V & F Auto Body

On 10÷30÷15 my beautiful car was rear ended by a scumbag hit and run driver. Fortunately, my car insurance company (Liberty Mutual) took care of me and allowed me to do business with this very fine establishment located in Metuchen, NJ. They did a ***stellar job*** and the office staff was SUPER nice! I highly recommend! Thank you V&F for making my car new again!

Omg! LOVE LOVE LOVE my auto body shop. They make the ugly after an accident look brand new again. Found them year’s ago when another local Body shop really messed up my car, so I called Frank and he made it all good again. Would never trust anyone but V&F with my car again.

They completed horrible work and gave me used parts without telling me. The «work» was not completed on time and almost 2 weeks late. My phone calls were unanswered. When I voiced my disappointment in person, I was met with intimidation and plain harassment. I would have filed a lawsuit if it didn’t cost so much money. Stay away.

Excellent work, done on-​time. They even fought my ins co to use new parts rather than used… at no extra cost to me. Also, they washed and detailed the entire outside of the car — age never looked so good. Lastly, I know I had a slow leak in two of my tires which is aggregated in the cold. I didn’t mention it. They inflated my tires as well. Good folks, outstanding results.

I had the misfortune of being sideswiped in my brand new truck while driving to work in November. The other driver was at fault and her insurance company sent me to V&F for an estimate. This was the first time I needed to have body work done on a vehicle. I didn’t know anything about the body shops near my house and I was leery about using the one the insurance company was pushing me towards.
The estimate was very thorough and detailed. I was pleasantly surprised that every little scratch and dent was documented, photographed and sent to the insurance company. Once the insurance company released payment I scheduled the repairs.
V&F had my truck for 4 days (exactly how long they originally estimated). I had several small dents right in the body line of my front door and several major scratches in the paint. They fixed the dents and painted both passenger side doors as well as the fender to blend everything in. You can’t tell there were ever any scratches or dents. The quality of the job done was fantastic.
So the quality of work is great but how’s the customer service? That was great too! John, Nicole, Victoria and Michelle were very friendly throughout the process. I received a phone call, text and/​or email every single day with updates on the progress of the repairs and the estimated day and time they would be complete.
Overall, this is a good business. Rest assured they will fix your vehicle correctly and treat you well.

This place has no compassion for someone who is in an accident and missing their car and what is means to your livelihood.
They are corrupt and will try to make a profit out of your situation anyway they can.
The owner Nicole is immature and won’t talk to you when there’s an issue instead let’s the secretary do the message delivery. It seems like she inherited the business from family and she will surely destroy any good reputation they have.
They have no sense of right or wrong.
I can not speak to their actual body work cause I never got to that point with them but stay away.
This is by far the worst service I have ever encountered. I’ll keep to the facts so you guys can come to your own conclusion, but stay away from this shop. I was referred to the shop through liberty mutual, I took my car in which at the time was not a total loss so they were going to fix it through the insurance and things were fine. Once they took it apart more and they found more damage and insurance and the shop deemed it a total loss. I spoke the insurance and decided I’d take the check for the car keep the car (with a salvage deduction from the check) and let V&F fix the car and I would pay any extra cost out of pocket. Everyone is fine with this insurance closes my case and now I just have to wait for the shop to fix the car. About after a week of delaying the secretary Michelle calls me and tells me the owner Nicole wants me to sign a non liability form– stating that if any of the work that they do on my car fails they are not responsible. Hmmmm isn’t that the whole point of paying the shop to fix your car and keep in mind I had a airbag deployed so this was a matter of safety. Needless to say I didn’t sign the form and asked to have a my car back and I would get it towed to another shop that agreed to fix it without this very sneaky form signed. This is where everything falls apart. At no point did I sign after the insurance case was closed and this liability ordeal came about did I authorize them to fix my car or order parts but v&f had ordered $ 2000 of parts that they couldn’t return and wanted to charge me with the bill. I said it is not my problem that they ordered the parts, asked me to sign a non liability form and pushed me away to another shop. They responded with a very mature were holding your car until you pay us. At this point I tried to reach negotiation and said just fix the car with out me signing the form so we can get on with it and go our separate ways, they refuse. My car has now been in v&fs hands for 1.5 months and no work has been down I have no way of getting to work and they just don’t care. After lawyers and the insurance getting involved again and agreement was reached that I would pay for the parts bring them to another liberty mutual approved shop where they would use the parts to fix my car. V&f tried to sell the parts at retail price to make a profit which I did not allow happen and by the time my car was fixed at the other shop there was $ 1000 dollars of parts that weren’t necessary that v&f should have never order. When I asked them for my money back they were rude and again with lawyers and insurance getting involved only paid me $ 400 of the $ 1000. The take aways from the review are listed at the top.
