Unilocal said they were open, the note on the door said they should be open… they weren’t open. I took a large detour there just the get dippin dots but either they are closed forever or someone just decided they didn’t want to work that day. Either way, they basically ruined my day.

I was bored one after while in Paducah, Kentucky, and decided to head across the river to Metropolis. I had heard about the Superman statue as well as the largest (?) Dippin’ Dots store. Since I love Dippin’ Dots, I decided to stop in.
The employee was very friendly and allowed me to sample multiple flavors and gave some suggestions. I then decided to mix a few options I had not tried before and aren’t as common. (Though the rainbow will always be my favorite!) The interior is cool, but I opted to eat mine outside at a picnic table, since it was a nice day.
It was a nice treat to have on a free afternoon, and there were a number of flavors they offered which I had never seen before. If you like Dippin’ Dots or are around checking out Superman, I recommend stopping in. (They also have pizza it appears, but I didn’t look further into that.) I don’t know that I’ll be back, just because of location, but it was worth my stop! My taste buds appreciated it.
