wait before you are able to get on, and you will likely squeeze in with about 10 other people. However! Whenever they did see a long line at the elevators, they would take a group downstairs to use a different set of elevators or «the express» as he called it. Five stars for acknowledging and resolving that issue.
Breakfast staff is friendly and amazing! One morning they even made my son Mickey Mouse pancakes. Food was your typical breakfast buffet: eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, sausages, etc.
Overall, We enjoyed every single part of our stay. Thank you Eden Roc!

I have been a long time native to Miami, lived in Chicago for several years and moved back to central Florida.
Therefore, I can provide some feedback to a place which I now very well.
Furthermore, this was my 1^st time actually staying at the hotel. I have been here several times for business conferences and events in the past. I usually stay at The Palms.
At 1^st my wife was going to change hotels based an all the reviews however, most seemed unfounded and baseless while others flat out stupid.
We stayed in one of the suites which was located in their new ocean towers 1451 spectacular view (see pics).
The room was ⁵⁄₅ very clean and no visible defects. Very well maintained.
My only issue was that despite having the suite which includes the foyer, dining section, living room, bedroom with a spacious balcony we did not have a simple microwave. For those with children you know this is very important.
Yes, construction is ongoing and will be done in June of 2016. They are renovating the main area and restaurant (Nobu) as well as the main pool, deck and the OLD building. This is a big and long project and noise is present Mon-​Friday
So if you are on the lower floors you will here the noise during the day. Not a problem for me since I was high up!

I tried their «ceviche» and honestly it was what I expected specially if you have tried authentic Ecuadorian or Peruvian ceviche.
As far as the Cuban food it was again ok but $$$ for the quality
Now for those who drink:
I was surprised with the amount of alcohol provided in their drinks this was great! Exceeded expectations
I asked several times for Baleys on ice and I was given a full sized glass filled (sort of red solo cup)
Their Miami Vice was also good quality
So in fairness the hotel did not seem to be holding back on drinks or washing them down with frozens or ice!
During my 4 night stay I did not get room service so I can not comment
The gym was of good size the had several running machines as well as machines and dumbbell which ranged from 2.5 — 60lbs
They DID NOT have free weights such as barbell or ez curl bar FYI
I did not use the spa so I can not comment
The beach is great, close and they provide chairs and umbrellas, water is clear and the temp is 90 this time of the year. During low tide pockets or areas of «water pools» form which is great for children to swim and play in

Yes, they have a STARBUCKS COFFEE in the main lobby and yes you can use your APP!
The valet parking was great, my car was taken care of NO scratches, no dents, etc. however, my car was always parked in the ramp/​main entrance (Italian cars do attract attention)
Overall my stay with my family was fun and relaxing despite the construction (only down side). I would return next year once renovation is complete!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary (checked in on a Friday and left on a Monday)
I read a lot of reviews and so I had mix emotions of what I was expecting. Here is our experience:
We arrived early at around noon. They had a room available and could check us in without an issue. There was a mix up with (Expedia) and my charges but the front desk lady Alexandra was very professional. She helped me solved it and we were given a room in the legendary tower — main tower. Our room was on the 7^th floor and the room was beautiful with no view or balcony but it was still nice. We had a very comfortable king size bed, TV that worked (I had read that some didn’t lol), a nice spacious bathroom — my favorite part. The room came with 2 bottles of waters, 2 robes, toiletries (lotions, soap, shower caps), a fridge no microwave, an iron and ironing board, and an ihome stereo thingy. It was really nice and I was expecting worst based off review.
The place is huge! There are 3 pools. 2 small jacuzzis and access to the beach. Everything was beautiful. Our package came with two beach chairs and towels. The staff at the beach were friendly and helpful. They walk you to your beach chair and set it up for you.
There is a Starbucks in the hotel but that’s about it there really isn’t anything within a 5 mins way to get food. You either stop somewhere before your trip, rent a car and go in and out or order room service. While at the beach we ordered food. The menu is expensive (18 dollars for a small pepperoni pizza, 12 dollar drinks, 4 dollars sodas etc). The food was okay but not horrible. I also had a drink (ciroc and pineapples) that was)18.00 and tasted like they didn’t wash the cup out right and had a taste of mojitos.
Oh we went to the gym and it was alright nothing out of ordinary the spa looked nice but we didn’t use any of there services. We also had free wifi that worked sometimes and sometimes didn’t.
The location is okay you are far from the strip and where all the actions is taking place. I recommend staying with a car If you choose this place. Cabs to the strip were about 25.00 (meter cabs– one way). And you can always grab a cab outside. Places to get food nearby if you don’t want to stay in the hotel are subways, a Walgreen, and Carabbas– not much options.
Overall it’s a beautiful hotel! If your planning to stay here because you over the Miami night life and just want to relax I highly recommend it but I do advise to come with at least triple your room rate because you’ll probably be depending on their food services and that’s expensive. If your renting a car than this place is great as well. If you want to stay on budget and enjoy the night life and restaurants SOBE offers I would pick a hotel closer to the strip you might pay more but than you your just a walk away from it all.
I would stay here again but I would either come and be prepared to stay in the hotel my entire trip and rack up on room service or come with a car.

The property that is the Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach superbly makes use of the space from the Biscayne Bay on one side, all the way to the Atlantic Ocean & beach on the other — and tons of greatness in-​between. 4.5 stars!
Upon arrival, you’re greeted by very professional staff, the doors are opened to allow you to enter the very opulent ER Lobby Bar designed by legendary architect Morris Lapidus (some attribute the vast M/​S Beach Art Deco influence to M.L.) and then to check-​in. Fast and friendly. Despite how busy the hotel can be, your bags are delivered in a matter of minutes. Amazing!
Rooms: You have a choice of staying in the older, shorter tower that has rooms that overlook the grounds or with small balconies & Biscayne Bay views. As some others have mentioned, I highly suggest you choose the other newer, taller tower and be certain to pay for the upgrade to get a beach view. Somehow I was really lucky & ended up scoring a corner room on the 21^st (highest) floor in the tower. Sure, you may not spend much time in your room when visiting M/​S Beach; however, waking up to such an amazing view and sitting out on the extra large (~8’x10’) terrace in a 2-​person sized lounger is worth every penny of the extra ~$ 70+tx/night. In addition, it’s simply wonderful to just keep the door open and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the ocean all the way up. Also, a very romantic spot to have a night cap and enjoy the twilight views with your sweetie or a great opp for some peaceful introspection. The best!
Pools: There are FOUR beautiful pools on-​site; all relatively close together; w/​one (on top of the Cabana Café) adult only, a little more rowdy (or actually less with no screaming kiddos) with some kicking tunes & great ocean views. All pools are heated for year-​round use, which is a very nice touch (while the weather is fairly consistent, the water can get a bit cool). Most importantly, unlike other large (er) resorts (e.g., in Vegas) where you are forced to walk 10+ minutes to get to a place to relax, the pools at ER are quickly and simply accessed (particular from the newer tower): down the elevator, out the side door, and about a 20 yard walk through the pretty outside property filled with palm trees and flowers. Poolside drink service available at all pools.
Beach: Eden Roc has its very own private beach, so you won’t be hassled with «beach sellers» and other unwanted people. Just walk past the pool area, down a small path, and you’re on the beach. White sand and crystal clear blue water all the way! The daily resort fee included in the total daily room rate insures seating for 2 each day (no fighting to get a spot like at many other places). The beach area includes 100% top notch, royal treatment. You will be greeted by staff, provided towels, and escorted with lounger of choice (several different types of seating to chose from; e.g., umbrellas, beds for two, etc.) to your preferred area. Need some assistance with a SPF? «Yes, please, a little on my back.» They will come to your spot and spritz you with lotion! And, of course, several wait staff walking around taking orders for cocktails/​drinks throughout.
Drinks: Grab a classic cocktail at the iconic Lobby Bar (great mojitos), a cold one at the Cabana Beach Club (they have HH), pool/​beach side service, and very soon to come Nobu onsite (sometime this summer).
Eats: Small bites and entrées offered in the Lobby Bar or outside Cabana Beach Club with great oceanfront views, room service delivered in record time (large resort, no more than 30 minutes!)…and/or Nobu.
Location: Eden Roc is located directly off of Collins Ave. in the heart of MBeach. Tranquil area with local restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance; quiet without being boring. Take a short $ 10 cab down Collins to South Beach and stroll Ocean Drive, partake in all party & club fun, etc. Also, ER is located right next to Fountainebleau (same architect as ER), that offers tons of high end shopping & dining options, as well as the world famous LIV night club. LIV doesn’t get started until about 2 a.m., so hanging in SOBE, enjoying dinner & pre-​lubing (maybe some time at Mango’s!) prior to heading back to FB and dancing your ass off at LIV is idea… then stumble next door to Eden Roc where it’s actually going to be quiet enough for you to catch some well needed zzzzs to refresh for the next day. Seriously! Trust me! [FB is GREAT, but if you want a little more low-​key ER is idea — best of both worlds.]
Overall: Eden Roc is by far one of my fav hotels in the area. Offers all of the amenities I desire (beach front!), as well as conveniently located to all of the other area craziness without the constant bombardment of it. Stellar staff, amazing architecture, and nice rooms at a decent price (relative to S/​Miami Beach)! Recommend!
