Popped in here for a quick pick-me-up while shopping on foot in SoBe. I ordered an Americano. It came without milk and I couldn’t find any to add to it. Guess I should have asked. Regardless, it was very un-tasty. Not bad, but not at all enjoyable. Very weak, with little flavor. I threw it out. Seems I should have ordered a latte or cappuccino; perhaps that’s where their talents lie.

Cafetto on South Beach is one of my favorites, they have great hot chocolate. I finally tried their food, I ordered the ham and cheese and I have to say I was surprised, it was one of the best ham and cheese panini that have had. Also we tried a couple of the tapas, the Spanish omelet and bread with tomatoes and mozzarella. The omelet was really good but the bread was amazing. They have free wifi, so if you work from home and can take your computer up to Cafetto, this is a great place to work from, I know I am going to make the trip at least one a week.

When I am in the mood for non Cuban coffee in Miami Beach, I go here. This is a good quiet place to have a nice cup of coffee.

Charming little spot to pass a few hours reading or catching up with email and such. Beware one of the female workers has has a unique definition of nonfat milk. 2% counts as nonfat, no matter how much I begged to differ. I was on vacation and keeping the mood positive, so I wasn’t about to argue the point further, and sipped my surprisingly good black roast in peace.

So I pass this place by and notice wine bottles on the back wall. And an extremely comfortable european place to rest one’s weary head and relax. And I’m drawn to it like the moth to the flame. I cannot begin to count how many times I’ve been here since that first time. It’s become a habit with me. The latte in the morning is heaven, definitely better than any I can compare it to. And the lovely french owner makes many of the desserts. And they’re so good that it feels like coming home.

This little café with the yellow awning is quite cute and off the main strip of restaurants and cafes on Lincoln Road. I enjoyed a delicious Cafetto caramel and a pineapple coconut yogurt muffin that the waitress warmed up. This place also makes omelettes and other breakfast items.

After going to Washington street we were looking for someplace for coffee that wasn’t a Starbucks. We walked in here and the first thing I noticed was the cool artwork. We ordered a mocha and vanilla latte. The difference about Cafetto was that they don’t use syrups for the vanilla latte, the beans are actually infused with vanilla so the taste is throughout the cup of coffee. It was funny when one lady went back up to the counter and asked to have more vanilla flavor added. The owner kept telling her it is in the bean and not additionally added. After about 3 minutes the lady finally got it. The layout of the place gives you a sense of posh calmness. I could just sit there all day eat and drink coffee while listen to the music. Luckily for me they were playing house and trance that morning.

We stumbled upon this place while walking through Washington street and to get out of the rain, we came in here for a quick latte, which ended up being longer because we were just there, relaxing, talking over our lattes and just enjoying the little trinkets and paintings in the place. It’s very cozy, the woman who served us was very friendly and even struck up a conversation with us. I ordered the caramel latte which was very good and perfect for the windy rain outside. My husband got the mocha latte and that was good too! This was the only café we noticed on the block, the rest were chains like Starbucks and whatnot and to us, it’s not really a café. An hour later, we walked out for dinner.

I want to like this place, in part because of the severe drought of comfortable coffee shops in miami. the coffee is good and the atmosphere is less sterile than most cafes in miami. still the crowd looks like aged versions of cheerleaders and meatheads, and the music they pipe at you is a barrage of bad house, britney spears, and ricky martin. that being said you would go there over the other options, the café equivalent of desperate sex, still depressing.

i came here for a quick omelette, but it was everything but that. my omelette took 15 minutes. one person running the café was not enough. the omelette was okay, but the potato chips were salty.

I just love spending a lazy afternoon here reading and drinking coffee. This is a great place to come when you just need to reset and mellow out before jumping back into the chaos of life. I look forward to coming here once a week to spend some quiet time with myself as I unload, re-energize and reset! It is peaceful and relaxing and time well spent.

Good things come in small packages, is probably the easiest way to sum up Cafetto, as its probably the best coffeehouse on the beach and arguably one of the best in Miami. Once you step inside you quickly feel the Euro vibe and rightfully so as it is locally owned and operated by a French couple. While I was there, they came in and were friendly while they added some touches to the décor and hung out. The drinks come in recyclable cups and are made strong, sweet, and extra hot,(triple threat) so keep that in mind when ordering. I didn’t have any cash on me,(yes, I’m one of those girls that never has cash on her and ps, that’s what debit cards were created for) and although they do have an ATM on site, I decided to add a sweet, little something to my bill to go over the $ 3 minimum necessary to pay with a debit card. I settled on the chocolate cake and wasn’t disappointed, expect a small but good selection of bites from quiches to bagels and sweets. As for atmosphere, don’t expect any usual coffee house/college radio/alternative music here instead it’s poppy, and even lovey ballads, yes, go ahead and Listen to Your Heart or bring some headphones, as the latter will keep you from potentially crying into your coffee. Nonetheless, this lovely little café is ideal for lounging or working the day away. However, at night it’s definitely more of a chilling spot as the lighting changes completely think of it as Dr. Coffee/Mr. mini Euro lounge complete with laser pointer show, and small multicolor lights… good news though, the soundtrack changes, bad news, no it doesn’t get better. ;)

A local French couple(Anne Marie et Olivier) owns this coffee shop in Miami Beach. The coffee shop a local jewel that offers quality coffee, quality chocolates, and even wine! They display local art and sometimes have concerts inside. And on top of that, you can come here to take courses on how to be a barista!
